Fill the water to in the UP logo then put it on . When you put it on either the water stays the same or gets pushed up with a clogged herc.

When you take it off you need to have the Herc not clogged. If it's clogged when you pull the Nibbler off there will be a seal that makes a vacuum and draws the water out of the Nibbler into the Herc regardless of your water level.

To solve this, After your last hit do a bunch of cool down draws. A full minute. Make sure you can still draw freely. Put your thumb on top of the mouthpiece to make a seal, twist clockwise and pull up. You can watch the water inside to make sure it doesn't get sucked into the mouthpiece.

cooling down the oil in the Herc is crucial. Too many hits in a short period of time, without proper cooldown pulls, and everything in the Herc is liquid. Picture it slowly oozing down into the bottom chamber.
With the NXL on the Herc, you will naturally take bigger pulls. The herc will get hotter.

if you tilt it to the point that the water line meets the hole under the 'made in USA' decal, it doesn't pull water at all.

Does anyone know if the ticket system on w9tech.com still the same? I have been trying to open a ticket for a hammer head that has been misfiring on me :(. It's acting up more as the days pass. Hammer head acts dead then comes back to life and misfires a lot. With and without a cartridge. Sucks. Good thing for w9 warranty and customer service.

Kidneypuncher is a great site. I got 30 guage nichrome and the thinner of the two types of ceramic wick. You will have to cut/break it down to the size of the cup. I put about 6 wraps for 1.8 ohms. I'll use that between 3.7v and 4.6v depending what's inside. They have little positive contact rubber insulator things if the stock one got burnt or somethin. If you have an iris or another way to check the resistance I'd say its worth getting different kinds to play with. But if that doesn't seem like your type of playing I'm sure there's a few guys who know the specifics of what to get and what to do with it. I know its also buried in this thread somewhere. I think @DieHard was involved?

lil tip ----

that parchment paper or whatever soaked with oil …. crumple up and stick lil piece in top hurc chamber above coil not touching anything below --- -- heat takes off the oil natually and vapes it up -- using every last drop !!!!!!!

no more sticky fingers ! :)

For a HOT 7.4v KISS I use 32awg NiChrome 80, 5 wraps around a 7/64" FC2000 ceramic wick. Higher number gauge = smaller wire. 36awg for 3.7v.

Im still pretty new to the persei and herc setup but i love it. I just bought a ss kit and a 3.4 KISS. Every so often ill go to take a hit and the button will flash, i readjust the KISS or the herc whatever is on it at the time and it works fine. I dont know if its just me and im not tightening it enough when i first put it on or what. I didnt want to over tighten it when i put it on. Am i just being a pansy and not screwing down the herc or the KISS enough?

FYI for abyone with an iris. The Ti kiss carts are 1 ohm. This is too low for the iris, had to go back to the original top. :(

Before my iris fried my ti kiss cart with a blast of 7.4 instead of the 4.1 it was set too it worked great. That one was a few months old though so something could have changed

My buddy have me his old one after an iso wash. It reads 1 ohm but when I try to hit it, I get a low ohm signal.

Well that's no good. I never saw the lo ohm warning until I started wrapping the kiss myself. I wonder what was different. Maybe our iris reads different. My fluke dmm reads 2.2 ohms on my self wrapped kiss, but the iris says 3.3 when screwed all the way down and 1.8 when unscrewed back slightly from all the way down
