Anyone seen the new update from VXL? Seems like we've still got some wait.

Support VapeXhale replied:
Hello International Vaporists!

Our engineering team has been working to make sure our newest algorithm can easily handle the full range of voltages and frequencies. We are adding additional hardware to our PCB to handle this larger variance which our 110 model does not have to deal with, and are currently testing its stability.

As always, we very much apologize for the delay and appreciate the patience you have afforded our team as we work out the last kinks. Thank you for your time.

Yes got the email. Would say at least 6 weeks but that's just a guess based on time for new pcb's and testing going well. I'm hoping it will be here for Xmas

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, that means I'm guessing based on previous experience, and say that VXL ran out of memory on the board. They have had memory problemss before which cause these odd "glitches". I could be wrong but I really think its a memory problem.

Just curios how many people have kept there orders? I'm seriously considering cancelling my order as it's taken far too long to rectify the issue and I'm really loosing hope unfortunately. Being one of the early contributors to the campaign I really feel that I've been patient but it seems that Vapexhale have been hit hard with some serious issues with there international unit which is a real shame.

I am still keeping my order. And hope as many as possible other too, so they don't cancel all of this and give the few left a refund.
I have fucking supported them on the kickstarter and I will wait for the fruit no matter how long it takes.
I don't want the 250$ refund, if i took it I would buy the retail version when it comes out and that would cost me at least 500$.

I have also transferred my warranty to the EVO. The old Cloud is dead. If a renfund happens and no warranty comes back for the old Cloud, then I'm just fucked.
That would mean 800$(-250$ refund) spent overall for a dead Cloud and a glitchy EVO that will fail eventually.
No, thanks, the wait is better for me now.
The refund would only be considerable if I hadn't got a Trade-In perk.

It sound like I'm waiting for another failute. I am just wishing the luck will show up for the third time. I got a Cloud form a manufacturer sabotaged batch (that also almost made VXL bankrupt and boosted the in-house EVO release), then I got the unfinished glitchy EVO, which is understandable, that happens all the time with new complex products.
Both vapes were/are the awesomest when they're not dead/glitching from my experience and that's why I want the correctly working EVO and am willing to wait for it even if it fails for the third time. The wait is also easier with a 99% working EVO in here.
The is no other vape that vapes exactly like the Cloud.

I'm still waiting too- having held on for so many months now what's a few more...

Whilst I have been very frustrated with the delays, now that Vapexhale are better at keeping us in the loop I am a lot more contented and prepared to be patient.

At the end of the day I know that the Evo is an amazing device (having had one for almost a week before it went into meltdown) and there is no other vape that I want really. If I got a refund I'd only buy the Evo anyway when it comes to the UK...

Not to mention I have two shiny hydratubes sitting unused on the shelf!

International Vaporists!

Short update but good news! Our engineers were able to build and test a stable unit and we are sending this to our UK and Australian distributor for final testing. If this final testing goes well, we will finally be able to feel confident in sending out your units. Thank you very much for your patience and happy, happy Friday!

Hi Guys, just wanted to share an update from Vapefiend. He received his unit yesterday, he has an update on his Facebook page also.
He has very kindly agreed for me to test it out on Monday night so if you guys have any specific questions or anything you want testing out please let me know. It looks like he is very impressed though.

I still have slight concerns on the density (I am a high temp, milker!) and am looking forward to seeing what it does first hand as have experience of the old Cloud.

At the moment it really does look like this is the final stretch and have allowed myself to become excited once again.

Well done Vapexhale for fixing and lets hope we can all put the debacle of the "launch" behind us and support them wholeheartedly moving forward!!

I've jumped ship now too and taken the refund. I hope you guys are all happy when you receive yours, I hope it's not long now. I'll probably buy again when I've read the first reviews and the dust has settled, but I just couldn't take any more!

Thanks for the good news polvoman! Hopefully it won't be long now. I seem to recall Vapexhale stating that if testing went ok they would be sending out our units to Vapefiend for distribution, could you ask him if this is still the case? Might save on some customs duties if they do.

Is VXL's ticketing system borked ATM? If the fixed models are so close now, I figured I'd better get around to logging my ticket so I don't miss the first shipment, but after filling it out and clicking the "SEND EMAIL" button at the bottom, absolutely nothing happens. I've tried Firefox and IE. Both browsers show an error just above the "Your Name:" box that says "Liquid error: wrong argument type nil (expected Regexp)", so it does appear somebody has misconfigured something, somewhere...

