Thank you for the warm welcome  We'll see how good my English is after a couple of bullets as well :smug:

So the screen on top of the bullets are actually that beneficial? I always thought that technique was more aimed at not clogging the screen in the glass stem. I just pop that out and clean it with a q-tip dipped in ISO, and slide it right back in.

Also, I remember reading something about using a "baby bottle nipple" to steady the GponG when hooking it up to stuff, but I can't seem to find `em. I guess these would need to be able to withstand heat, and it's those I can't find. Maybe, since this vape basically is made to be hooked up to things, some sort of "steadier" would be a product idea?

Just thinking out loud here, it's Friday afternoon round my parts of the world
I've never used my PnP without the screens and it still looks very clean, almost new. I beleive the baby bottle nipple was a @BarnBoy invention used to steady the first "temporary replacement gong". I don't think its meant to be used with the glass lined Gong. However I think I remember someone using a rubber glove or a piece of a rubber glove to keep the pong from falling off. If I remember correctly they used the thumb portion of the glove with the tip cut off. I'll look for it and add it to this post.

Hello, everyone!

(TL;DR warning, and please excuse my English, not my first language)

I've been lurking around these parts for around eight months now, and figured it was time to register and contribute to the best of my ability. I really want to start out by thanking the people on this forum for giving people considering switching to vapor so much information. It is one thing to read articles, but a wholly `nother thing to read actual user experiences - good and bad. With out this forum I wouldn't been able to make the switch from smoke to vapor so smoothly, and I would've missed out on the health benefits and of course all the other good things about this hobby (or lifestyle, rather)... Thank you, and keep spreading the "gospel" of healthy canna consumption :D A lot of my friends are vaping now, after seeing, feeling and tasting how much better it is than combustion. We're saving lives, and bringing canna in to the future here, folks!

The Pinnacle Pro is my first vape. Before that I've been smoking Euro Style spliffs, and the occational bong rip, for about 15 years, and my lungs couldn't handle it anymore. As some of you may know, in parts of Europe "Middle Eatsern" hash is often smoked mixed with tobacco and rolled in joints (no, my dear UK canna-brethren, we're not talking soap bar ;D Older folks from the UK, US and Canada know what I'm saying, as well as most "stoners" from Scandinavia, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Greece and of course India, Nepal and the Middle East). When I was smoking, I largely preferred this "old school" hash and it's more balanced and mellow effect to the modern, more intense high end weed. Now, of course, being able to control temps to achieve different effects, high grade modern weed has become a new favourite for me. Vaping really brings out the differences in the strains as well - from flavour to effect.

Being able to use what you Murrcans call "concentrates" was important for me when choosing a vape, as well as portability and stealth when out and about. I basically wanted a vape to replace my spliffs, not something reminding me of the bongs I know many are fond of.

I found out that the PnP works well with Middle Eastern Hash! It's a sticky mess to clean up though, so I must admit vaping changed my preferences from this form of hash to buds and the occational "modern" concentrate... when it's available in this cold and barren land, so far far faaaar away from Cali. A lot easier to dump the ABV out into the ABV bowl and pack a new one, than scraping the sticky hash out.

My hash technique now involves using a regular bullet, rolling high quality hash in to a ball, covering the ball in unbleached raw papers (hey, I've been smoking paper from the age of 11 `till 28, so I probably wont die from vaping some raws lol), and thus containing the stickyness of this exotic hash within the paper, but not affecting vapor production. Remember this hash is NOT full melt, and was never made for anything but combustion.

I almost feel as if I should make a "VAPING IMPORT/MIDDLE EASTERN HASH"-thread here, but I'll wait `till I become a more seasoned member of this board :D I know a lot of Europeans have access to good hash and shit weed, so I feel there should be a conversation about this.

I really like the PnP. It feels like something made by an enthusiast in a garage, for others like him. The only reason I have not recommended it to many people is that it requires an interest in vaping beyond just pressing a button and getting high. So only one of my friends got this little beauty, and he is the gadget kinda guy. Most of my other friends whom I have "converted" now rock with FireFlys or Pax'es.

Still I really like it. It is SO easy to use, even for a n00b. It requires some "modding" though, but that appeals to me - a one time Master Spliff Roller. It IS slightly to harsh on the troath, even with technique. I never go above heat level 2 with herb, and that is mainly just to finish a bullet of. Still i find it irritates my throat, whereas with the FireFly I can do heavy rips, and it feels smooth as Norwegian Mountain Air!

What I do is I either vaporbong it through water or I hook it up to a long glass downstem and then hook the downstem to a Da Buddah hose and glass mouthpiece. Works great! One only has to be careful not to tip the top off, so a certain holding technique is required. Maybe I should just get the WT?

