I/P: AC 100-240V 50-60Hz 0.28A

You forgot the jack polarity: negative for the exterior, positive inside.

@mrweed is it possible to see some more pics of the V5.0, particularly the glass mouthpiece. Just got an old FM for my gf and maybe i should've gone with this (unless they start selling the glass separate too which they probably will eventually). Any other differences aside from that and the logo?

I got it today and fully charged it and I AM IMPRESSED. I had a PAX (which is great but $$$ and messy pain to clean), I also had The Vaped Titan with herbal component (suck for herbs and their customer service support for the herbal chamber was condescending about my cloud complaint [lack] as if I didn't know Vapor clouds are thinner. great for concentrates), and I have an Extreme-Q for home. Out of all the portables for Herbs, this is THE best! A great on the road sub for my Extreme-Q. Hot air is the way...oven technology like PAX is too stinky and sticky IMHO! I get the same amount of clouds as PAX on medium setting which is where I preferred it! Anything higher is not true vaping.

I will recommend to all my friends. It's soooo affordable and tasty n effective!!!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!For all the informative reviews.
I wanna say, about the thickness of the cloud complaint. This is for those who are having this issue with not a knock off model. I hope this helps. Since this is air, you can lower your air draw and take long, steady pulls, you'll feel when to let go and you are with the angels. I learned that it is a combo of your potency and amount of air bringing up the draw. On a multi-speed fanned baloon vape you can notice it is thicker at lower speeds. I know some like it hotter and toastier, but this is real good vape to me and not toast burned like on highest setting on PAX sometimes. I think the temp is perfect, the less air the thicker the clouds will be.

Hey has anyone encountered a VV with some offgassing? I got this one on eBay and it seems to eminating something else, anything I can do?

Any way I can check it to see? Or possibly fix it? How do you open it without damaging it? Thanks!

My unit never smelled of anything funny and I never treated it to any special water bath. You want to get that looked at right away.

You should find out if you are covered by warranty.

I've been using my FM heavily for the past week and haven't had any issues until yesterday when my girlfriend used it. She loaded a bowl of herb and turned it on BUT she didn't screw the mouthpiece on all the way, she took a few rips and passed it to me and I started to smell something funky, I immediately turned it off and noticed that she didn't screw the mouthpiece on all the way. I took off the mouthpiece and noticed that the silicone part around the LED light was kind of melted. I let it cool down then I screwed the mouthpiece on all the way and it worked great with no funky smell.

I think when the mouthpiece is screwed in all the way it covers the LED and the silicone wall around it and sits right on top of the ceramic chamber. If the mouthpiece is left a little loose some of that silicone wall is exposed inside the heating chamber and can melt when turned on which brings me to my question.

Are you heating it up whit the mouthpiece off?

No sir, in fact it seems fine at first. But then after the bowls has been going a few minutes the taste turns siliconey/elecectronicy/whathaveyou even of the herb still has some green in it. After a few min running empty after the first chamber, the fumes stop. Also, I ran in for many sessions empty without the mouthpiece in before use to burn out the silicone smell from the unit caused by the mouthpiece (mouthpiece itself soaked in iso for 24hrs and saw no fumes and i did this for the first VV I had given as a gift too).

Maybe the taste/smell will still improve and what I'm seeing fuming is only residue in the chamber. Now she has it and is going to use it to see if it starts tasting bad again after coming back to a bowl she used for a few min (and told her to stir before stating a new session too). So maybe its ok, and this is still in smell/taste burn off mode? I do remember taste improving with the first VV after a few bowls, but dono if it was this bad. Hard to recall exactly what it tasted like the first time

Shit Snacks,
I like the stealth form factor and the mouthpiece storage is nice. But the heater seems underpowered. The vapor production is very light, and the fact that you HAVE to wait 10-15 seconds between draws to get that amount of vapor... well, 'nuff said!

The pax is built with ONE Samsung 2600 mAh battery where the Flowermate is actually built with two - therefore it has double the power. Pretty much the most efficient for portable vaporizers. I also have never waited 15-20 seconds between draws when using the flowermate. You can huff on that thing the whole session if you choose

I just had a Skype chat with a rep from Smiss, and the new 5S model will have 3 heat settings- 385°, 400° & 415°. They are deciding on vendors now. And I just ordered the 5. I'm ready to upgrade and I haven't even used it yet! :p

Great news about the upcoming 5S. I wish the manufacturer could join this forum (I thought that was in progress, what happened?) and keep us informed. The main question I have now about the new model is whether they have succeeded in sealing the battery/electronics completely from the air path; this could be part of the burning taste some people have experienced. If they could do this, it would be a much safer vaporizer.

