I've got a silver to match my sub and a rasta because it's my favorite, I think if I get another one the black looks pretty sweet. There is no wrong choice here!

Just ordered a 3 piece SCS gun metal grey from Vapelife.
Will report on how it works after trying it.
SCS also emailed me back that they are an authorized dealer.

I was debating on getting just the 2 piece small but decided to try the 3 piece.
I currently have an el cheapo 2 piece and a 4 piece Denver Broncos logo mid range quality.
SCS should fill the top quality hole....

Hmm... Anyone have a Sharpstone crank handle grinder? I need some advice
http://www.sharpstonegrinders.com/sharpstone-xl-clear-top-hand-crank-4-piece-grinder-3-black/

There is one available at my local hydroponic store for about $49 AUS ($45 US) and i'd be able to get that today and skip the postage costs of getting an SCS...
At the moment my SSC card looks like this :( Very bleak!
Small 3 Piece Shredder - Purple - $52.00 + estimated $39.00 postage and handling to Australia

Close to $100 for a small SCS. Fuuuck
I had a play with the SHarpstone in the store and it feels legit, very solid, sharp, heavy and easy to use. Obviously I didnt grind herbs in it but it appears to be an outstandingly well-built product.

dont buy a crank grinder, the handle will break and refuse to turn when you load it. If you do get one you can't put any stress on the crank or it will break and spin freely while not spinning the blades.

I had this happen to me with a legit sharpston and a kannistor brand one.

Fuck! Exactly the response I was praying to not receive.
If SCS is the best in the world why do they make it so hard for the Aussies to enjoy it :(

Hi,
was your quote from Vapelife, with the huge shipping $ ?
Have you also tried directly from SCS where the price is more like $60
but maybe the shipping is not stratospheric ...........

ONLY tried the SCS site so far. $40 postage to australia :(
If you cant find the SCS for a reasonable price increase your search to space case, cosmic case, mendo grinder, etc

SCS is a very nice grinder because of the unusual grinding teeth that sort of fluff the herb but there are many other high quality grinders out there.

I think there is a mendo mulcher in the classified section right now for a good $

They only send to USA and CA.

Deja Vu:
Try chceck PlanetVape, I ordered from them yesterday and shipping was acceptable (Slovakia).
I got my 2pce from planetvape - I love their service, can't recommend them highly enough.
(I got my scs along with some other stuff, but PV has reasonable shipping options to aus [after I kicked up a minor stink a few years back that their only shipping option was $45+, they fixed it up and have low cost shipping options :)])

Thanks for all of those suggestions FCers. Unfortunately however; it looks like none of them have a small 3 piece. Fate has spoken.. I sit and wait

Researching more into it, but it looks grim for Australia on this one.

PlanetVape has the nicest variety, but the cheapest shipping they offer is still $20. Maybe it would be best to save and get the exact size and colour 3 piece directly frmo SCS. Bit of a tricky one..

Apart from hitting up PV and/or Aus Vapes for a 3-piece, you could ask SCS for a freebie to send with your 3 piece to make up for the postage cost. I emailed them to let them know that I would have liked a small rasta 4-piece but that I would have to just buy a black one from PV if there was no cheaper shipping option. They said that their shipping charge was fixed due to the shipping company they use, but that they would be happy to throw in a small 2-piece for free to make up for the shipping. I've seen several customers from Europe etc. reporting the same deal from SCS. Not sure if they would make the same deal with the 3-piece as it's worth $12 less than the 4-piece. Perhaps they might offer a free mini 2-piece with the purchase of a small 3-piece.

I guess that might not do the trick if it is about the overall cost rather than the value for you. I reckon having a 2-piece to throw in your pocket would be a nice addition though.

I never did make an order from them but I'm up for a 3-piece in the not too distant future. I wouldn't mind splitting the postage with you if you were keen, but I suppose that once you have to repackage one of the grinders and resend it within Oz, we could be close to were we started in shipping charges anyway.

There's so many great grinders out there, and new ones are coming out all the time. I decided to poke around amazon for 3-piece grinders, and while they don't have scs's, I found a very interesting one.

If you click the link, they also come in silver and blue. The design seems to be well thought out, with the upper lip on the inside to prevent residue buildup, aggressive "shredder-like" teeth, a nice rounded herb storage chamber, and of course the teardrop shape for those of us that are grip-challenged. I also like the placement of the magnet on the outside to not only line the teardrop up properly, but also to eliminate that middle area magnet that squashes instead of shredding the herb. The colored models are $49, and the silver one is $10 less so I would think it's not anodized like the colored models just polished aluminum.

For that price I hope they are high quality aluminum. But I agree, I hate how the magnet takes up so much space and can squish the herb, this design does look ingenious. Loved the rounded chamber too, my glass trays are like that. Well thought out.

Thanks for sharing!!!!
