As far as flavoring goes, I would start with just a few drops. If you over flavor it there's no going back.

Also, I noticed that the tank you use, along with the battery voltage makes a big difference in taste as well. I have had a batch not taste good at one voltage but taste amazing at another.

Like GoGlass said, there tends to be a reason why it doesn't taste good and there tends to be some trial and error to get there. I would say if your concentrate tastes good while "dabbing" there's no reason it shouldn't taste good mixed with EJMix.

Greetings, just got done making my first batch of EJmix at a 1:1 ratio. Not crazy about the taste. In the future if I wanted to add flavoring to the EJmix what is the recommended ratio? I read thru the thread some people recommend 3-4 drops while others say 50/50. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice. Im using a protank 3 with a cheapo ego battery. The BHO I used was quite delicious prior to mixing with the EJmix. The taste isnt "bad" per se its just got a sweet aftertaste im not accustomed to. Figured adding some flavor might help?

PG definitely has a flavor, slightly sweet to me, at a 50/50 mix with EJmix I find the BHO flavor gets lost and gets boring to me. I vape ejuice for my nicotine and like a lot of flavor, I mix some of my own juices and mix in concentrated flavors to the Nic juice, I mostly use organic flavors and sometimes use natural flavors, a few drops is all it takes. Now when I want a spiked vape I just screw on my EJmix tank with some flavoring and no one bats an eye at me and thinks I am just hitting my ejuice.

That is basically the exact experience I am going thru. Know any good websites for concentrated flavors? Thanks again!

Sure. This is a place I use a lot for their juices. https://www.vaperite.com/vape-juice there are many more but they where highly recommended to me years ago when I started vaoing ejuices and they have made me happy with good service and quality product so I will recommend them easily.

I make my own (DIY) ecig juices. Ecigexpress has a lot of different varieties of concentrated flavors as well as premixed juice. I personally like and use the Flavors Express and Hangsen flavorings.
I don't like artificial flavoring personally but in fairness I did not look at all of your links flavors. I know of many places that have weed flavors but they are mostly all artificial and well they taste artificial. Sometimes an all organic flavor is not my preference and use natural flavoring. Natural and organic flavoring have no artificial additives. However taste is what you are after so getting the right flavor is very subjective.

If one makes their own BHO it is just as easy to extract your own flavor concentrates as well. I believe liquidizer has some info on this if I am not mistaken. If they don't it is an easy find through google.

I may not have read his post correctly. I didn't think he was wanting a MJ flavor. I just thought he was just trying to flavor his juice.

I agree, if he is wanting a natural weed flavor, then there are probably better options.

I have been using winterized dispensary purchased wax with a 1:1 mix in a sapphire cart. No leaks in probably 5 months of use. I don't taste any plastic, but then again I am pretty liaise faire when it comes to my medicine. Sapphires are awesome for portability and discrete use.

So, I've read this whole thread, and thank you, @Liquidizer, this is what I've been looking for since for ever. The Pinacle Pro is stealthy, but not stealthy enough. Do you ship to Europe?

I should try doing some extractions before the extreme winter sets in. For now, I'm considering some QWISO runs, which I am also new to, but nothing this forum can't teach me :brow:

I was wondering if any one have had any luck extracting from old school hashes? @boomshanker wrote about using charras, how did that go? I'm thinking of using high end Morrocan hash.

And it also struck me, would it be possible to dilute straight up old school hash in the EJMix? I know most of you, my fellow US and Canada canna brethren, won't be able to answer this, but it's worth asking. Traditional hashes tend to have more plant matter relative to the active ingredients, but it's still a concentrate (the original one hehe), so would this be possible at all with a little experimentation or am I barking up a dead tree here? :ugh:

Where I'm at proper high end strains is rather expensive, where as good hashes are rather cheap and modern concentrates are virtually unknown.

Any one happy with the outcome of ABV runs, or is this more of a novelty thing?

I live in a city center, but in the summer time I can just go into the mountains and extract in peace. In the winter though... That is why I would love blending a already made concentrate like the hash with the EJmix.

TIA and happy vaping!

Well first you should dissolve your hash with the purest Ethanol, make oil with a little temperature then mix with EJmix and let evape ethanol at 60°C.