I can live with the slightly harsh vape that comes from only using the GPonG (waaay better than the PonG though. This did actually melt on me, a setting 1 kinda guy), when out and about. The ease of loading herb and dumping ABV on the go makes up for that, as well as the super stealth of the unit. Airport security asked me if it was some sort of insuline needle. "No", i replied, "it's an e-cigar", and then I went on to explain to him the benefits of vaping organic tobacco rather than e-juice looooool

Now, after approx 6 months of HEAVY use, my collar is cracking. I've inquired about a replacement one from TYYK1 when I bought the new elongated glass stem earlier today. It seems rather easy to replace. I really do not want to send it across the atlantic ocean to change such a small part.

All in all, this vape will always have a special place in my heart, as it is the one who saved me from the horrors of combustion.

@TherealVaporblunt I hope you continue to stand behind your product and make sure customers get help when they need it. With the recent development I feel a lot safer when recommending your products to people who are curious about vaping. A good first impression is important to get people to convert. I'm exited to see where you can take this design, and I'm sure you've learned a lot from the whole PnP experience. As people have said, better materials is the key here, because this vape is ingenious! Thank you!

All right. My next posts wont be an essay like this, but I've read each and every post in this thread so I felt I had rather a lot to get of my chest.

Stay vaping, and let's keep this forum the nice place it is :D

Have a nice day,

I have family in England and visit from time to time. For my 21st Bday we flew over, and my Aunt (who lives in birmingham area) got me an ounce of hash that looked like the top of a whole wheat bread slice. Id never seen or tried anything like it and I was basically tripping out of my mind for a week because the only way I knew how to use it was in my Grandfathers old English wood pipe. I would probably put a couple grams worth of pebbles in at a time. Still had a 1/4 left after 2 weeks and thats after doing my best to finish it. My mom ended up taking it from mesaying she was going to toss it out the car door on the way to Gatwick so i couldnt get in trouble. When we get to the airport they are searching everyone (and this was pre-9/11) they even searched a 3 year old girl with pigtails who had a backpack.I was like good thinking mom ;). They let us right through without a second glance or search. Then when we get home my mom hands me the hash she had actually kept and says your welcome!!!

Well, now you understand why I want to start a thread where competent people can discuss how to vape these lovely concentrates, with their many distinct and unique flavors and qualities, depending on where in the world they are made :D

They are in many ways not really concentrates - oops, I'm on thin ice now - since they often have a lot of goo that's basically plant material (a no-no in modern concentrates) that help create the unique flavour, but have no real intoxicating effect. These different kinds of traditional hashes are, in my experience, often more balanced out with the thc- and the cbd/cbn-ratio and all the other loveliness, while modern concentrates, like modern strains, are often very heavy on the thc side, thus creating a lovely, but more one tracked high.

Maybe I should just start that thread in stead of derailing this one. Sorry, for the off topic, folks :)

I agree, it was a wonderful sort of trippy body high. I wish I could get that stuff these days as my main use is to medicate for chronic inflammation and pain.

Hey guys! About to buy the Pinnacle Pro as my first vape. I am worried about the mouthpiece though, and even with the new Gpong I would like to buy some sort of airway extension made of glass and not have to deal with any plastic mouthpiece. I will not be getting the DLX version as I don't feel like shelling out an extra $70 right now for it and plan on getting the water tool down the road. What can I buy that will help me out here? I will be ordering from theyoyokid1 as it seems many people here vouch for him and his good warranty service.

First off, I have nothing but great things to say about theyoyokid1, he is a fantastic guy, ships quick, and takes care of warranty issues faster than vapor blunt.

Second, Do not buy the pinnacle water tool, do yourself a favor and buy the F-bomb when you can (read my previous posts as to why). The F-bomb is available at www.planetvape.ca.

The mouth piece is the one thing I have not have had any issues with. If you have a pinnacle pro you should not worry if your not using it at high temps for concentrates or oils/waxes.
I have a pro, but I only vape it on settings 1 and 2. Most of the mouth piece problems occur when the unit is frequently at high, or max temps.
The high temps (which are pretty high) seem to make the plastic a bit brittle, but an easy solution for this is to let the unit cool down to room temperature before removing the mouth piece after vaping at say temp #5.
The PnP is an awesome little powerhouse of a vape, and the bullets make cleaning it a non issue.
As for the glass lined PonGs, they butt up against the bullet giving you an all glass vapor path which I highly recommend.
The Pinnacle will give you much enjoyment and make you very happy!

Thank you for the reply! Will definitely buy the F-Bomb instead when the time comes. Will need to read your posts as to why its a better purchase but I'll definitely take your word for it right now. I'm sure reading your posts about it will get me even more excited to start vaping and eventually get the F-Bomb.

Luckily the glass lined PonGs are now included with the unit so I won't have to order anything extra. Can't wait to start vaping and thanks for giving me the information I needed. Happy to know that the glass lined PonG creates an all glass vapor path.

I have read a few things about the vapor being quite hot and harsh due to having very little time to cool which has been a concern of mine. What is your opinion on this? My friend just bought a Pax and whenever he uses it and takes big drags he will cough quite a bit but for me its incredibly easy to take huge drags and not even the slightest need to cough. I feel like I don't have much to worry about since I don't cough very often but would like to know what you think. Does the GPonG help at all with giving you better vapor quality as compared to the old all plastic Pong?

