@sve - sorry to hear about your loss, was yours the original V1 with the hard-wired power cable? Or did it have the replaceable cord from the v2 generation?

V1, i believe. I haven't been around in a bit and didn't realize the new version had a detachable cord. Does this help with the propensity to tip over? Too many times was her grasp just a bit off and then it would fall.

Sve, i don't think the detachable cord will make any difference but the newer cords have the dial further away from the enano. With old cords, many find that when they lift the enano the dial gets lifted as well and so can get annoying. It MAY help. What do you mean when you say 'top-heavy'. Is this to do with the glass stem? If so, it might be worth considering a wooden stem (I'm assuming these are lighter).

Andy's (finally) changed the postage price system. It's only $14.90 postage now to deliver accessories abroad.

How easy is it for the herbs to fall into the heating element? Is it a strict 90 degrees, or could you do something more comfortable like a milkshake-drinking angle? Would having the herbs already ground be a problem?

The nano is very hot dry if your looking for those full satisfying hits. I've had my nano for 2-1/2 weeks now, waiting for my replacement gong because I can't use it dry.. If I do on low temps, I won't get all the effects.. It's very difficult to get your perfect match if ur unsure of what to do. So far I've only got 1 technique figured out and that's how to get blasted-7.25 dry as close to heater without touching.. But it is very hot and irritating. That's the go to setup for the nano for me. I think the stem would be better for flavour hits and the gong for the real deal hits.

Herb does fall onto the stainless heater.. Annoying if ur focusing on it, it can actually combust and pop if u don't watch out. What I do is use te end of a cigarette it pack it down so it doesn't fall out..

. It's never been an issue for me. And I've had mine a cupla months. Horizontal, vertical, perpendicular to my face. Ground, unground. Never happens to me. Sayin that..... If my stem is on the heater then I'm normally suckin already.

. I find 5 to 6 and a bit more than ample for flowers. 7 would be too hot and irritating. If yer gonna vape at what would be insane temps is that not defeating the purpose of vaping? Being the idea is that the heat of combustion is a huge part of what damages you. Sorry man gibbering a bit.and sorry bout dodgy posting. Hate this phone. Moderator please please tidy this up? Haha

I mostly use the enano dry. Preheat at 10 for 2 minutes, turn down to eight for a minute and start my draw. For me the enano has never been too hot — If I feel it was ever too hot simply turn it down a ¼ to ½. I usually go dry because it is so tasty and easy. Two loads and I am done and turn it off.

The enano is also ultra clean. I have not had to clean anything to since I got it a couple months ago. I do not have the problem of herb falling out of my dry stem or anything like that. For me everything about the enano is neat and tidy. One more very important note — this nano has NEVER had combustion and is the only vape to bear this distinction that I have. To have combustion in a nano takes a deliberate effort.

Considering all things the enano is the best vape I have ever used and I have used a grip of them. The enano is so perfected I would recommend it to anyone seeking the peak experience of vaporization for a steal of a price. Yeah, another great thing about the enano is price.

The enano is the VAS cure for sure.
i use it dry at 7+- at it drys my throat out. any lower and it doesnt vape fully.. how far are u keeping ur material from the heater?

You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
The Arizer Solo might be the closest portable to the Enano. I can get on board with that statement, but being on the same level, no way Jose! Enano easily wins this IMHO. I love the Solo on 3 for the first few rips, but I can get that from the Nano. I love big rips and every Solo I've tried lacks in the big hitter department. Heck the only portables I've tried that are heavy hitters, have been flame vapes. The Enano can deliver these heavy hits as well, though not as good as my LSV. Plus the automatic shutoff hasn't been brought up, what a PITA that would be if I had to constantly charge and reboot my Nano. Kudos Andy, job well done!!!

Hmm, Ill check into that.

Well, its just awkward. When it sits on the table, the dial seems too far away and wants to hang off the edge. When we hold it, it definitely lifts off the table and when you set it back down, it can fall over. It might just be too light for the weight of the cord. I might just have to go with something bigger with a whip so it all doesn't have to be lifted to the mouth.

Either way I am pretty bummed, the thing was amazing.

My nano arrived at my doorstep in Australia in about 8 days. No issues at all.

I don't see why customs would seize it - it's essentially a wooden heater.

Vaporizers are sold in Australia anyway, just for "legal herbs" or as an aromatherapy device.

I hope it's just my impatience getting the better of me.
Though I'm still kinda sketched out about the whole ordeal because tracking still hasn't been updated since the 1st of August & I've already received other parcels from the USA that were dispatched on the 5th.

Enano is too hot for my throat at higher temps. I concluded it is because I'm a beginner vapist and a little bitch because you all clearly love your nanos. I have adjusted to about 7 without irritation but any higher than that and I have burnt the roof of my mouth with the short hot vapors. Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it cheaply without buying a bong. I was thinking of finding a straw to extend the vapor path. I think I I want to get a j hook where do you buy those can I get at a LHS and I would also need to buy the gong attachment ?

