I decided to check myself. Just curious to see if I would get a different answer.

Here is what I got...

"Yes we are working on this right now. Our glass vendor already supplied the samples per our request and they are currently tested by our engineers. As always , our approach to this accessory will be different from standard attachments out there. We need some more time for production."

Now that sounds interesting! I might just wait for that.

Oh and did anyone notice that they are marketing the cans as multi-purpose and travel ready? It really has become the best feature of this device. Well for me anyway.

I noticed that too, they should cut u a check lol. Anyway when they say "their engineers are testing" I can't help but think of dudes just getting ripped in a room lol but I'm also excited to see what they come up with there hasn't been a let down yet.

Haze seems to do quality work, I'm sure it'll turn out well. That being said, I'm very excited to see how Eds stem will turn out.

The only major hiccup I'm having these days is that it seems like the batteries that I have are very fragile. The bottom plates seem like they get jacked up real easily. One battery no longer works at all and a few seem like they could fall apart anytime.

Do u take the plastic off? If so don't. I took it off one and I had the same problem. The others are just fine.

Yup...I believe that's what did it. I had originally thought to leave it intact, but it looked like it was meant to be removed at first glance, and I was afraid the battery may get hot enough to melt the plastic or something.

From experience, I can tell you that is pretty much entirely what it means.

Maybe with a notepad somewhere

@NickDlow I almost lost my O ring this weekend. I went back to my glass stem and when I pulled it out the O ring came out too. However I was able to shove it back into place right away so no big deal.

I decided to email Jamie from Haze to ask about this and any other improvements they have made. She said that the early production runs on the glass were a bit tighter and they have already fixed that for the units going out now. She also offered to fix mine but I declined. My unit still performs great and I don't want to go without it!

They have also made some other adjustments with the button and switch based on user feedback.

She mentioned they have a lot of new stuff in the works but asked me not to comment at this point because timelines are loose right now. What I will say though is that some of these things have been discussed on this thread while others have not. I will share when I can!

Edit: I took the opportunity to ask them again to consider some additional temp settings. Personally I could get by without them but I know people want it and I would probably take advantage from time to time as well.

Nice to hear there are things in the works. I also didn't want to go without mine also, so Amy had the new unit sent first with 2 day shipping and a prepaid stamp for the return. I'd see about that option because it will keep happening. And u can't go wrong with an updated unit anyway. Now I do not store my mouthpiece in my unit to avoid the hassle of it being stuck inside and possibly breaking again. But good luck with urs Scott

I hardly use my glass mouthpiece as i find the stainless steel one tastes surprisingly good. I did not expect this before i got the unit. I thought that there would be some metallic taste to it and i thought i would stick with glass but the stainless mouthpiece works very well for me. Is this something you guys experience as well?

I really don't notice too much taste difference either (maybe a tiny edge to glass) but have been using stainless almost exclusively because of the durability factor.
I always store the mouthpiece inside the device (no wax use here boys ) so when it gets sticky and you need to pull it out, I don't want it breaking on me. That happened to Nick on his and also happened when I owned my Ascent.

That and because mine is a tiny bit too big is the reason I stick mostly with stainless.

I do like the option of using both!

I haven't been told specifics but I kno @scottg402 and myself were told we are on their short list. So we will be testing new accessories and upgrades regularly and will be providing reviews and feedback as soon as we can. I've heard a few things but I will let the company announce them. I can say I'm looking forward to see to them and this unit is going to be even better, which I thought was impossible but it's true. I suggest sticking around

I was told by Haze reps that I was also on the short list, but I have not actually heard anything from Haze about developments aside from the questions I've asked and suggestions I've made. So whether I'm actually on some list or getting lip service I dunno.

I do wonder if early adopters will be given opportunities to exchange their units toward the purchase of the upgraded units. I can't say it should be an expectation at all, but it would be appreciated.

will it offer more or higher temps?

Based on what I have been told, they are planning for additional temperature settings but not until down the line a bit. If you are holding out for that and itching for a new device I would probably look elsewhere for now because that's one that is not right around the corner.

For now the updated device does address some of the concerns discussed here. For example they have fixed the O ring issue (which actually doesn't impact the functionality according to Haze). They have made some improvements on the door and switch. In other words, I think all the improvements plannned for the device are mostly cosmetic. To that point, they did say they are planning on releasing some additional colors, they just aren't firm on when.

@virtualpurple they asked me if I wanted to exchange my device but for now I am good with the original run.

The bigger news from Haze revolves around accessories they are planning. There are some cool ones on the way and yes, I was told I would be a guinea pig for feedback. I would be happy to do so! I hope you guys can try some too!