@NorVape No ISO involved! Ethanol not ISOpropanol

Hash to EJuice should make:
Step 1: dissolution of hash into ethanol. put few ethanol with very well spread hash to make oil into a bain marie setup. It take time and procedures. may be add a filtration part for heavy particles.
Step 2: Make Ejuice. once you have some runny oil material made of ethanol and hash, you add EJMix.
Step 3: Purge. you purge the Ethanol of the mixture by letting it evaping by 60°C.
May be add some essential oils of lemon or else for flavoring.

You can mix some QWISO or QWET directly into EJMix though.

Allright! Thank you, @Vapodudule

I'm looking to ISO extract old school middle eastern style hash though, since I have hash and ISO 99% in abundance. What I can't seem to find a solid answer to is how long I should let this kind of hash soak in ISO, or at what temps (freezing, heating etc.)

Should I let it soak in ISO in the freezer, should I heat it? I find very conflicting reports online :(

Well experiment and tell us. Little samples to let them soak normal temp and freezer. ISO is pretty agressive and liver toxic so hash should melt pretty fast.

How will you pruge ISO?
I do not know the possible interaction between ISO and EJMix though.

Well, yup, maybe I have to be the guy to get the info online! All in the name of science, of course :uhoh:

I think I will air purge it, and be patient. Maybe a little heat at the end.

Maybe I should just crumble it finely, put it in a mason jar, pour cold ISO over it, stir, see if it dissolves with out heat, pour through filter, let the ISO evaporate off naturally, add some heat after a day or two... and then mix it with EJMix?

I know a friend did this, but he applied heat to get it to dissolve. And that goo was very dark. But tasty and hard hitting.

temperature activates transformations and reactions.

It will turn into black goo but will not loose its potency. My EJuice QWET made are really too heavy when not diluted. I put 1:2 QWET/EJmix in weight.

To anyone getting a burnt taste with a Kanger Protank Mini... I have a solution. Basically our BHO e-juice is a little thicker than normal e-liquid. There is a grommet that sits atop your wicks. You simply flip it upside down. This allows better wicking and has eliminated burnt hits for me. I'm blowing clouds now.

Here is more information:

Yeah, I tried filtering the solution through both coffee filters and a panty hose, but the hash dissolved into the ISO thus clogging the screen, keeping the hash in the solution for to long resulting in a rather dirty concentrate. I'm considering adding ISO again and filter it once more to get the remnants of the hash out.

Alright so I am having serious wicking issues - the ejmix burned the wick in one of the GS-H2 clearomizers I was testing! Too thick mixture perhaps? I also tried a ce5 wickless clearomizer with minimal success. Anyone had this problem? My mini protank 3 with a different style coil pictured below seems to work much better albeit in a significantly thinner mixture. Anyone recommend a good cheap clearomizer that works with ejmix?

Have you tried the fix I posted earlier? Basically flip the grommet sitting above your Protank wicks.

I was having the same issues with the same gear (MPT3 with v2 coil) using .3ml EJ per gram, but just today I mixed a few batches using .6ml in one and .8 in the other and they both flow much better. On the V2 coils the grommet on top doesn't cover anything so flipping it won't help, but I have heard of people using a small drill to remove the space between the holes on the side of the casing :) This would mimic the V3 heads (I have some V3s on order from Fasttech if they ship the right ones lol, fingers crossed) which have the vertical oval holes on the sides. I personally was hesitant to mix down my extract too much at first fearing loss of potency, but so far I have had no complaints when using just enough so I can see it move in the tank when I tip it. In fact the improved flow has allowed for some massive rips :) Good luck man post if you find a good solution, I'll report back when/if I get the V3s . And any new info on the alleged V4s with ceramic wick would be greatly appreciated. Lastly I just want to send a huge thanks to every person who ever posted here, the info I have gained from all of it has been priceless!

Also wondering about the general consensus on d-limonene for flavor/solvent use? I know Pure Gold uses it, but the e-cig community seems down on it as it is an oil and can cause lipid pneumonia in extreme cases. I'm thinking of using .2ml limonene and .5ml ejmix with 1g of shatter or possibly some Refine Seattle Clear Concentrate, which is basically Pure Gold so is pretty potent but a bit lacking in terpenes. Any wisdom?
