Who's out there?

With cannabis becoming more main stream, I’m a bit curious who, what type of people, are using today. I read most of these post and realize that many of these people write well and have an education. FC is not filled with your stereotypical stoner. I’m sure there are some high school kids, but I’m also sure there are some professionals and retirees. My question is: Who’s out there?

Uneducated, stoned old man who's frantically running around in his pee and cum stained underwear looking under the cushions of his 40 year old couch for the possibility of finding some old roaches there that he can either put in his spoon and smoke 'em or stick them into his DIY roach clip fashioned from an old paper clip that was holding his divorce papers together that he never signed from 30 years ago.

215z-I’m a typical stoner now, but I attempt to keep a low profile. I live by the adage, “the nail that sticks up gets hammered down.” I try not to look to obvious. I need to set an example for my kids and the public. People may tend not to take me seriously if I look too stonerish (I just made that word up).

Enchantre-You must be the hippest Grandma. My wife’s an accountant, now I know two accountants that aren’t boring.

Vicki-Bionic woman?? I had a crush on the bionic woman when I was a kid. I have a few aftermarket parts keeping me together, but I think mine falls short of costing $6,000,000.

Peter-Do you own any of those black cabs in London? Do you have one of those garages like the one in the series "Taxi" with Danny Devito? I have 3 girls: I always dreamed about being surrounded by woman when I was younger. I didn’t have this in mind.

Lwien-You either have a great imagination and are a fantastic comedy writer, or you’re telling the truth and are a great story teller. If it’s the latter…Take a shower and change your underwear.

The running total so far, including 3 surgeries, doctor's, occupational therapy, etc. (and I'm not done yet), is around $250,000.00. Not quite that much yet. :)

I had 3B cancer surgery about a year ago; the total hospital stay, the surgery and chemo cost almost that. I see you use a herbalizer; is it worth the cost? I have a solo; is it that much better than a solo? In other words should I start saving?

Are you cancer free now? I hope so. :)

The Herbalizer is expensive. I've only had mine about a month, but really love it. I also have a Solo, and love it too. If you can afford it, absolutely get an Herbalizer! If you can't, that's ok too.

I'm a 57 year old mother and grandmother. I work as an educator and social services dealing with children.
I dabble a bit with a musical hobby.

To be honest I've used cannabis over the years. I have degenerative arthritis in my spine, hands and feet. Several times I've needed steroid epidural shots to the low back. Also 4 surgeries on my feet to clean between the joints that's built up with extra calcium. The doc sands everything down.

Due to the years of anti inflammatory use it has damaged my kidneys. When I use something like ibuprofen my kidney level goes down. There are not any anti inflammatories out there that I can take. There was a doctor that was willing to give me opiates but not a mmj certification. I find that cannabis helps with muscle spasms, pain and inflammation.

I've had acupuncture and regularly go to a chiropractor and get massages.

In May I went to a naturopath, someone I didn't know to get a medical certification. Over the years I've been getting my cannabis from a trusted friend. Paying quite a bit. Now I have access to cannabis at a dispensary with folks that can assist me as to the right one for what's going on with me at a reasonable price.

If I hadn't had the support on this forum I don't know if I would have had the courage to get my mmj cert.
There's a lot of folks on FC with knowledge to share and it's been very helpful.

I too have been a bit flabbergasted by the awesome combination of characters here, many of the people who post make me almost feel bad for wanting relief for my much simpler problems.
I'm just a 21 year-old, confused, deep thinker, with back pains and a hunger deficiency; who can't find the motivation or desire to do anything with his life, while trying to figure out what to do with his life.

Wow…I thought most people were hiding in a dorm room with a mflb trying to avoid an overzealous RA. It’s not that “misery loves company” it’s just nice to see others finding peace in a plant that can give so much relief. I see these movies were a character treks into the Amazon rain forest to find a plant that will prolong life. Personally, I don’t want to prolong my life, I just want to make the life I have a little more bearable. It would seem unethical, maybe even cruel, to deny an individual, in pain, much needed relief.

You are an acquired taste Iwien :) That really cracked me up. Thanks.

