Suggest me a device please!

I have only used two devices to vape flowers with- a MFLB and a Pax. I bought the Pax and have used it for going on 2 years now. I don't find it to be be very economical because I enjoy the favor and it degrades pretty quick in the Pax. I also think I should probably have a plug in device- or at least something more reliable. I'm wondering if you experts can suggest a device because I am overwhelmed. Here are the criteria:

-I want something very economical- I use twice as much material in my Pax as when I used to combust. I think the biggest problem here is how much more enjoyable the flavor is with vaping, so this might be a challenge and not a problem to be blamed on any device.

-Something that plugs in, or possibly a torch powered vape- reliable I guess is where I am going with that.

-Hopefully not more than $200- I wish I could afford a Herbalizer, but not right now.

-Flavor is important- but probably not as important as economy.

Basically I need to expand my vape knowledge and not have so much tunnel vision with my Pax. I am sure there are much better vapes out there and if I get frustrated with my Pax I will probably go back to smoking and that is unacceptable! Thanks in advance!

My vote goes to the E-Nano if you want maximum efficiency in a pretty little package.

The only complaint is the heatup time on the nano - can take 10 minutes to reach optimal temperature from cold (though you could start hitting it faster if you set the dial to 10, but then you risk combusting if you let it sit for too long!)

If you're looking for speed - the Lotus is a God among portable vapes in this aspect. I can finish an entire session in under 2 minutes from a cold start.

In reality both vapes are very powerful and should make you very happy.

The Vapolution 2 can be had for $100 with the code in the first post of that thread. It is the purest taste I have come across and is as efficient as you want it to be. Check that out and some log vapes for efficiency. But for taste you won't find a better option than the VAP2.

Both the logs suggested and the Lotus will suit your needs, but I might give the Lotus the nod for you, just because it's so tactile and fun to work with, pretty much the opposite of the Pax. Plus if you get a water tool from dhgate, your experience will improve exponentially

I am going to my first log vape and I ordered a E Nano. The one thing that I want to mention about @Ratchetts comment about warm up time. Most plug it in and don't turn it off. Some a.m. to p.m. with no reports of it burning out. So really it is ready when needed. If you are moving it around then yes it will take some time to warm up. Do some research on all mentioned here and go with what fits your needs. My order with some extras was just over 200 bucks. You can get the price down if you don't go custom wood and all but what fun would that be.:rockon: Have fun figuring it out.

Is the Lotus efficient? As in, can I pack a small amount of material in there and get a few good hits? I'm kinda looking for the one hitter of vapes. I find that the Pax is anything but that even when I use the double screen trick. But the biggest problem is the taste. I'm highly interested in the Lotus, but I'm guessing it's more of a conduction style than convection? Maybe I am completely wrong but convection seems like it would be a better method for the best flavor?

I think I want a Lotus anyway at some point, but I guess I should have said in my first post that I like the idea of a convection vape since I've been conducting for the past few years.

The Lotus is on a par with log vaporizers when it comes to efficiency, and it's 100% convection. It's instant on, instant off and perfect for someone who wants a few big hits out of a tiny bowl. Flavor is very good.

The lotus is actually BETTER when you use less herb - so it can be super efficient in that regard (I love showing my friends the clouds I can get off a few flakes of herb they would have probably brushed away while rolling a J).

And the Lotus has almost no conduction heating due to it's use of Stainless steel (which doesn't conduct heat as well as some other materials). I would say the Lotus uses nearly a complete convection system.

Simply put, the air is pre-heated by passing under the hot-pate and then down through your bud - for it's small size, it packs quite a bunch.

I would suggest the Extreme-Q with the elbow pack method. You can put in like .2 and get vapor for over 5 minutes.

Alright, did a little e-shopping at lunch, do I want the short stem or long stem? Long stem is a bit cooler I assume? Or is it just looks/preference? Forgive me, I simply don't have time to go through the 160+ page thread! What are the thoughts on the J hook stem? I'm thinking about the dual stem kit, it comes with the water pipe adapter, J hook and a regular stem just don't know long or short?

I got the dual kit and love it. You have made a good choice! The only thing I would say is get the stem if you want to travel with it more. For around the house use I love my jhook option but wouldn't travel with it in my pocket.

also consider the WPA if you have a water tool. The Lotus is good dry, but even better through a bubbler. I got this one with the J Hook because I don't plan to take it outside at all. But if you do plan to take it out, say camping or what not, you can get the kit with the stem and WPA.

Love having the stem for portable use. Find myself using it quite often at home too. And the short stem is slightly more pocketable. While the long one is slightly cooler. But there's only an inch difference so doesn't make a huge difference either way

Alright, it's done!! Dual stem kit: J hook, natural cap color, long stem, standard single flame torch, WPA and zipper pouch. Looking forward to it! Thanks everyone for the assistance. I knew I wanted one of these, but I want one of everything, so I just needed you guys to help me figure it out.

I guess next I will be asking about a water pipe...

I have to agree with @New_World here, with a nice cheap glass bubbler you're almost there. A log vape like the e-nano would be a perfect compliment to your lotus, and round out your collection nicely!
Apologies in regards your growing vas and shrinking wallet :evil:

Hey I know it's not a plug in but I have been really loving the Flowermate Vapormax-V. It is similar to the Pax, but it is half the cost and double the battery (pax only has one 2600 mAh battery while the Flowermate has two).
It's super discrete because it basically looks like an 80G I-Pod or a cell phone and it doesn't have that awful battery flavor that some vapes have. Also the smell is pretty minimal too without loosing the flavor of the flowers.

I was once a Pax vaper but I am so happy I changed over to a cheaper and more efficient product.
