Cory Glass Designs re/incyclers - high function and affordable?

I was just saying that it seemed like it was not a good comparison because there are a number of people who have sent multiple messages to Cory and been IGNORED. He is getting them! He just chooses to not respond. His response to some people and only parts of messages is fucked. It is like he responds to 1 in 100 message maybe. Did you see earlier in the thread when he responded to me on Instagram? I even posted a screen shot so everyone could see I wasn't full of shit. Why did I get a rapid response yet paying customers can't get anything? How will you feel when you don't get anything?

I don't think a single person on here has had a single problem with @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd

I really don't see what this bickering is about at this point. Everyone knows what the score is. If you can't wait or need someone to whisper sweet nothings to you every so often, don't order from Cory. It's pretty simple? Im not sure why it needs to be rehashed multiple times by multiple people. I understand, say... Syrupy updating us on his situation, but a lot of this seems like bitching that a different thread was created for?

Lol you guys kill me. I know I was very fast to get orders out at first fellas but because of you guys I have a significant increase in work. I try to put more time in the more artistic pieces rather than the drippy stems and alike. Plus a few of you early adopters that have asked me to push my boundaries are held to a higher standard of work in my head. I don't wanna send out sub par pieces. Nothing but love for you guys. Just please keep in mind that other than some shipping help from Ms. JoDa I am the absolute definition of a "one man operation". Plus 3 kids and life in general.

Now as for Cory I can't speak personally for the man but he's 10 times the glass artist I am so I'm assuming that with as full as my plate is then his must be overflowing. I can understand frustration in his communication tactics (or lack there of) but, I'm very sure he's a very busy man.

I for one appreciate the hell out of your willingness to push your boundaries and take your time. Definitely not saying anything bad about your times on glass, was just comparing 2 great artists that are busy as hell. I've been saying it is simple from day one of these arguments, so I will gladly step out of this "argument" and go shoot another vid with the recycler Back to the glass! Still waiting for a cheap recycler to vortex like Cory's, speaking of glass

@blankrider if I were to not receive my paid for goods then I would be furious and take action to get it, but has there been one case of that? Not one report, so I will cross that bridge when I hopefully never come to it. Not giving updates and not delivering glass are two entirely seperate issues, so that's a Totally irrelevant question. Lol I definitely don't need daily updates and sweet nothings whispered to me. I just think that it is pretty shitty for the people who have paid weeks or even mouths ago and are waiting in the dark unable to get a simple response. If he had time to agree to an order and send you an invoice then he should have a few seconds to send a kik.

I have a small problem. I had a dream one night about a themed dish/dabber set, and took it to Joda right off. After some back-and-forth, he had the nerve to suggest it might be too complicated, thus saving he and I a bunch of trouble. (I'm actually trying to simplify the design to take another run at him with it.)

From my limited experience in ordering custom glass, I was unprepared for this level of honesty, and frankly I'm still in shock. That's as close to a problem as I could fabricate.

To drag back on topic, the leaden ball of pp justice has begun its slow roll. I wish there was a search that would show if a seller has active pp complaints, because I'd avoid those ones like the plague.

The comments I read about hand-holding or sweet-nothing undercut some of the legitimate concerns, and in my mind contribute to the problem it's describing.

We need to be the change here. I would love nothing more than to read @Caligula's and other posters analysis of what makes a good vortex, with visual examples citing Cory's work because he's obviously nailed that part.

I'm being serious too. It bugs me I can't tell from a photo if a recycler is even in the ballpark for functionality. I've seen others here (I've mind-blocked their names due to jealous), who can look at a pic and say, perc is too high in relation to drain'. Stuff like that gets me way harder than looking up FTC guidelines and PP rules.

Damn Joda and his honesty!

He made me a super cool lemon drop spoon stem for my nano and sent me teaser pictures and everything. Then next thing you know I get a message saying that he can't give it to me because it was a bad order of glass and cracking up on him.

