I'm a lurker, so I saw the pictures. They were what made me to start considering this bubbler. The Perfect Bubbler for Me would be a Left Handed GB-187 Sidecar.

How's the perc? Is it just vertical slits, or are there bands to break up the bubbles/create more of them?

I'm right with you for perfect bubbler! Hopefully something like that coming soon - or just the GB-187 for that matter!

I really like the perc on the D020-W. However, I should qualify that. I don't like a lot of diffusion for vapor. IMO diffusion cuts flavor, and flavor is one of the things I really like about vaping. So for me this diffusion is nearly prefect. It is just straight slits - no "bands" like on a matrix perc (or knock-off). It's the same perc as the D020-D IIRC.

That said, I can get it to stack bubbles more than I like if I try. Needless to say, even easier with the new increased airflow.

The way I use it (and my D020) is to draw slow and smooth until I fill the can and get a bit of vapor. Then I pull the GonG and let her rip. This preserves the flavor for me (most of the vapor/flavor through the slits by then). Sidecar is doubly cool because it allows you to monitor your draw and how much diffusion you're creating.

This particular piece usually lives at my girlfriend's (but the other is going back in its place!). Don't always have a vape handy there, hence the combustion. Even with the tighter holed mouhtpiece, I was able to get pretty good diffusion by hitting it harder while combusting - toning the harsh flavor back. Am sure you could do the same with a vape if you wanted to.

Not sure if you have any or much glass, but I always like to point this out to folks who are new to it. Those funky percs, vortexing and all the bubbles stacking up to the base of an MP look really cool and can be fun. But, IME they will suck the flavor out of your vapor as quick as anything. Not necessarily a bad thing if you're heating nails or flat out combusting, but IMO not what you want for vaping. This also makes it easier to choose your pieces in this thread! I seldom give anything with 2 percs or more anything other than a "oh, that looks pretty".

We're in the same boat regarding flavor. I'm currently exploring a few strains after quitting combustion back in February ("ohh, that's why they called it Mango.. I always thought it was because of the color.").

The techniques you list are basically on par with what I have been working on myself. I think my main problem is that I am used to inhaling fast, and I'm really trying to correct this. I've set up a mirror at my vape station (e-nano) and it is helping.

Thanks for the clarification on the perc. That's been nagging me for a few days.

I have the Matrix/Birdcage perch in a GB187 and it works great for quick inhales. Very smooth in fact, like a purr. The D020 fast seems to stutter, but works awesome when drawing slow. So yes, I am still learning.

The D020Q, on the other hand, that fucker is a crazy cyclone "beer bong" bubbler. For quick massive hits, this is my go to piece.

@ataxian - No worries! I read a lot of what you post and respect your opinion.. that why I was like "huh, he likes that one the best?" and I looked into it. I'm thinking if I have to bump my order up to reach $50 I may just own a D022 down the road as well.

I'm a Flavor Chaser!

The D022 I like with a low temperature vaporizer.
The NANO I have a big volume piece that I love and it's a USA piece.
Since I use the SOLO the most I pair it with the smaller Chinese bubblers.
The D series bubbler's are a great deal and work with the lower temperature vaporizers.
Combustion is a lot different as @blankrider mentioned earlier.

Once I install electricity next to my outdoor medication area I most likely will use a log vaporizer.

I was most likely medicated with some incredible flowers and meant no harm.
So in context I agree the D022 and the NANO?
The D022 and the SOLO yes!

In the future I should qualify my statements.
Sorry if I mislead!

I do like the D022 considering the price.
The 187 as soon as its a single I'm all over it!
The NANO is what I plan to pair it with.

Can ya double check that?

I'm pretty sure the D020-D & -W have a matrix perc with 1 band in it.
And the yingmin ion clone (GB187? Why can I not remember the name for that one?) has 2 bands and a fuckton more slits.

I would personally consider either the -D or -W as a step down from the ion clone...

Sorry about that @Frederick McGuire and all!! I stand corrected. There is one band around the whole thing, essentially turning 10 slits into 20 smaller top/bottom slits. Yes, a step down from an ion so a bit less diffusion. Still not thinking this is a bad thing, though will admit that if I can get a nice ion clone with a sidecar from any of our Chinese friends for less than $50 shipped - I'll be all over it!

