RSO/Phoenix Tears

My personal journey with cannabis continues. I have decided to try RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) aka Phoenix Tears for my Psoriatic Arthritis to see what happens. I know people are using this for cancer and skin ailments, among other things, but I wanted to see what effect it might have for me. I'm hoping to "nudge" my incurable auto-immune disease into another mode or "modulate" it if you will. It seems that when this happens it puts things "in motion" and that can lead to a change in health. The biologics I take do this when the medicine enters and leaves my body. Also looking for some strong pain relief.

My first 2 doses were about 1/2 the size of a grain of rice and weigh about .02 gram. I just smear the oil in an empty 00 gelatin capsule and consume. Amazingly enough, I can feel the effects. I do not want to overdo this and be stuck for 6-8 hours over medicated, that would be "no bueno". I notice a slight sleepy effect after about an hour and some really good pain relief as well. The oil seems to be ok on my tummy. I'm going to follow the protocol and try to titrate up on the oil, only time will tell, but I will never know unless I try.

If anyone out there has RSO experience please chime in . . . :)

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
I use RSO occasionally for back pain and as a sleep aid; though never jumped into a regimen, as I thankfully don't have a need for it.

Usually I use infused coconut oil capsules, but my provider also makes RSO for some other patients, so I keep a few RSO capsules on hand...typically some .25 gram capsules, and a couple .5 capsules just in case. If the coconut oil isn't cutting it, I'll take one capsule in the evening and it really helps my back relax, as well as ensuring a total night's sleep. Good stuff to be sure. Hopefully you find the results you're looking for.

I would love some relief! I stopped using the steroid creams because my skin is just breaking open and bleeding if i just bump it!. My family freaked out when they saw my arms and of course i bumped it and started bleeding in front of them . I stopped using them a month ago when it started:bang:. I'm seeing a team of specialists when i get home.

We occasionally use an edible made with RSO... it does give a real body-heavy effect. I'm now thinking that I was over-dosing it, and should try just half the amount, and see if I get the arthritis relief without the couch-lock.

I've been having a real rough week with it. Really hope it helps you, t-dub,

I'm up to .25 gram, sometimes 2x/day, and the baseline pain relief is really nice. I thought this would screw up my tolerance but its not really. I'm even vaping a little on top and so far all is well. I used to eat these hash cookies my provider made and they were not so forgiving. I have no idea why.

Have yet to try it myself, but saw this video for making a small batch somewhere (can't remember where), and always meant to give it a shot ...

Excellent information, much better than watching the terrifying process of a bucket and then a rice cooker out doors with a fan. I have been looking for a simpler and safer process, this tutorial is Most helpful for an individual to make thier own and in a quantity that is affordable. Thank you for sharing this!

Any one know where to actually find this (the real thing ) in the LA area? I have not seen it anywhere for a while and the one time I did I don't think it was the real stuff .

Well I found out how strong this stuff is last night. I was getting ready to go to a ZZ Top concert and accidentally squeezed out .50 gram of oil and thought to myself "its ok, just eat it". I was uncomfortably high for the first act of the show but then Jeff Beck came out and everything was fine as the effect started to mellow. No pain though! Don't overdo the oil . . . Tonight, Bruno Mars!!!

I was diagnosed with bladder cancer last month. Had 9 tumors removed the following week and am now halfway through BCG treatments. It's the reason I wanted to start vaping, why take in carcinogens when you're prone to cancers? I know vaping has no effect on the cancer it's self, but it sure helps the dark mood, hehehe. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has used RSO for bladder cancer. If so, how well has it worked for you? My state won't give me every option of survival yet, but any info and personal stories would be great to hear. Thank you in advance.

Doesn't the protocol have increasing doses with a plateau of 1g/day for 60?/90? days? I tried to estimate the amount of THC in 1g of RSO and vape that as oil or flower. After a week I was ready to tap out. RSO is serious business!

Posting to sub to this thread. T-dub, you mentioned an autoimmune condition. Are you also eliminating grains from your diet due to their negative effect on the small intestine? Intestinal permeability caused by grains has been shown to lead to autoimmune problems, especially wheat and other grains high in prolamines.

Rice has the lowest grain prolamine content at 5%, so I'm still eating organic rice because going totally grain free sounds pretty bad to me.

I hope the oil helps your condition. Maybe consider eliminating wheat/corn/etc because that might be "the thing" that tips the balance in your favor. Here's a good overview on gluten, SI issues, autoimmune, etc:

Thanks MF. Yes I subscribe to a primal diet. I usually go paleolithic but sometimes I need dairy which bumps me to primal . . .

Good deal. I like carbs too much to go full paleo, so I hope that rice is non-allergenic enough to the SI that I can keep it in my diet.

What strain(s) are you using for your oil? I'm interested in high CBD cannabis oil, and after watching that video above for making a small batch with an ounce, I think I will try it out soon.

You know, I got this oil for free from a "budding" dispensary (peeps that want a real one with a license from the state) get it . . . "budding" . . . annnnndd I neglected to ask them what strain(s) it was or if they had even had it lab tested. I hesitate to mention their methodology here because I think folks would needlessly freak out over their solvent choice.

Edit: They do use a crock pot with a rheostat for precise temperature control instead of a rice cooker. They use very low temps and finish on a coffee warmer for a complete purge.