As I stated earlier I have a bit more info there too but Jamie from Haze asked me to keep this in confidence based on the uncertainty of their lead times. Let me just say that if they come to fruition there are some cool things planned.

I wish they could join and address this all themselves. Jamie stated she thought their marketing department had applied to join FC at least once (maybe even twice) but it wasn't confirmed, nor denied. They just never heard back.

I think I read that @vtac handles the approvals, so do you mind checking into this? I really like having the manufacturer's on some of the other threads and it would be great to have Haze here too!

On a personal note I just have to say that I continue to fall in love with this device more and more! I took this and my Pax on vacation with me to the pinky area of northern Michigan (God's country for those that don't know).

My buddy also has a Pax and we enjoyed those plenty when we had to get the job done quick. However when it was chill time it was great being able to just hot swap cans and get totally blitzed without having to touch any herb at all! I think we crushed like 10 cans last night in one sitting! :lmao:

He also commented on the difference in taste you get with the Haze over the Pax.
It was the first time I have used this device with anyone so good to share the positve experience with a trusted friend. I wish I could quit my job and move up here now!

It would be cool if they could figure out how to make the cans leak free while using concentrates and holding the unit upright... Just sayin lol sometimes I tip it n get a lil messy but no big deal

Hi Guys, Thanks for all the info. I just joined the forum. I ordered a Pax and then I heard about the Haze and saw this thread.

Should I return it and get a Haze instead?

Two things bother me about the Haze. One is the door/lid which seems like it's just waiting to break and the other is the fact that concentrates will leak out if it's upright (in your pocket)

Thanks in advance for your help ladies and gentlemen.

I own Haze and Pax. I love them both but i use Haze way more than my Pax now since Scott at this forum invented the prepack the cans concept. I also recently got into wax and oils which Haze does the job pretty effectively. When i use it wax or oil, i do not experience any leaks but several people mentioned that so not sure if its because i never fill it up all the way or if its the way i hold the unit. I clean it once every 4-5 days i believe although it is very quick and easy. If you use liquids, it should not be a problem since there is a cotton wick in the can but if you use wax/oil and fill it up all the way, i am not sure how that works. The instructions advise not to fill it up all the way. Overall, if you can financially keep them both, they are both keepers. If not, i wiuld recommend Haze. About the lid, it is pretty solid/sturdy. I dont think that you can break it easily.

Three of us on here have both and enjoy both. You really can't go wrong with either.

That said you really need to consider the situation for your primary use. If you are out and want something really small and discrete then it's hard to beat the Pax.

However you still get a pretty small form factor with the Haze plus you get the ability to handle e liquid, wax/oil which you really can't get with the Pax. Then consider you get the prepack cans option, removable batteries, dual bowls, cooler vapor, easier cleaning and better taste (IMO) with the Haze. The Pax can offer none of this.

If you are worried about the door, I wouldn't. My original run unit his holding up just fine and I am pretty sure they have fixed that for the second run and beyond.

For what it's worth my buddy tried my Haze for the first time this weekend. He liked it for all the advantages mentioned above but would still pick the Pax if he could only have one.

I on the other hand would probably choose the Haze if I could only have one but again am very happy I have both.

This just highlights what everyone on FC already knows. There is no perfect vape out there for everyone and it comes down to personal preference.

I hope you enjoy whichever you end up with and if you have the means I would not hesitate to keep both!

When I experience leaks it's not filled all the way at all. When I put in my shatter it is a thin layer that covers the bottom surface of the can. When it heats up the viscosity is more like a liquid and leaks out the hole on the lid when held upright. If it it horizontal there are no leaks what so ever.

I also own the pax and haze and IMO the combo of the two are unmatched!! If u can afford it I'd get both. My pax I use at work and my haze basically everywhere else I don't need to be so discreet. The pax is very stealthy to load and use and is exceptional taste and high for the simplicity of the device. Now the haze is like the Swiss Army knife of vapes it's so versatile. U can use the 2 different types of screens conduction or convection. Now the forum favorite that Scott came up with is the prepack bud in the cans for convection. If you also use concentrates the haze is incredible a dab that would be gone in one hit could last over 30min which I've experienced. U can also mix the bud and concentrates for a nice session too.

I recently started putting a screen on top of my bud in the can and place the silicone lid on the screen. Idk if it does anything to the vapor but I mainly did it for storage when it's in my case I experienced some flower falling out. Problem solved.

Can one of u guys try this and see if it makes any difference. I just cut the sides off the convection screen and use the bottom on the bud. Let me kno if u guys try it and what u think
