Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

Oh yes i understand,I think it's both heat transfer and hot electronic (especially the batteries, at least with the thermovape tube batteries becomes very hot!), heat transfer from the cart and hot elecronic from the batteries.

Maybe it might better to don't use it.... I done only one try with my evo cart not enough long to make the batteries hot, so I'm pretty confident I didn't hurt my Persei but it might be a nice combo!

What is the resistance reading of the cart?

Does the Persei top heat up fast?

I'm just curious @PPN, does the original thermovape device use those CR123a batteries? Those are the one time use, non-rechargeable cells right? They usually have those Positive Temperature Coefficient protection tabs, that are supposed to get hot when pushed too hard. What is the resistance of the Cera cartridge? I read they are 20W @ 6V, that's 3.33A. That sounds kinda hard on a CR123a.

There are so many names! Just off the top of my head; Omicron, Persei, 8, Nibbler, Bender, Hammer, Iris, Okeanos, Triton, Vection/Duction H2O, and The Core. All made by Utopia Planitia. Whose website is w9tech. Damnit it's kind of confusing.

my persei and core are out for delivery should have them in a couple hours

how can I ensure my Hercules is assembled correctly as that's what seemed to fry my last head
I would be bummed if it happened again to my new one
does it not matter since I have the new "surge protected" head?
I watched the video and assemble accordingly but without that tester is there no way to figure out?
does everyone with a herc have a tester?

I thought you gave up on those.
I thought those were long forgotten lol. Excited about 1701!! Maybe this year.

The 1701 uses one component from the Triton so once that was completed we thought what the hell lets do it.

Also side note, Tritons last piece is finished.

Testing starts next week.

I still use the EO carts on my Omicron on the go. Hoping the 1701's will bring joy to the Omicron this year!! Persei has been getting spoiled with all the peripherals! Any chance we will see the 1701's before the triton?

Yes that means you have a short somewhere on the Hercules. Make sure batteries are charged. If positive you have good batteries, you more than likely have a short.

What voltage do you have the Core set to? AFIK there are still some voltages that are not available to the Persei. Try 3.7v or 7.4v depending on accessory.

I started at 6 I read the instructions said max 7.5 min 5.0 I thought I could range anywhere inbetween
I put it on 7.4 and the button glows normal now like its working but my herc still is not heating

im using a core
so a short as in my Hercules is broken or a short as in its not assembled correctly
I was told last night the herc is almost impossible to break? that's why I bought the new persei

alright thanks everyone fredster diehard appreciate it I got it going
its weird the Hercules is one of those things where it works for me or it doesn't I assemble it correctly and the same way every time sometimes It makes contact others it doesn't I don't know why

I find sometimes with mine (SR-71 with 74 center post) the rod gets a light film of oil which creates an intermittent situation of light working but no heat. A little swab with ISO on the rod and in the center post solved it for me.

Ok I'm confused I was reading these forums off and on for almost a year before buying an ophos and I'm now waiting albeit not so patently for the new persei to come out so I can order the newest persei and a Hercules and a few other things also very interested in what the triton is going to be but what is a 1701 I've only seen very few mentions of it but have no clue what it is or if I should be waiting for that as well

Yes.

@lonelyhero the initial 1701s had leaking issues, we redesigned it and used components from other projects, the last component we needed was from the triton. We shall test it and see how it goes and production starts.