We have had a couple of registrations that claimed to be Vapormax representatives. When someone registers, there is a prominent warning for commercial accounts that is difficult to miss. It asks that they contact @vtac before posting. Both of the Vapormax accounts went ahead and posted anyway. They were flagged as Unapproved Commercial Accounts, which simply removes their ability to post until they have contacted vtac. As far as I know, they haven't done this because there's no reason I'm aware of that they'd be refused.

My gf is away and my Firewood is momentarily out of order, so I borrowed her FlowerMate and have got the opportunity to spend some very intimate quality time with it... :brow:

I've been using it as my alternating daily driver back to back with my Ascent (as I need at least two fully charged portables per day, and most of the time I do a few quick charges during the day, if I can, to top them off, otherwise I end down out of juice and can be tempted to combust as a last resort)

I also had the opportunity to share it with several of my friends who tested it for the first time, and most had little experience with vaporizers, so their impressions were interesting.

Overall I like how easy this vape is: easy to load, easy to use, easy to clean, easy to carry. But all people agreed: the taste deteriorates starting from the first puff! In fact, and more precisely, the ABV taste becomes ever more present with each hit until you're left only with it (and that happens pretty fast)

At first people thought it was hitting way harder than the Ascent and produced bigger clouds, but that was because I presented them the Ascent in "low temp terpene paradise" mode (the one at which the Ascent excels clearly, pure low temp goodness taste!)

So I loaded the Ascent with the same quantity, and started directly at 200°C (392°F) and got the same lung-busting amount of vapor, yet it was cooler (due to the longest vapor path) and the taste was better (ABV taste was noticeable but not as overwhelming) I'm not sure if glass is the only reason for the taste difference though, hard to tell.

The FM might be running slightly hotter than that temperature, as the ABV ends darker overall. Your mileage might vary...

I'm concerned by the silicone above the bowl and the exposed LED. By the way, after one week of daily use I realized the light looked way less bright than before, I thought it was strange and hoped it didn't start melting, but thanksfully not, it's just gunked up with oil (made the light yellowish and dimmed)

That being said, there was an "incident" once: it was during a long outdoor session and we were having a passionate talk, so the device was left running for a long time (the auto shut off engaged twice, so it was the third session in a row with no interruption) at which point the taste became very awful, like disgustingly filthy old ABV concentrate, almost platicy...

I'll never know if it was just because we insisted too much on a dead bowl or if with time, something didn't start melting in there...

I'm concerned that if the 5S can do even higher temps we might be near the "limit"... The lower temp setting on the other hand will be more than welcome! Any ETA from Smiss for the 5S?

I live in the UK so was browsing ebay UK and found this:

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/331283010496?nav=WATCHING_ACTIVE&skus=Colour:Black&varId=540473057183

Do people think this looks legit? Are there fakes going around at the moment?
My main concerns are that it says it contains a glass mouthpiece yet the pictures have the original logo; the charger is for UK plugs; and there is apparently no cleaning equipment included eg brushes or whatever

Otherwise I'm unsure of the best place to order from (with no surprise import / customs charges)

Any advice will be much appreciated!

Hi m8s, I'm from Europe and I'm trying to buy a Vapormax V from this guy at Alibaba. Just one.

http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Newest-arrival-best-selling-e-cigarette_1854191025.html

It will be shipped with DHL, I have agreed everything with the seller, but he's demanding me to pay him and I think he has not agreed on the sales contract.

In the Alibaba "manage orders" section, they display a message saying "Pending sales contract". I don't know if I have to pay before in order to make him agree with the sales contract or what, because he's Chinese and I'm having trouble understanding him.

I have already received the Paypal invoice from him.

Any of you bought the vaporizer from Alibaba? Did you have any troubles?

I just got a price of $60 for a sample of the new Vapormax V with 3 temp settings and it seems like they can already deliver it.

Wow that looks rad, it solves the only problem the Vapormax had.

Can you buy only one unit of that one?

They mention samples and "Vapormax V with temperature settings: $60/set". Talking about samples and sets seems to indicate they expect a larger bulk order, but you never know!

Yeha, It's what I suppose, but I think I won't miss anything for trying, I just sent them an e-mail asking for details, because I'm definitelly not gonna order 10 considering how picky are customs here.

Because I think there's a big market for these devices, especially here in So-Eur. The Mediterranean is a "blue ocean" market.

Anyway, If I can't get a 5s (that's the model right) from them, I'll get just a plain 5 and when retail sales for the 5S start, i'll get one of those and sell mine to a friend or something.
