I'm only using one coil. It's saturated. My battery drained already they are recharging again. I'm gonna give it another run when the batteries recharge. I've got a lot of feedback to apply. I think I'm right there. I think I might even get it tonight. If I can get it going I'm ordering the core the herc drains batteries very fast.

I've put a lot of crumble in there and I am hitting it really hard. What could I do if there's too much oil on the coil? Just quit adding and heat it until it vapes?

How hard are you hitting it? If you're pulling on it like a kiss cart, that's too hard. I usually cigar puff to fill my mouth with vape, inhale the vape, & repeat the process till my lungs are full. Followed by a couple of 10-15 sec cool down rips to help with leaks.

Do you have extra batteries?
G recommends keeping and marking pairs of batteries used in conjunction.
They should both be at the same capacitity and always charged together.

Do you have a Nitecore charger? I bought new batteries after I bought the Nitecore battery charger. It seemed a little too inconsistent with the stock charger. I could put the same battery on the left and its red, but on the right its green.
G recommended the Nitecore along with many people on the forum and it is night and day better.
So, make sure you have fresh batteries (check them with a multi-meter), don't over load the Hercules, and don't draw too hard. With all of the bases covered, your Herc should work great.

Indeed!! @DaNi_DuB is saying the truth. The hercules sr unit requires draw technique to get clouds. Unlike a kiss cart. Draw slow. Trust us, the Sr74 unit loves slow steady pulls. NOT fast pulls like smoking a blunt or a pipe. When I hand over the HERC SR74/71 WEAPON to my friends they get wispy hits and hot oil inside mouth. Until I educate them on this marvelous unit. If u hear suction noise from the Hercules when pulling, then chances are you are pulling too hard. When you pull too hard you are cooling the hercules too fast, therefore no clouds.

I'm using a nice slow steady draw. The unit is getting hot but it still feels clogged/obstructed. The mouthpiece screen is clean now. If my coil was oversaturated would it be difficult to get a clean easy pull?

Yes... futuramas on comedycentral right now... sit down relax and puff away, i get my fattest hits on a lower saturated coil.

been loving my herc so much I decided to grab the 74x upgrade I understand the rod placement is different similar to the 71 Iv never used the 71 so im just wondering if anyone has a measurement or advice I believe the non upgraded 74 is like 2mm of white rod

No need to measure spacing. The entire white band should be showing with the 71 and 74x.

what is the KISS alpha c?
Alpha Centauri, a binary star system, our closest neighbor. I wonder and hope if this could be some sort of magical high end combo of titanium wire and the FC2000-like porus dark grey ceramic wick used on the KISS Globe. Maybe it's something entirely different...

I've noticed that the post in the bottom section of my SR-74 (not an upgraded SR-71 and no X) doesn't collapse quite enough when fully threaded to leave the entire white band of the rod visible -- when I tighten it up, it FORCES the rod up just a bit (if the top silver contact band started flush, it will be forced up so about 1/2 of the white area is above the collar).

As long as I keep the contacts clean it doesn't seem to have an adverse effect (and effectively raises the height of the rod in the upper chamber slightly..

Something to be concerned about?

My pulls keep getting better. I'm now pulling draws the same size as a good kiss cart draw consistently. The taste is great. I go through the batteries so fast I'm charging at least once a day. Now that I'm better dialed in I shouldn't burn through the battery as fast.
I'm still feeling like my draw is a bit obstructed. When I slightly unscrew the mouthpiece the draw feels clean. When I screw it tight and flush it feels a bit blocked

cool. I always thought two coils was a good idea, especially when made with medical grade materials...imo two coils a bit lower than the typical kiss carts, and it would be much easier to throw some co2 oil in there and have it just puddling and heating nicely while it heats up. I find the Kiss cart I got with the dabbler had too high of a wick, and the oil just rolled right off into the bottom, making it almost a have to load every hit sort of tech...load every hit? wtf...dont we live in the 'to go' age?

When is the alpha c go up for sale? Ill take two, and Id hate to miss out on these, hopefully they dont sell out

The kiss is LAYG, sounds like you bought the wrong cartridge.

I have never bought just a 'cartridge'

When I got an omicron couple years ago, it came with some carts.

When I bought a Dabbler last year, it came with two carts i bought from the dabbler site, one with a ceramic wick, one with a fiberglass wick. Those are what I was referring to as KISS carts, i realize now they are called the 'ceramic core' and the "glass wick heater' respectively.

Sorry for the confusion

530rasta I believe he was referring your comment about wanting an on the go vape by saying you got the wrong cart I believe he was saying you should have gotten the older style essential oil cart instead if the kiss cart I personally prefer the essential oil cart as you can load 1g and be set for a long time the kiss or l.a.y.g.(load as you go) only take enough for a few hits at a time I started out with an ophos and oil carts knowing layg wasn't my style and just recently bought a persei and herc
