At $26.25 this piece is a steal! Mine looks exactly like the pic above. It is 4.75" tall at mp tip, 3.75" at 14mm joint tip, there are 14 uniform and precise slits on a reinforced from the bottom "tire", more like a showerhead perc. It sits well in my hands and propped up on my sifting box. Nice thick glass with a low center of gravity. Easily in my top 5 China pieces 1) gb-187 (Yingmin5) 2) double barrel (Yingmin5) 3) CCG curved worked inline (CCG) 4) "Beldar" (Alina0086) 5) D020-W (Sunshine)

Double edit: Or the 420 Colored Glass Bong? I noticed the price is slowly creeping up. It was only $38.90 when I ordered and now it is up to $53.68. So I doubt I'll ever get it.

so my YQ42 was supposed to arrive today but unfortunately it did not. it went out for delivery (one town over instead of my town) this morning. it was never delivered and neither post office has seen it. anyone have a similar experience with USPS? ive never had an order go out for delivery but not be completed or leave a note. nbd but a little frustrating knowing its so close :shrug:

The last piece I ordered from Dhgate showed "out for delivery" for 2 days before I actually received it on the USPS tracking site. Have you tried your tracking number there.

USPS tracking should be way more accurate/timely than the dhgate tracking.

My understanding of how intl shipping tends to work is that once it is in the destination country, it just goes through the regular local postal channels, unless it's been shipped through a private shipping/courier company (So if it was shipped UPS/FedEx/DHL, their guys will handle it on both ends, but if it's shipped china post, USPS will handle it once it lands in the US).

So the Dhgate tracking would basically just be the USPS tracking, after it's been filtered back through the Chinese post carrier, and Dhgate

Fedex and USPS, have the access to the same tracking system. when something is shipped via fedex in the US it can be looked up USPS or Fedex. My work ships and receives mainly USPS and Fedex. also, if shopping stuff its cheaper vs those brown dudes. Btw, they ALL still suck lol...

yeah that is what i thought. i will call both post offices in the morning and make sure they keep an eye out. if i dont have in monday i will take more serious action though, im not sure what my options are exactly. maybe it will just magically show up in the morning:zzz:

That site does have some of the same designs as DHgate, but I can tell you that they are not made in the same factory as the DHgate pieces we buy. Some of the items I know are made by Apollo Glassworks, which is a glass company in New York.

I have ordered some pieces from GlassPipeMaster and they are much better quality than most DHgate pieces I have purchased.

For example I bought this piece on GPM. It is made by Apollo Glassworks. Quality is perfect. I bought it for $85. It is also sold on iOffer for $110

A lot of pieces on DHgate are copies of actual pieces other companies make (like the Mobius pipes).

Don't get me wrong though, a lot of online glass sites and local shops do sell DHgate pieces at a ridiculously high mark up price :doh::hmm::bang:

Thanks for your input. I could be completely wrong as per your post but as a rule of thumb I now usually just read any glass description without any word of it's place of manufacture as made in China. Yes there are a lot of rip offs but this is because the knowledge in making these products is fast catching up to the American glass game.

I wouldn't be surprised if some brands presented as American made are actually made in China (looking at Gravlabs). I mean it's bound to happen with much low labour cost in these countries and the same access to those technologies. The end result is the consumer winning and greater access to a variety of glass at a much lower price. The downside is that it kills the local industry if they can't innovate or differentiate on the various points of value.

It's interesting to observe early stage development of the cannabis products industry - especially in the past 4 years and especially with the glass game.

I know it's a knockoff of a $1-2k piece, but $146 seems too high for my liking, even if it is a big piece...

I guess a pillar would be harder to make (and conceptualise assuming we're still running with the theory that most of the blowers over there don't understand the intended function of the pieces)

I say we throw the idea of the GB187 side car.I want to see if he will back up his statement.We may have stumbled upon some thing good. I say we hit em up. I and another member bought a triple vortex disc A/C from him, work was good and he was the cheapest on price . The highlighted DHG above will take you to his page, hit him up with a e mail and a design.I say dont throw a mster piece at him but things we like,maybe another type of recycler?? there has to be some designs we would all love to see, so if you feel creative jump up on it.

If I had to choose between the two pieces I would go Alina all day. The mp style and placement and polished slits are cool but not for more than twice or three times the price. Plus look at the joint, the slant on the top pic is no beuno for a vape, even with that low center of gravity, snap. The joint on Alina is straight up, I can rest my Nano on top with ease and my LSV violates this beauty with no tips as well. This piece gives me confidence in Alina's other products bc it's very clean and uniform.