I cannot believe that jerk, I really wanted that defective piece!

But for real v&c is the man and we are very lucky to have him here with us

Joda is actually working on something for me right now that I paid for like a month ago. My steam roller gong combo designed by @2clicker . But even though it has been a while he still keeps in touch and has sent some progress photos. We have even talked about non glass related stuff. Very cool guy.

If it were not for this fact I doubt people would be telling him to take his time and wait for inspiration. @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd is a beloved member of our community. Him and Cory are like night and day

Thing is, he can take another week. He deserves it mother fucker works hard and makes some fine glass for a good price.

Yes, with specific fuming and marble requirements, as well as input from the man himself about the joint type and size. It was all OK'd and pre-paid.

I'm having very little fun. As expected, the complaint made its mark. Got more KIKs in the last 24 hours than the last two months. They were not exactly what I'd hoped.

Photos of a piece that looks like mine. But I'm being told it won't ship unless I drop the complaint. Geez what is this, terrorism? Maybe next I'll get some photos of the piece with a big hammer next it. Give the blower what he wants or the rig gets it. This is getting to circus levels of entertaining, and kind of smells like the elephant cage too.

I'm not even going to ask for advice. I know enough that if someone is trying to convince me to give up my legal rights, that is exactly the kind of person my rights were designed to protect me from! Does he really think it's part of my diabolical plan to commission a work, and somehow through mind control prevent Cory from communicating or starting my piece before orders that came after mine? And keep this psychic attack up for 8 weeks, just so I can hang up his pp with a complaint at the last minute? Um, X-files much? I just want full protection against receiving broken glass in a padded envelope.

Let the wait begin. I'll drop just one more post on the conclusion, assuming that poor rig is untied and let free from its basement dungeon. The rig puts the fuming on the can, or else it gets the hose...PUT THE DAMN DABBER IN THE BASKET!!!

Good reaction to a crazy situation, haha. Stay calm. What was in the complaint that Cory was forced to read? Anything that would have made him think 'fuck this guy!'?

Also... kinda funny that he was working on your glass the whole time and was just incredibly busy.. Patience grasshopper. Hopefully it isn't too late to get your stuff posted safely

I don't know... maybe I'm a go along, get along type of guy. As such, I'm thinking that unless @syrupy is concerned that Cory won't ship his piece, it might be better just to drop the dispute, get the glass and try to forget this ever happened?

IIRC the dispute was to light a fire under Cory's ass... Be it in regards to communication, making the piece, and/or shipping it. Looks like it worked? And if it worked for all of the above, then even better, lol.

as with ebay disputes ive had in the past I agree to drop it when the item is in my hand and I approve its in good condition. if its not then its sent back and refunded just like if he shipped you a piece and it broke in shipping... he would still be held liable would he not?

pretty crummy it has to come to such legnths to get some peoples attention...

actually come to think of it I had to do this with another blower that was avid here at fc for a while but parted ways for poor communication troubles and concerns...

You're right. Maybe concerns need to be expressed so that the order of concessions is changed up a bit.

The system will only allow a single dispute per transaction. Once it's closed, there's no return. If the item was lost in the mail, arrived broken, wasn't as described, the buyer would have to rely on the good graces of the seller to make things right. Thus the dispute.

Within 24 hours of the complaint, I started getting pics of 'the piece'. It did looked whipped up. I had a friend who knows glass look at them, and he pointed out that the base and mp are, um, 'not good'. I didn't see any fuming that was agreed upon. :/ Also, my friend thought it was weird that all the shots were from the rear. I asked for a fucntion vid, but was told he tested it and it was "fine". Am I supposed to be feeling warm and fuzzy?

This is why I agree the dispute should remain until the buyer is satisfied. Too much weirdness and a seller who's story is not adding up. Why would anyone suggest it was just a attention-getting maneuver on my part? I tell you what @Caligula, I'll close the dispute now if you want to cover Cory's end of it.
