Distilled Glass, a quality recyceler at a very reasonable price

I once was sort of friends with the blower Vince P and we were hanging out one day at this place in Yorkville that he used to blow glass. I was describing a hammer bubbler with triple donut that I wanted him to make for me. He was kind of busy and not really interested but a different blower there overheard me and made the piece I described. When I showed up later that week he wanted a very fair price but I turned it down like an idiot. I had never actually asked him but it was still kind of bogus on my part.

THAT BLOWER TURNED OUT TO BE ROBIN HOOD!

I could have been friends with the dude but instead I will always be some asshole who rejected his work. Huge mistake!

Edit: this was like 07

Reminds me of this guy I used to know named Andy. Kept trying to sell me some shitty painting of soup cans for a couple hundred bucks. Guy was a nut.

That's funny but this actually happened and I still own a custom shot glass Vince made me and a super sick dry pipe. The pipe is TI signed. When you see pictures of Vince he is wearing a hat most of the time. Sometimes one with a flying ear of corn. That is Dekalb and it is my home town

Edit: we are the home town of super model Cindy Crawford lol so show some respect

One thing I like about the Distilled Glass, in comparison to Corey, is that Distilled's return spout from the recycler can comes in at the bottom of the base.

On Corey pieces, like the one pictured above, the return stem from the recycler goes into the base a few inches up. Does that difference effect the action at all?

I have no recyclers and I really think I need one:)

It does not effect the action really. I think how high or low the perc is in the can has more of an edge effect on the action. I asked him to put my perc down low because I wanted the bubbles to have to pass through a greater distance of water.

I do think that having the return go all the way down to the bottom helps circulate the water more completely.

The water below the return in the Cory recyclers most likely sits there and doesn't really recirculate much.

Just wanted to give you guys an update about my order. The turnaround time for Mike has been amazing. Great communication and my piece is already finished! It is being shipped out today and am so excited. I asked Mike to make a really wide base since I'll be putting my evo on there as well as a long mouthpiece.

@alex h congratulations bro that looks really nice! That is one hell of a neck. Yours looks closer in style to CGD recycler so maybe all the people who didn't like mine will give Mike a chance now.

I actually like yours more than the Cory since yours has a nice wide base and the return tube goes all the way down to the bottom

Thanks a lot @blankrider It was because of you that I was able to finally get my recycler!
