Sometimes there must must be a viable relationship:

Yes, indeed. In fact, Aldo is running one with them now. So, not all cases are non-viable. (Stated this previous)

Just the ones I am directly aware of have been done w/o permission.

@Ratchett I find the adapter a bit large toward the bowl if large enough you could place a splashguard for HTs.

Glad to see more herbie outhere!

EDIT/ Herbie+whip is a ferrari with 300W in the foot, so that the harder you hit, the harder it milks! You have to light those 3 candles on da board.

Sadly I had to make the base so big to meet the minimum requirements for wall thickness on ceramic 3D printing. While I can design other models to work in many materials, ceramic parts need to be specifically designed for ceramic

However that said, what do you mean splashguard? Can you show me a picture of one? I could possibly implement into my second ceramic prototype.

I decided to do some real testing last night. I vaped two bowls from Herbie at 445 until there was nothing but trace vapor being exhaled. I then took that abv and filled an elb and hit it in the Evo on high. I was able to get four average hits before it stopped producing.

The Evo hits weren't very enjoyable, but they were there. They tasted crummy from the beginning and I thought I was getting close to combustion from the second hit. After checking the load the lower half was very dark.

I have long considered Herbie to have the same or more convection going on than any of my other vapes. The bowl just doesn't get warm without the second hand heat from the air passing through it. The Evo has a slight amount of conduction going on with the basket, and possibly some radiation heat happening, which is what I attribute the extra hits and darkening to.

Bottom line is I am comfortable throwing out my abv after I have expelled everything Herbie can get at 445, no matter how light the color of the abv is. Whatever little bit might be left in it is hard to get and tastes like shit anyhow.

If you are looking for a cure to a mild case of VAS, then I think you are in luck. :) This device is so robust and powerful, it will replace a small army of devices.

If you VAS is a very acute case, then this might buy you the time to recover.

But if your VAS is a *cough* chronic case, I don't think there is any cure for that other than "ALL OF THEM!"

No current discounts. And the device is so new (and in high demand) that I wouldn't expect to see any more on it for a while.

Again: Mass Drop doesn't always get permission and will quite just often grey market the products. The manufacture does not have to honor any warrantee sold though unauthorized resellers. Goes to show how great the Herbalizer customer service is that they said they would still take care of this batch of people. But, BUYER BEWARE.

(Oh, and note how vague any warrantee documentation is at MD. They claim it is a "full" warrantee, but as other purchasers of other vapes have found out only well afterwards, it is a "MassDrop Warrantee", not the manufacturer's. Which means when something goes wrong -- if MD still backs the device -- it has to source another grey market unit. It's all a bit shady.)

I apologize, I didnt mean to misrepresent things. It seems my knowledge is on the shallow end.

Thanks Sticks, this is huge for me....the two things that kinda hold me back are price and the fact that the abv isn't super dark. I now realize that abv colour means nothing in terms of extraction, and in fact I personally feel that the tradeoffs of darker abv arent worth it. This is another reason why I long for Herbie, I feel that it is a healthier device. Using it has even changed my vaping habits, as i've very much dialed down the temps on all of my vapes, and as a result I now have a preference for abv that is light to med brown, much like the colour of tobacco....I don't go for the dark coffee ground abv, as it just tastes gross anyway.

What is the recommended temp to store the devise itself. I keep my vapes in a garage/shop, and sometimes in the heat of the day it possibly gets up to 90+ degrees in there. Do you think this devise would be ok at that temp, or should it be kept in a air conditioned room?

Operating Temperature: 50 to 104°F (10 to 40° C)

Storage Temperature: 32 to 125°F (0 to 52°C)

Humidity Range: 30 to 85% RH

You don't want to leave Herbie in a hot car, or use Herbie in a very moist environment.

I found the definition of operating temperature interesting.

An operating temperature is the temperature at which an electrical or mechanical device operates. The device will operate effectively within a specified temperature range which varies based on the device function and application context, and ranges from the minimum operating temperature to the maximum operating temperature (or peak operating temperature). Outside this range of safe operating temperatures the device may fail. Aerospace and military-grade devices generally operate over a broader temperature range than industrial devices; commercial-grade devices generally have the narrowest operating temperature range.

It is one component of reliability engineering.

@Ratchett, for some reason I thought you would be making a different bowl top with a built-in pong rather than an adapter that sits on top of it, did you consider that? Looking good regardless

The only thing I would add to this comparison is that this "last bit" doesn't taste bad at all if you load the evo with green herb, because you will be getting that last bit along with the first "terpinny" bits so a more complete extraction without the poor taste. For me herbie is more of a daytime vape, when I want to get knocked out it's the evo/infinity. I feel the same about herbs in the sublimator compared to sublimate.

anyone having any problems with the fan? Has it lost its touch over time?

Well in some use, herbie could be sensible to airflow breaking performance, could you describe your issue?

IIRC there is 3 fans for 3 functions (please correct me if wrong):
-blowing bag
-cooling the inside of device
-cooling the bulb to regulate temperature

I noticed a lack of performance in F#1 while executing F#1 and F#2 at the same time. A hot device running F#2 is clearly noticeable.

I have few question about the filtering of the intrant air and the maintenance associated. The parralel with the volcano is obvious. Do we know something about it?

@stickstones When done at 445 open the bowl and empty the contents.
Grind/crush the material to a fine powder and reload the bowl.
Replace at 445 and find those last few remnants!
And still no popcorn taste!!

I will leave in bowl and use the other end of the brush in a Mortar & Pestle way. (But grind against bowl edges, not downward on screen.) if it is well vaped, the ABV will just crumble under slightest pressure. Presto! More bags!

You guys don't use the aroma things when vaping herb, do you.
Someone said fill the chamber half way, then out the aroma pads on top?
I just got my unit would appreciate filling tips etc.
I wasn't totally blown away.
Thinking maybe a new solo would have covered it lol

Hey all!

Just wanted to post an update about the Herbie 18mm Adapter! The design is finished and I've ordered the first ceramic model - hopefully the prototype is a perfect fit (but who knows!) - I will have the ceramic prototype sometime in early September!

I like the looks of itr! At least it seems like it will stay on better than the black pieces. Aside from it being a handy adapter, what are the other upsides of your adapter would you say?

Do you guys use the whip? I find the herbalizer to be awful with the whip ... I feel like I can't get a big lung full

Vinnie01,
This is a very minor issue, but has anyone else had the foam feet under the unit start to come loose? The adhesive has begun to degrade at the corner of one of mine.

The area where the foam is located is one of the hottest parts of the unit when in use, so I guess it makes sense that the adhesive is being affected? I wonder what material is being used.

Again, this isn't much of an issue at all, just something I happened to notice one day. It says a lot about the Herbalizer's quality that I have to go searching under rocks (or pearls) in order to find something to complain about. :p

On an unrelated note, I signed up for the referral program. Well, I haven't received a response yet, but I submitted my info. Unfortunately, I don't personally know many people who would be willing to drop $679 on a vaporizer. Kudos to the Herbalizer team for the initiative though!

The whip is my favorite method. You can get huge hits with it, especially by using the fan assist. Try running it through glass if you have an adapter handy.

Also, make sure you're getting a proper seal with the bowl. I had that problem when I first received my unit.

I am back to the whip again!
No bad taste or anything from the material.
I used a larger diameter silicone tube for a while but am back to the regular whip.

I only use the fan assist when using my WT's these days.
Regular whip with massive clouds on a daily basis!

More practice!! LOL!!