I'm very glad I did my research and decided on the PnP over the Pax. My friend did get his Pax for $160 but the PnP sounds like the better buy to me from all that I've read about the two.

Thanks again for the help, and sorry for all the questions!

Here's My reason why the F- bomb is a better choice, from the Flowermate vapormax thread.
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/flowermate-vapormax-v.13786/page-35#post-640986

The main feature on the F-bomb over the pinnacle is the water slits at the top of the water tool. The F-bomb allows all the water to flow back down after each draw, the pinnacle water tools have their slits too high and allow water to remain at the top of the water tool, which in turn gets water in your mouth, unless you use very little water. here is a pic of each after filling and taking a draw. Notice the water that does not drain back down on the pinnacle water tool. The F-bomb on the left allows for much more water, and complete drainage. The pinnacle will not drain the top layer completely.

As you can see, there is apx 1/4 of standing water at the top of the pinnacle (by the first N) that will not, and can not drain.

The F-bomb rules and is worth the extra money for sure.

I talk about hooking the PnP up to a whip via a downstem on the previous page, but when I get the new elongated glass stem for the GponG that TheYoYoKid is selling, I figure I will just hook the whip up straight to that, thus lowering the chances of knocking the GponG of while in use.

I use a Da Buddah Whip, cos that's what I had laying around, but I think many whips will fit on the new elongated glass stem. A whip is easy to travel with, and requires none of the hassle that comes with glassware and water, so it's a good, cheap and relatively portable alternative for cooling down the vapor.

My Pinnacle WT has cuts all the way to the bottom so the water drains back completely into the lower chamber. As do the two knockoffs I got from China via the cheap glass thread.

Perhaps you got a less than perfect one?

That may be the case. I will send mine back for a warranty replacement, I don't use it because of that. Hopefully I have a bad piece, then I will actually be able to enjoy it!

Strong first post huh? Learned a lot from this thread guys, and I thank you for that. I was one of the guys that had a craked collar like so many after so lil time. I first contacted vapor blunt about it, they asked for a pic. After sending them one, they told me it wasn't covered under warranty, and it would be $85 to fix it. I sent a email back about how it was a flaw, and I wouldn't never buy another VB product again, and never got a answer back. Luckily I was sub to Vapfeind youtube channel, seen his video about the new MP. So I Sent a new email about the new MP and asked why they wasn't standing behind their product? I guess I sent the last email around the time they changed their CS policy and was givin a RA number for repair.

It's been rocking since, and I love this piece. Hey it lead me to these forums and I'm glad for that.
Learned a lot about my PnP, and MFLB. Cheers guys happy vaping.

Ok, I was able to find a couple posts with the "Gong steadier" originally made by @Sativape.
I believe he used a high- temp rubber glove and he took care to not cover the air holes.
I can't post pics at work but they can be found on PG.187 post #4675 and PG.205 post #5116.
Hope this helps. Happy Vaping!

EDIT: Alright, ignore my post and carry on to the next one:D. Thanks @Sativape.
Oh, yeah here is a link for the screens I use on my bullets.

@VAPEHUNTER,

I posted about using the thumb portion of the glove.
Good memory.
I say bs to people who think herbs impact our memory.

Here is a picture of the high temp glove thumb on the PNP with the 6" black borosilicate glass stem.

Just remember to cut the rubber in an angle so that the inlet air vents of the PNP are not covered.

hGMj1vL.jpg

I was at a wedding on Friday night.

I kept the PNP with 6" stem in the inside jacket pocket all night.

I was able to get through 3 bullets, with 5 x half 3-4 minute sessions taking monster long draws and was able to able to hit it up to level 3 temp off of one charge.

Excused myself and went out to the car and left the PNP to charge in the car, loaded 3 fresh bullets...

Decarbed bud kept me undetected all night.

I nursed just a few double ryes neat for the night, but did not enjoy the booze buzz one bit.

The wedding was open bar.

It's fun to be around drunk friends sometimes... but damn.. alcohol/combusting (both bud and cigs) takes a toll on a body.

Since vaping, I've been able to keep up with my cardio and weight training without any issues.

People thought I looked younger since they last saw me.

I think vaping and the combination of exercise and healthy eating have a lot to do with it.

Some of my friends looked like they aged twice as fast, and they are hardcore combustors / drinkers.
I have a gut feeling this has a lot to do with it.

Vape it up!

Keep it healthy!

Nor mine, but I do feel the odd splash on my lips if i'm pulling hard.

Got my mouthpiece extension from TheYoYoKid today.
Nice fit and does seem to add to the cooling, but makes it seem more fragile with the longer glass piece sticking out. Definitely is harder to conceal in a pocket.

It must be hella dope!!!

What does it look like?

What is it called?
- Pinnacle Ultra?
- Pinnacle Extreme?
- Pinnacle Elite?
- Pinnacle Precision?
- Pinnacle Premier?
- Pinnacle Supreme?
- Pinnacle Magnum?

If it tops the PNP, then you best have a top-a-top name!