I shouldn't even have to do this, really, since they have records of who all the international customers are, including all their contact details, so they could easily keep us all in the loop and not just a select list of those that have actually lodged a ticket, but I haven't had a single email from VXL since the one I got confirming my payment of the $50 international shipping charge, so my trust level is pretty low these days. I don't see why they aren't keeping all of us international customers informed via these email notifications being shared here, especially given the potential for those still unaware of the issues to burn their houses down as they sleep. Why only update those that have actually logged a ticket, when all the international units feature the same faulty logic?

I didn't realize the emails were only going out to those who had submitted a ticket...

I submitted a ticket ages ago for something tangentially related to my IGG evo order, that must be why I'm getting the emails.

Yes, all of my e-mails has got "Re: <my ticket subject>" as its subjects.
All of them are originally a reply to my ticket.
I think they should send tese update to all INTL IGG contributors, not only those who submitted a ticket.

Aha! I finally discover why some people are getting update emails and some aren't...

I never logged a ticket for my faulty Evo for the same reason as most- there was a problem with every single international Evo (and each will have to be replaced) and therefore I assumed that Vapexhale would contact us as a group (fairly easy to do seeing as they have the indiegogo details of all contributors).

Pretty silly of Vapexhale really and not brilliant customer service. They have received more than a few cross emails from me demanding an update and never once suggested logging a ticket to get the automatic updates they were sending out. I don't understand why they didn't just collate the international customer's email addresses, especially as this is what they were using during the indiegogo campaign... I even suggested this in more than one email I sent and it probably would have saved them a few refunds from fed up folk.

Oh well, I seem to be receiving personal emails from Vapexhale now with updates (due to all my demands for contact) which I am happy with although it seems like a lot of unnecessary work for them to mail some of us individually. I am hoping that the international distributor testing will be successful and we will have our Evos sooner rather than later!:-)

Does that mean ticketing is working again? I had to save my attempt to lodge a ticket a few days ago in a text file, as the "SEND EMAIL" button wouldn't actually do anything when clicked, in either browser I tried.

Hi Guys

As promised I have an update for you. I was very lucky to try the Evo last night.

Simply put it works fantastically, the flavour is insane, most flavoursome vape I have ever tried (I am an LSV, Solo and Old Cloud owner for reference). At 12 I wasn't overly impressed in terms of output (f but cranked it to max and good sized clouds were being produced. Was getting about 3 meaty rips per 1/3 elb.

I am a high temp vaper and want to see milky, dense clouds filling my water pieces and although was so impressed with the flavour (and output, plumes were coming out!) I didn't see much evidence if whitewalling but this could be for a few reasons (lighting etc).

I would probably prefer a hotter unit but think I would be in the minority of users as most would be very happy imo. Vapefiend made a very good point that it takes away any chances of combustion which is clearly important.

Where I was incredibly impressed was the nail attachment, have very little experience in dabbing but was blown away with how easy it was to use.

There was no sigh of overheating or anything major etc but the unit was a bit glitchy, nothing that couldn't be fixed with a turn off and on but sometimes the unit went red and green colour at the same time, anyone know what that means??

For the record this was very minor and hadn't happened previously for the previous week VF had had the unit and to be honest was probably down to our 'state' from enjoying it so much than anything sinister with the unit. He has been using daily and has had no issues (and is very aware of the historical issues associated with the Int Evo).

Hope this helps, all I can say is that I was very Impressed and with some very minor changes (there should be no glitches on a £300-500 vape imo)

Hand downs im buying one and hopefully after another week or two VF can sigh it off. I for one though may ask for a hotter unit as would rather have the option of higher temps if needed for maximum milkyness.

Any question let me know and hope the above is useful.

Cheers

PM

That is one of the original glitches. I am having my EVO on msot of the day, so I'm getting this one everyday at least once. The heater always shut off on this glitch, but one can never be sure. I actually think msot of these glitches are the same problem - a firmware freeze probably due to memory overflow. The same way as your computer freezes - leaving you with the last frame on the disply and replaying the last milisecond of sound over and over.
In the EVO case, the heater just stops updating as well as LEDs. This is dangerous during heat up when the heater is mostly on - if the unit glitches the LED will remain red and if the heater was on at the moment of the glitch begin it will keep heating forever.
Most of my overheats happened on heat-up.
But when the unit is heat soaked, the heater is mostly off and the LED is green. So when my unit glitches the LED will remain green or both colors at the same time a the heater stops reheating. Of course this hypothesis mean that there is a rare chance of overheating while heat soaked - when it glitches out exactly at the brief and infrequent moment when the heater reheats. And there is evidence of these unitss overheating rarely when they were stable green.

So we probably need to wait a bit more. Untill there are no more of these glitches whatsoever.