I can vouch that Enchantre is one hip grandma! The only FC member I have met and had a great time with her and her husband.

I probably surprised her walking in, as I am 24 with the good luck of looking 14:uhoh: I have been married for 2 1/2 years to a woman from Seoul, South Korea who is set to graduate this year from the University of Washington. I actually just gave my 2 week notice yesterday:D To start a new career as a machinist. I currently am an inside salesmen making decent money, but it's not worth sitting at a desk and being miserable:tup: my other hobby is building and racing sand rails, I have ridden quads and dirt bikes from age 6, but due to my wrist I can't ride like I used to. So I got myself a cage to race around in:D I am hoping to translate my new machining job into a rail building career somehow.... Hey we all need to dream

As far as the herb goes I have been smoking since 16, then broke my wrist in 7 places at age 17, 2 surgeries and 5 pins later I was diagnosed with arthritis at the ripe ole age of 19. Got my medical card and have been growing my own medicine since. It's the one thing I take pride in knowing a good deal about, and take great pride in the medicine I produce. This community has really helped me in so many more ways then just vaporizing, it's the only online "thing" I really take part of and I love it here.

And as soon as I crop out this month and finally have my grows back up and running, I will always have some free meds for members in need in Washington (I do not want money, My medicine IS NOT FOR SALE, only for people who are in need). As a way to show my appreciation for this place, it's fully legal of course. I've always given Free medicine and plants to patients in need, I grow for others now, not for money. Hit me up! I'd love to meet some other members, I couldn't agree more that this place is full of great people from all different walks of life

Graduated with my B.S. in info systems about 3 months ago - now I'm 6 weeks into a real dream job of mine. Chill IT support work, helping out people and making a difference in safeguarding the country. It's a high-tech corporation with a lot of million-dollar contracts so there's always something interesting going on.

...and vaping daily for 5 yrs!

I do love FC for its wise, kooky, & awesome characters

In my mid-thirties...part of that last generation that has experienced the amazing paradigm shift in the way we live, because of this crazy interweb. Currently, work at the airport in a job that mostly relies on tips.

Spent most of my youth traveling abroad due to my fathers work. I did eventually find out that this would classify me as a third culture kid.

Did the whole education thing, reluctantly, up until the Masters... not only to appease the family but more to reassure myself that Academia was not where I would be able to find that natural ease... what I'm trying to say is that I wasn't smart enough, or at least smart enough to be able to find school easy with my goldfish attention span, and these other social phobias/ticks I had since I was a kid and only seem to be getting worse.

So I found myself both
- shunning the life choices my family and their culture were hoping i'd take (good professional office job, wife, kids, big house, etc)
- and not really having much success in creating or even finding another viable life path...Chasing your dream is one thing...Knowing what the fuck your dream is to begin with, is another.

I've smoked mj whenever I could, starting since I was around 21... probably translates to 5 years of daily use. I enjoy the high:spliff:... but once I got passed that initial sensory overload/warpedness I found that it actually just makes me feel overall better:peace:. So recreational or medicinal, I think with mj it's sorta the same thing.

I made the decision if I can't find that dream I want to pursue, than I might as well enjoy my time:rockon:, because, you know, it might take a while, or never happen at all. Part of this mid-life crises craziness includes interacting, for a change, with the people on these forums that I'm usually following up with obsessively. For the last several months Fuckcombustion, has probably been the main one for me.

I pledged for a fraternity, and my first semester grades were 1.4. I was put on academic probation, and subsequently I had to quite the fraternity thus taking the six year plan to graduate. Now that I think back, I don’t use anything I learned from college, but the skills I learned in the frat has and will last me a life time: Beer bonging 101, cleaning graffix bong water from a sofa, bobbing for goldfish, and finally one of my most important classes-learning to stop the bed from spinning (You may think putting a foot on the floor would work, but I had a problem finding my leg.)

Just for the record: My stories are purely fiction, thus are for entertainment purposes only. My attorney insisted I add this hold harmless clause for the young people. Don’t do what my fictional character did; he’s dumb.
