actually there is.
Any chance of combustion with the mercury kit?
Just don't go to the point where u get it redhot :)

Its in the manual sort off you should torch until you see it burning white hot, I never saw that but k :p its before the point where it start glowing red hot completely.
Use it then and u will combust your load.

EDITED

or wait.. was there a manual? cant remember it should be here somewhere but it was in the description that planetvape gave me on how to use the UFO.

Anyone have any ideas for keeping the sub screen in place? I find it really annoying that after every hit, the screen falls out with the weed and I have to put it back in and align it every hit I take. I was using screens that didn't come with the sub, an they seemed to be sticking after awhile but no luck with the actual heavier sub screens. I think there should be a way to hold the screen in place, I don't see the point of it falling out every time, it makes the atomizer get dirty quicker because bits of weed are always falling down and my hands smell like avb. Thanks for any insight, I take 5-10 sub hits per session so you can see how frustrating aligning a screen every time would be.

After a while the resin or sublimate will hold the screen in..... When mine was new this happened, but soon the oil will just hold it in place.... Mine hold in very well I like to clean int about once a week and it sometimes hard to get out.

Hello, new member here.

I'm looking for a new device for bubble hash vaporization and I've heard great things about the Sublimator. Wanted to see if anyone has used the Sublimator for vaping hash and what their experience was like.

I've crumbled up bubble hash and put it on top of some flowers in the Sub..... it was ok .... Nothing to write home about... so to speak But maybe my bubble hash was just ok also.... I never found out if I could just use bubble hash by it self... I tried but the sub didn't seem to extract from the hash in 1 good pull like with flowers.... Maybe I need more or better bubble hash to find the exact temp where it will work better and vaporize by it self...... not sure.. Send me 2-3 gram of the finest bubble hash you like to use and I will try it again..

I heard good things about the e-nano from epic vape. Might get that since it's a little cheaper.

Bubble in the Sublimator works very well. Just throw a few crumbs of bubble or dry sift at around 35 watts. It will give you maybe 2 or 3 milky hits. You may be able to finish it in one hit even. Pretty much the Sub can Vape whatever you throw at it. The downside to using bubble is it gets the atomizer very dirty fast and clogs the screens quickly. Bubble also will produce a lot of sublimate oil.

Looks like you can still get a 1.0 timer box w/launch tube for $475.00

Edit. Pretty sure bubbleman uses a Sublimator and a custom dnail for bubble these days. That should tell you something about using it with bubble.

Just got my Sub back today. PV also added some munchies (cheetos puff souffles) and the new apollo. This time, it has a black box with brown dial and brown cording. Which is weird because mine was fully black and I preferred it that way. Oh well can't complain. It also heats up faster and I had it at 27.5 watts for flowers. Threw in some Animal Cookies and damn I was relieved of pain instantly. Now I shall try at 24 watts for flowers and see if I get more runs on taste. I realize taste lasts much longer going lower on the wattage. I used to go 30-32-34 even 36 sometimes for herbs before. Let's see what 24 watts will do for me.

Yeah, I am gonna keep my dial at 24 for herbs. Gonna get some wax and see what range I should use for shatter. Planning on getting some Gold coast or perhaps solventless. I'm cheerfully subbin' it like them good ol' days again. Wooohoo thank you @PlanetVape

Does anybody know a good tape that would keep the curved top from being hot to touch? I don't like how it's possible to get accidently burned.

Not sure how hot that thing gets, but its hot. The tube is what burnt the tip of my nose before flying to California for a wedding. Def got some looks like I was a crack head lol

In the Herbalizer thread someone posted about kapton tape. This may work.

They came up with a heat shield, that inexplicably only protected around the perimeter of the head and not the top. I pointed out that the top was where we had all been burning ourselves, and it was removed from the marketplace for further development. I haven't heard anything about the heat shield since then.

So I just shoved a lotus "fine" screen into my atomizer, it's the best fit of any screen I've tried. Just press in the middle a bit and it concaves perfectly and springs up against the ridge and sticks! If any other sub owner has a new lotus screen laying around, please give it a try for confirmation when you get a chance.

If you use the screens that came with it, and shove it in with your pinky, it will click into place below the inside ridges. I took a volcano screen and cut them in the same shape as the sub screens and that worked too. I got the wispr screens so the screen would fall out since normal screens get dirty fast and require me to poke them back out to clean.

If you're talking about the screens that come with the sub, I would recommend pushing it in a little further until it clicks under the ridges. If that's the effect your going after. I believe in the sub instructions, it also says to do this (Enrico video)

Mine took a bit of tinkering until I got all edges in the groove at the bottom of the bowl.

I just dissolved a couple grams of sublimate into a couple ounces of 190 proof grain alcohol. Holy shit this is almost too tasty. Almost makes me want to plug her back in...

I have been eyeing the sub for a while but the kits seem pretty expensive for what they are.... Any reason not to just buy the heater and atomizer then wire up my own controller. Considering the sub controller is over $260 by itself that should save a good chunk of change...

Yes Smartest Idea yet..... The Og Sub controller is crap! Don't know if the new one is crapping out yet or not. You put a plug on the end of the Sub heater and plug it into a 30$ watt meter, now you have an exact digital readout of the wattage.... It's perfect!

It's been done, a watt-meter is a good addition but what is required is a 110v dimmer.

Edit: I remembered where I had an image, here's the two components with a 1/2-6 hour timer in between. I've found that I don't mind a safety timer so much when it has more sensible length of time options.

Yes it's been done a few times.. Mine has a twelve foot cord so I can pass it to friends but I rarely move it around like that.. The longer cord is nice just for moving it around my area here on my desk. Also I didn't bother with the timer.. My control just crapped out one day and this dimmer switch is way better. You don't even really need the watt meter but it is much nicer with it. You can find the exact wattage for the perfect vaporization you want..

Attacks on character violate our Be Nice rules. Warning point issued.
Am I alone in feeling that the sublimator should have a major price adjustment? Price Drop?

The newest version of Extreme Q selling on planetvape.ca is priced at $189.99. This includes everything, all accessories, you need to utilize full multifunction vaporization.

As opposed to the Sublimator launch controller priced at $264.97 (you couldn't just round up PV?) plus the additional sublimator launch controller power supply priced at $73.97 :\ Totaling a whopping $338.94 just for the power supply!:suspicious::tinfoil::uhh::mental::disgust::bang:! - In this economy.

The stainless apollo heating device with nothing else is priced at $194.95 on pv. The Adapt-A-Sub Apollo Kit is priced at $539.95! This price excluded the apparatus to actually use the before mentioned product! Requiring your own apparatus to "adapt" your own. What ever way you look at it requires additional $.

So unlike the EQ & Volcano Classic priced on pv at $529.95, which can be used out of the box requiring no additional $. We are asked to spend $779.95 on the apollo "kit" OR $914.95 for the stainless steel "kit" version :uhoh: to have this out of the box utilization.

What am i missing here? Must we seriously spend a grand to purchase a vaporizer that gets the job done?
