Well, the Kathy recycler has a 9 day processing time...a bit longer than her usual items....but hopefully should be getting sent out sooner than later.

This is my first post to FC, after two weeks of reading through (most of) this thread first, so's to be relatively informed and efficient in my posts. I think I've learned a lot, and have definitely gained much respect for the helpfulness, patience, humor and goodwill of the members and mods. I'll try to live up to your example.

That said, my initial *excuse* for being here (the basic reason is ) is to find some glass for my Solo. I'm already talking with @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd about some GonGs for it, and want to solicit your knowledge on a couple of things.

Firstly, when folks talk about using a 18mm to 14mm GonG for connecting a Solo, how does the Solo actually connect? Does the standard Solo glass stem fit/telescope inside of the 14mm opening?

And B (), I'd like your advice on my bubbler selection for my Solo.

My preferences are:

1. Bent neck rather than straight bong.
2. Easy observation of internal vapor action.
   
3. Stable. I'm thinking a that a central dewar bowl connection, low bowl height and wide base aid this?
4. Low air volume: I'm thinking that the relatively mild hits that I like to set my Solo for don't require a lot of diffusion/mixing/dilution?

So, after much happy reading, laughing, pondering, and drooling over the glass you've shared, my journey for my first vape bubbler has me leaning towards... (drumroll)...

the D020 ! Yes, the standard one recommended for beginners. Oh well, it's the journey, right?

The D020-W would be my first choice for the better viewing it's sidecar provides, if not for the restrictive mouthpiece reported on some examples, and seemingly slightly larger air volume?

Edit: Oh yeah, and I plan to get a Claisen Adapter, and one of those Pinnacle water tool knockoffs, to see how that works for me.

Yesss, the D020-W is quite tempting for me because I only smoke concentrates. I just wish I could see it next to the D020-D... It's like the D020-D, D020-W and D020-2-W. They all look nice, but I've yet to purchase a D02*; though am about to indefinitely buy the D022 and at least 1 D020-*.

The other recycler looked nice but the processing time of 20 days is way too long for me to wait.

I received my GB-225 from yingmin today. It was not in a box, just a shit load of bubble wrap and tape. It seemed very safe even though the lack of box.

It appears to be the same build construction as the D020-2S I purchased through sunshine store. Same dimensions and frit grain size, just shorter can due to the lack of turbine. Very well made. I think that I like this more than the version with turbine, but you have to remember to be kind of gentle on the clear if you don't want a drink.

In the link yingmin pictures both clear and blue model, there might also be a green available idk. I requested blue in the comment line and received blue so I assume that he read it.

grrr this isn't easy deciding (refer to my cart on the last page). I want my purchase to be a little cheaper... it's time to goto the smoke shop on Broadway that's selling these same pieces for in the 100's-200's and test them out; see which ones I want ;P.

@ataxian doesn't the lotus cost like 70 bucks? For the last year I've rarely smoked flowers but it's indefinite that I will again, and would be nice to have a vape cap for optimum smoothness. Can't say I wouldn't say the same though if there was maybe a mod or cheaper version of it that I could maybe attain. Any possibility to that or..?

Edit- Though if your new to the Lotus or prefer to see the circle your lighting, this piece is no beuno. My favorite was just a plain Jane Sherlock with a 1" tubing over the wpa, YUM!

Just placed another order through kathy - the honeycomb to matrix straight tube, and the ratchet-cycler.

Used my $10 off coupon, so it ended up costing me $(Aud)86 for the 2 of 'em
And I've already been offered $35 for the nail that comes with the matrix one
So basically $50 for those 2 pieces

I really want that 20" inline to tree piece she's got on there, but $95 is a bit steep for my liking.
I wish it was like $65-70... Oh well, I'll probably get it at some point

I purchased a piece a week or 2 ago from them, which sadly wasn't functional (design issue - the build quality was perfect) and they offered to give me free shipping on my next order - which I was happy enough with as a resolution.
So I've decided that's gonna be the one.

I guess a pillar would be harder to make (and conceptualise assuming we're still running with the theory that most of the blowers over there don't understand the intended function of the pieces)

I think that the perc on that CCG toilet seat perc is too high in the can. I think that piece would be better with the perc on the very bottom, maybe even welded to the bottom. Also might benefit from a larger recycle chamber. Almost ordered this one.

I respectively disagree, typically with recyclers you want the perc high in the can so that the vapor path is as short as possible. If you place the perc too low in the can and too close to the return tube, there is a risk of the vapor travelling up the return tube. See this example of a SG recycler:

It doesn't remind me of any specific designs off the top of my head. The can shape almost reminds me of Syn? But they typically use showercap percs. The donut perc (a proper circle) is used in EFS's work

I had a cheap one that tasted lousy.
The W9 TECH pens both OMNICRON and PERSEI even the OPHOS taste good dry!
You couldn't give me a cheap pen.

I just got home from my smoke shop run. During my hang out I decided to be nice and show the dude at the smokeshop some pipes at dhgate.com- which ended up having me intro him to the site, which he was blown away by lol. Especially with recyclers just like http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/new-small-bong-mini-water-pipe-pocket-glass/190893367.html for no lower than 100 lol (all sizes though). Also saw a few with the toilet seat percs (one of them failed and just stopped percing after 2 secs, the other worked very nicely), and two or three which were similar to the piece which a few FCers are waiting for someone to take the bullet on>

Wish I could say I tested one though lol. Hard not to get everything I like after realizing that buying two pieces at a smoke shop here would be the equivalent to the order I'm about to make on DHgate lol.

I see you're ordering from dhgate.. Is ordering from there reliable? Like, are the pieces good quality and not dangerous to use lol.

Depends how "reliable" you need them to be, but I'm happy with it.
