There's been so much chatter in here about how young and inexperienced the GH developers are, yet people still manage to find it surprising that their initial release date estimate was wrong. I once worked on a project run by highly experienced project managers and intelligent developers that wound up missing the original release date by 6 years. A 6 month delay is not at all uncommon in a development project of any significant complexity.

Has there been any news about the water tool adapters? Those should be finished and ready to ship by now. I hope GH knows how to multitask.

One of the biggest hurdles for a new company like this is the building of vendor/supplier relationships.
This takes a lot of time to get right and if it isn't, it can sink a new vaporizer company into vapor itself.

Last I heard (imagined?) they were throwing one in for all the early supporters,
as compensation for the extra wait time :tup:

Add Inhalater inh05 to that list. I've been watching the thread and it looks really promising. Still, something as stealthy as the GH would be a dream. Hopefully, it isn't.;)

We may know differently tomorrow, but as of now there is no reason (other than pessimism) to think that their last predictions several weeks ago have changed.

But you can't go wrong with a Solo.

@grokit- where did you hear that? Sounds great to me, but what about people who already paid for an adapter?

Honestly if you want a true portable I doubt the Solo is a valid option, its sorta big, not something I would want to through in my pocket all the time.

Maybe they get two? Or credit on future purchases? That's what I would do as a company.

I did not know about it also, where did you hear that grokit, would love a free adapter :-D!

I could swear that there was an update that made this promise as compensation for the many extended delays in production, but all I can find now is the discount offer during black friday of last year.
So maybe it was wishful thinking, sorry (op edited)!

I would hope the INH05 outperforms the grasshopper solely based on price. I would buy an inhalator if I wasn't waiting on the grasshopper.

Can you cite these claims of performance? Not looking for a fight, just genuinely interested as this has been brought up time and time again in this thread. People always say that they have such high expectations of this vape yet I can't find any claims about the vapes relative performance by the Grasshopper team. What are these expectations based on? The usage videos?

This is the only thing I can find. Quoted from their IGG page "Heater - The heater is one of the most innovative elements of Grasshopper. Using Direct Metal Laser Sintering, (a type of metal 3D printing), we've created an extremely compact heat exchanger with very little flow resistance. A 30 Watt heating element means that Grasshopper will always keep up, no matter how aggressive your usage."

I can't wait for my Grasshopper, even if it performs on par with lets say a Vapir NO2 I'll be more than happy given its size. I doubt many others will see it this.

i am talking about how well it is going to produce vapor. i am skeptical just like most here is all. as ive said all along this vape is a beaut but i dont think its going to produce vapor like they claim. the videos were not very reassuring IMO.

not hating just skeptical

GH claimed it performs on par with a plug in vaporizer, long battery life, 5 second heat up time, easy to clean, vortex heating that allows such short air space to not produce harsh vapor.

Gonna take a look at the Inh05. I remember looking at the XP, although after a quick search it looks like they failed their recent Indiegogo campaign. I wonder if it's because so many people are waiting for the Grasshopper?

I don't know what other people want in a portable vape but I really want is something that works great plugged in at home connected to a water piece, that I can grab on the way out the door
for something portable and discrete on the go (preferably pocketable)

The Grasshopper still seems the most promising. Firefly seems interesting but it looks a little big and not very discreet. Gonna check out the Indica more.

They did? How in the hell can it do that?

Which plug-in?
And in which parameter does it perform on par with? Vapor production, taste, versatility, etc etc??

That statement implies that it it performs on par with most all of them in most all of the parameters. Hell, not even a specific plug-in as compared to other plug-ins can make that statement hold water.

I don't think the explicitly compared it to a "plug in vaporizer". Or if they did, I can't find it on their IG page. They have said 5 sec. heat up time, and or course some vague stuff about how revolutionary it is.

Yeah, that does seem a bit hyperbolic. I think if I was counting on that being true, I'd probably wind up dissapointed.

There was definitely a claim about it being the equal of "desktop" vaporizers in the marketing at one point. I remember seeing/hearing that. Either in this thread from the Grasshopper person, or in one of their videos (probably the video).

The desktop it was being compared to is the Extreme-Q, which is not known as a heavy-hitter.

Being the user of an extreme-q for years, I don't believe there is any chance of that being true. The Q might not compare to the Evo or sub, but the Q can still deliver lung busting clouds with ease. The Q demolishes all portable on the market still IMO , you just can't get the same power out of a battery as you do from a wall. At lest with any technology I'm aware of

I find the Hammer to deliver like a plug in or better than most. I don't feel that its a difficult task. I think it would be nice if it could combust, then you know it will deliver.

That's what I meant, in comparison to vapes that are known as such like the evo, sub, ssv etc.