I'm so embarrassed! :ugh:

Got you. Now I feel a bit too "recreationally medicated." A lot of you guys use other vapes.. I should have specified what I was using. So, yes, e-nano user here. A very happy one in fact.

Nothing wrong with a nano at all!!! :tup:

Hard to beat if you ask me - especially for the price. My daily driver for more than a year now.

I get you on what you were saying above on drawing fast. Me too, at first. It takes some getting used to. And, didn't seem like as much of an issue with the EQ. But the nano can do so much with flavor (especially at slightly lower temps), so slow and steady is where I usually try to be.

Just started doing this today... Used D020-W and started with medium load at 5.75 on dial. Took a few slow, steady flavorful hits - stirred a little bit after each. Cranked heat up to 7.25, gave it a good stir and hit it harder for a bit more diffusion. Could feel the flavor and actives shift. Pretty fun and a great way to get vaped silly. Cutting the grass was actually fun, though I did almost run right into a tree!

if the price was right I would be willing to chip in. Also I'd be more comfortable if there was some organized way to do it. Cause imagine if someone got the lot shipped to them. They then would have to go through, sort, and then ship em out to the others that also chipped in. Seems like a hassle especially just relying on one person.

I would get the D022 but it just doesn't look as appealing to me. The 187 looks sturdier and looks like the perfect size for what I want. It looks like a mobius which I always have wanted. Although I'd prefer it with no writing on it.

Just noticed this on the DHgate product page :

@yingmin5 - careful with raising prices - too much, we won't buy. We only purchase because the price is good and quality is good. Get greedy and you loose us. Remember, we are a collective, we share our experiences and opinions. If quality is better, and price is fair, we will buy many.

I believe yingming acknowledged us on the sidecar and said he would have some made, but that was long ago - no further word or confirmation yet. If turnaround on bulk orders is 50 days, and since the GB-187 seems to to have gone out of stock in the middle of June, I expect we should see the 187 back in stock within a week or two

i am very happy i bought the d022 instead of the black leaf. i like the look but not the perc placement. i just messaged yingmin about the gb186 and 187. i would by a 187 no question not as sure about the 186 though

What is a replacement downstem for the D022 if it breaks?

Also... what's the reason we can't get GB187's on massdrop? I don't know anything about massdrop but maybe someone who has done it would be willing to start a massdrop up for them?

edit: Tried placing an order but it won't take my VISA card! Anyone else experiencing trouble ordering from dhgate?

One clever way is to organize (pool together a bulk purchase) and ship to the individual locations.

Europe, Australia, USA, Canada, India.
This might make it more interesting for the broker overseas?

The D022 if you fill the water correctly and have a vapor bowl of TSF (TOP SHELF FLOWER)
You might like it as I love it!

++1 me too, works great I bought a roll of it and found out it has so many uses. Also in different thickness's.
The link for the 5 silicone mats for 10 bucks from DHG is a decent deal as well. Might have to get them too. 10 bux seems affordable, and 5 of them will come in handy just like S.S. 5 pack of J-hooks:brow: one can never have enough adjuncts when it comes to GAS.:nod:

Call Visa, they did the same to me, transaction wouldnt go thru. They were blocking my dealings until I called them and told them it was me and card wasnt stolen. I guess they thought it was stolen from the usage on a site like DHG:shrug:

Down stem can be replaced if need be, there are many from small 4 arm slitted arms to small shower heads. I think they may be 18mm ID to 29mm OD...HERE is just an example, wouldnt purchase this from them,I can do better in the states or import mkt, this is for reference ..:peace:................:leaf:

Are your purchases above 50 bux? When I tried, it kinda went to your account and from there it was deducted if the amount was over the 50 buck minimum.Check your account settings and see if the coup. was attached, if not try it again,after that you may be SOL,:ugh:................:leaf:

So for some reason my purchase of the do20-w did not go through last week .
It sat as waiting for payment ,even though I chatted with CS and they said the payment was fine? I have no idea what the problems was .
So I took it as a sign . I was a bit worried about the mouthpiece anyway .
So last night on impulse I ordered the D0200-D to go along with my Solo .
It was not even on my list until yesterday . And it shipped already !
Hope I made the right choice !
