The Dr Dabber Pen

I just gained access to concentrates and I am looking at getting this as my first pen vape. I just had a couple questions first. Is it okay to leave the wax in the atomizer for extended periods of time (take a few hits, 3 days later take a few more)? And how may hits can you usually expect out of a filled (phrasing?) atomizer? These may be dumb questions, I am new to the world of concentrates!

Absolutely. I have done that on more than one occasion.

I wouldn't completely fill the atomizer. It drowns the coil, and you don't get good vapor. How many hits you get is subjective, and depends on how much concentrate you load into the atomizer.

I'll let the good Doctor confirm the 'manufacturer recommended voltage', but speaking for myself... I haven't had an issue running them at 4.0 as long as I keep it loaded.

Most times I run at 3.7v flat to keep it smooth, but even a standard 3.2v standard ego type has still been satisfying enough "for me" if it's all I've got charged up at the time.

Cool, thank you. I was thinking about testing it out at 4.2 but I dont want to kill an atomizer. Although from what I've found the multi pack of atomizers from Dr Dabber seems like the best value. Unless you can suggest a great or better alternative for an everyday heavy usage atomizer.

I think that as long as you keep the coil wet/loaded that you wouldn't have a problem with a short hit or two to test. You'll know right away by the heat and taste whether it's too high and should back down.

Of course, I wouldn't go nuts and hit it crazy like with higher voltages routinely without waiting for or contacting Dr. Dabber for confirmation. I only voice my own experience and use, but I'm also anal about keeping the beast fed and pulse hitting the button on inhale once warmed.

I've fired my ghost atomizer from 3.0v all the way up to 5.0v on my MVP. I have yet to kill a coil yet, but at the end of the day I prefer the ghost battery for a good mix of taste and clouds. YMMV

How can you tell when your cart is not hitting anymore? When you are not producing visible vapor from hits anymore?

I usually start around 3.7-4.0 and go as high as 4.5 but for shorter 4-6 sec hits when I'm trying to clear out the oil still left.

Also, I want to give the Doc a special thank you! I ordered an atomizer and needed a new mouthpiece the good Doc hooked it up. I've bought atty's from several different brands but the Doc's last for several weeks of use and produce fat clouds

Just ordered a Dr Dabber kit from puffitup.com (had a shipment confirmation with tracking # in 9 minutes, great customer service as always). Can't wait to try this guy out on the go. I got spoiled last month on my trip to Denver with the pens and disposable oil carts and I just came across 7 g's of wax so... Also picked up a sticky wax pen as a backup / for the lady since it was so cheap. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

I'm having issues w/ charging my fairly new Dr. Dabber pen (had it for a couple months, have only run through one battery when I first had extracts to use with it.) I can't seem to get mine to take a charge w/ the USB charger.

I can plug it in for hours, the light just stays green, then when I hook up the battery to the rest of the pen, only the first Click of the vape pen works, then when I try to click it again for another rip, the blue light continues to blink like I never had charged it. I left it charging again overnight and still is dead this morning.

I'm not sure what I did, but had only charged the thing once when I first got it, this is only my second time trying to recharge it, but I dont think its taking the charge.

I'm pretty bummed as I had just bought a 5 pack of atomizers for a vacation up in Washington and only got through one loaded atomizer before this thing just died on me.

Bummer. Can I go get a bottom battery piece local? 710 is the size I'd need right?

The same thing happened to my battery. Contact @Dr.Dabber and let them know.

@Dr.Dabber

Doc, just wondering if you plan on releasing a wick-less (either flat pancake style coil or a coil wrapped around a ceramic wick) atomizer with a grade 2 titanium coil? I'd gladly pay a premium for that.

Health should be the Dr's number 1 priority. A safe and healthier product should be your target audience, especially with a name like Dr Dabber.

If your product is ugly, has a weak battery, is expensive, and so on... who cares? As long as it puts health and safety above all else, it will definitely stand out in this over-saturated, re-branded e-cig vape pen market

I received my Dr Dabber on Friday and used it all through the weekend and I totally love it. The pen itself is very high quality and refined. Vapor quality and flavor is good and abundant. Its definitely my new go to tool.

Any tips or tricks for hitting it? Does it matter which way the wick is facing (vertical or horizontal or random?) or what orientation you hold the pen when you hit? I just want to prolong the life of the coil as much as possible.

I hit it similar to smoking a cigarette, but try not to overfill it too much. It will still work but in order to maximize the life of the atty, I usually use a dab slightly bigger then a grain of rice

So I have never tried wax before but have recently gained access to a supply. Would the dr. Dabber be a good intro tool to wax? I don't have the desire to own a rig currently I like convenience.

It really is very sleek, and stealthy.
How much do you pack usually and how many hits does that give you? I see it recommends a rice sized glob. And that hits vary between hit size. But I never see people saying a rough estimate.

I guess that's because the answer is subjective. Some people can take bigger hits, and they wouldn't get as many hits. I don't use more than the size of a grain of rice, and I can't take big hits, so I get a lot more.

How long does a gram or 2 typically last you with the dr dabber? I just kind of want an idea of what I can expect from it. I know there are a ton of factors going into the effectiveness though.

Again, that's really subjective. Some people have a high tolerance, and use a lot more. Some people use for medical purposes, and some people only use the Dr. Dabber pen while they are out, including me. How will you be using the Dr. Dabber?