If you want to cruise at those high temps, your best bet is to get some water in your path. Don't need much, just a bit to cool and moisturize. IMO the moisture your vapor will pick up is as beneficial as the cooling from water. And, you don't need too much.

There is a HUGE, fast moving thread for cheap glass Cheap, high-quality bubbler?? . It can be a bit daunting!
Most of the glass discussed is direct from China and very cheap, but it usually takes a couple weeks to get to you. How cheap? You can pick up something decent for about $30-35. Two I own that I like:

&
http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/d020-w-bubbler-glass-water-percolator-smoking/187455071.html

Many others out there, but be careful. This site has different vendors. The one I link to has a good rep here on FC and has been fine with my orders. Think they also sell j-hooks.

If you don't want to deal with the Chinese issues, there are resellers based in US who sell most of this stuff at a markup (usually about 2x price). No need to charge your card through China, and quicker to get to you. Don't have any bookmarked, but if there is interest I'll find one.

Another option might be to have a longer stem made. A fellow FCer is doing custom stems and GonGs for the nano JoDa Glassworks custom e-nano stems and other accessories

One other thing that may help. Try using cotton in your stem. Some do this to catch reclaim. I've had mixed results with it, but it does seem to cool the vapor a bit. And, you catch some vape resin to hit on later. Another thread, that discusses the technique in depth: Vaping with Cotton

Well I must have one heck of a Solo then, and I am using the Nano as well as I can be. I'm not saying one is better than another (I worship both!) but if the Solo isn't in the same league as the Nano, the Nano isn't in the same league as the Solo. You say you couldn't compare the two, and perhaps it's my perception, but it appears that is exactly what you are doing.

I just feel like you are tainting the image of the Solo slightly, and it's meaningless to discuss, because they are BOTH top shelf vapes. IMO the Solo can be VERY easily used as a desktop and i've done just that for almost a year before, and it satisfied my thirst for higher temp thick dense cloudy vapour just as much as my Nano does now. Both have pros and cons, and fortunately for us, both are very affordable.

I also want to say that I have just successfully boiled a mixture of tap water and essential grapefruit oil on Temp 8 in the Arizer Solo aromatherapy bowl! lol I was using cotton before but thought i'd try a bit of water. I wasn't getting any aromas on temp 7 so I cranked it to 8 and before you know I could hear a little bubbling! it was definitely boiling! Smelled awesome, but had to dial it a bit down obviously.

I love my Nano.

I'm happy for you @biohacker , but can't say I agree. Don't think the solo can come close in taste or efficiency - but I kind of expected that. What kills me is how the heat doesn't keep up. Could you clue me in on how to use it heavily and not have the heat (and lights) drop in use? Nothing irks me more than temp drops on the second or third hit. Feel like if I've already vaped the stem at setting 4, those drops to setting 3 are giving me nothing but warm air. And, I'm not much for lung busting hits for the past few decades. Can't imagine how bad it would be for someone with 20 year old lungs who hasn't smoked for 30+ years.

My 2014 solo doesn't drop temp often, maybe a level max when it isn't fully heat soaked. Me and my girl share sessions with the solo since day one without problems. Not trying to derail. The e nano is definitely more powerful / more air flow and can keep up with hard pulls

I dunno. Maybe I'm just nano-spoiled or maybe my solo isn't up to snuff, but I'm just not seeing it come too close. Again, without an A/C plug nearby? It's great. Should have some named strains soon and out of town hiking a few times over the next couple weeks - so maybe my opinion will change. But for now I find it merely sufficient - leaving me longing for nano hits every time I use it.

btw.... mine is 2014. Had it about 3 weeks.

Over the last year I've had 3 nano's and 4 solos in my possession. Nano > solo for everything but cordless autonomy.

Just saying.
cordless autonomy and simplicity of use ;). i love the fact that the nano finishes loads in 1 or 2 hits, but i also dislike that fact at times when im looking for longer sessions. ive read on the ascent thread those guys are getting 30-45 minute sessions per bowl.. thats crazy

LOL once you introduce water (I was talking dry path vaping earlier) there is LIGHTYEARS of distance between performance of the two units. Nano is a water beast.
I absolutely love mine dry. The water definitely lets you hit it harder, but you can't beat the dry stem for flavor, imo. I usually hit it with a water piece with friends, and hit the dry stem when I'm lazy/taking it somewhere else.

Heh, yes the Ascent is a slow sipper kinda vape - my wife hated how long I'd sit there and sip away on the Ascent.. I'd actually pack a full load and toke away over the course of a whole episode of breaking bad (became quite a ritual ha ha ha)

Alas, it was too slow to medicate - so it rarely gets used these days. Now I much prefer the Nano, and keep my Ascent for road trips!
