They're good quality. Just stick to sunshine store and yingmin's one from personal experience - the ones where people have already purchased. With Yingmin's I'd personally recommend his bubblers and matrix perc type - I've tried the smaller ones as well and they're quality.

But in terms of quality in regards to the higher end glass like sovereignty, toro, us tubes, hitman etc if someone has personal experience and can chime in that'd be good because I'd like know as well.

That said, my initial *excuse* for being here (the basic reason is :rofl:) is to find some glass for my Solo. I'm already talking with @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd about some GonGs for it, and want to solicit your knowledge on a couple of things.

Firstly, when folks talk about using a 18mm to 14mm GonG for connecting a Solo, how does the Solo actually connect? Does the standard Solo glass stem fit/telescope inside of the 14mm opening?

And B (:mental:), I'd like your advice on my bubbler selection for my Solo.:science:

My preferences are:
  1. Bent neck rather than straight bong.
  2. Easy observation of internal vapor action. :p
  3. Stable. I'm thinking a that a central dewar bowl connection, low bowl height and wide base aid this?
  4. Low air volume: I'm thinking that the relatively mild hits that I like to set my Solo for don't require a lot of diffusion/mixing/dilution?
So, after much happy reading, laughing, pondering, and drooling over the glass you've shared, my journey for my first vape bubbler has me leaning towards... (drumroll)...

the D020 ! Yes, the standard one recommended for beginners. :lmao: Oh well, it's the journey, right? :rolleyes:

The D020-W would be my first choice for the better viewing it's sidecar provides, if not for the restrictive mouthpiece reported on some examples, and seemingly slightly larger air volume?

Edit: Oh yeah, and I plan to get a Claisen Adapter, and one of those Pinnacle water tool knockoffs, to see how that works for me.

This way the seller can adjust the price of your order immediately as it is already showing up on his side.

Not sure why you want to order the 18mm female to female adapters, if I remember correctly all the pieces you are ordering already have a female joint.
Female to female adapters are used to convert a male joint into a female one.

Maybe an 18mm male to 14mm female reducer would be more useful if you have a 14mm male GonG.

Plug for Sunshine Store once again.Good ole Mike made good on D022,cracked joint to where repair was needed, mucho leakage.Sent him a picture of it and that day he had replacement packaged and shipped out!!! He sent a pic of the parcel w/my address on it.He apologized, I never went into a dispute I just sent him a message and he said he appreciated I didnt go there 1st.. The guy is a good business man and respects his bread and butter even if we arent a big accumulating account,he still goes the extra mile. Really cant say anything but good things about Mike and Sunshine site

FWIW Kathy has made the adjustment on this piece below. Hmmmm makes me wonder :hmm:who does her web page and dont they see if its squared away for biz? anyhow its now 22 bucks instead of 62 bucks:disgust:

Threw my 10 $$ discount coupon into my deal with this and the ratchet recyler bubb . Trifecta this week including that cool LiL bubb with the new type of perc @Dangus posted and its only WEDNESDAY:bang: D022 last week, now I really will have to slow the fug down and save up for recyclers ......:doh:doesnt it ever end?????. The only problem with this with me is I dont short change my dogs so I am the one who has to try to budget, but I smile at the same time I fret....the cost of this stuff is so fug'n reasonable (y'all know the skinny by looking at your LHS's to smile too:nod:) that as long as I have meds, doggie supplements, and glass, were golden, i can always manage low bud meals that are still healthy,so for a few weeks I'll have to squeeze all other facets of my simple lifestyle, damn those GAS pains!!!:peace:

Quite frankly I was blown away by this little rig. It's really solid and pairs amazingly with my Solo for some real beastly hits.

The problem now is going to be resisting pulling the trigger on every piece I see:\

That being said, there's a lot worse problems a bloke can have:D

ahhh thats it for you VC, soon the symptoms will kick in....the non stop surfing looking for rigs, hitting up FC forum looking on this thread. The fear that you want that particular rig but it begins to creep in price so you jump, you begin to mitigate certain priorities as not so important and you begin to save $$ just for GAS pains. You begin to look at more and more as the infection creeps in, and when you buy your 2nd rig, yur a dead duck and will be one of the many who are addicted to the GLASS and before you know it you have 20 import rigs that are prety slick for what yu paid, mind you the new rig you hold dear sells for 100$$ in some of the LHS'S, some arent so greedy but in the shops you wont see these #'s not even with a 20%mark up attached, more like 200% mark up.

I thought I remembered something like that, but my short-term memory is not what it could be. :leaf::nod:

I did as suggested: "Add them to your cart, proceed to checkout and stop when asked to pay. Then send them, in this case Mike, a message to ask for combined shipping." And got this reply:

sorry there have no discount for shipping,my shipping cost all charge by the weight of each item, so hope u can understand.

Point taken about the 18mm female to female adapters being useless to me at present. I'm just collecting some glass tinker toys for future madness. :science:

Yeah I forgot about that, but this worked for me when ordering outside of the US, and at that time he wasn't offering cheap shipping cost for the rest of the world.
Shipping for each item was around $28 and I had to pay $84.44 for my order of three items, which were gonna ship into the same package anyway. I ended up paying $45, still a bit much but I placed my order on Friday and got it the following Tuesday.

I guess now that he also offers reasonable shipping prices around the world, I guess he ended this policy.

@ataxian doesn't the lotus cost like 70 bucks? For the last year I've rarely smoked flowers but it's indefinite that I will again, and would be nice to have a vape cap for optimum smoothness. Can't say I wouldn't say the same though if there was maybe a mod or cheaper version of it that I could maybe attain. Any possibility to that or..?

The plugin NANO is cheap and taste really good. Pairs well with water. $200 more or less!

Yingmin has been out of stock on his piece for a LOOOOONG time unless you buy 12 of them. I have one of them and its a stellar piece. I have a 186 too.. the stereo matrix knockoff.. both great pieces. My first 186 arrived broken, he sent me a replacement and my glassblowing buddy fixed it. I gifted my second one to a friend. She is really enjoying it.

The ion clone from the 2nd link is the one I had (that I think you tried out before I sold it?)

I'd say the yingmin ion clone looks to be nicer piece (better perc, though the sunshine one looks better now, I still think the yingmin looks better, and its reinforced.) but it is more expensive, and doesn't appear to be available (either at all, or only available in multiples) at the moment.

The yingmin pieces just don't look as clean cut as the sunshine ones, and even kathy ones (the kathy ones can be cheap tho, thinner glass, but still nicely blown). Imo the joints on the yingmin glass is more bubbly, not as smoothly blown (tho the percs/discs look well blown, and thats what counts), and just doesn't appeal to me as much as sunshine.

Though I've never owned either D02* or the GB-187, I'd definitely say D020-D looks to have the advantage, quality-wise.

Sorry I thought you were comparing the d020 with the d020-d.

If you are comparing the d020-d and the gb-187, all I can say is the gb-187 is unobtainable. And has that perc-to-base weld.
