Discontinued The Baker: By Vaporblunt

Yea not a problem I totally agree about the context FlyingLow. When I say real deal I guess that may have come off as extreme. I don't mean to say this thing blows other vapes away or anything like that. SSV is still my favorite whip to use, and the volcano is still king of balloons. I guess when i say real deal I more mean the product is exactly as described. Very versatile and delivering quality experience through a whip and I would imagine not any different on a water pipe. I tried a dab on HT without any water.... very very hot.. but great vapor density, and no problems with the dome. Reminds me of the original vaporblunt actually. seems like it was made with a purpose and it filled that purpose very well. After getting feedback from users the VB 2.0 came out with all the bells and whistles. I'm expecting to see a model to come out in the future that caters to the high end vapers out there. Using more expensive materials, adding a fan to aid in convection, maybe a balloon option, and an entirely glass vapor path. I haven't heard anything like that though. Just my random side thoughts.

I've never even heard of this vape until yesterday. I kinda gotta boner for it really. I'll be buying one this week for sure. Will be my first plug in.

I have 5 vapes (all portables) and 3 of them are Vapor Blunt products. I've only had one heating issuse (with the Palm 2.0) and tvrb fixed it free of charge. He threw in 2 extra batteries as a bonus when he sent it back too. I'm surprised to see all the criticism, but it's usually the bad press that makes the headlines.

I'm very satisfied with the products I've purchased from them. Anxious for the Baker now.

Hey @TherealVaporblunt, I'm curious, Did you make it to the LA cannabis cup this year?? Also, Did you place for an award?
Yeah, we shared the booth with simba glass. We've done every cup so far, they are a great vibe.

No, we didn't win anything because we didn't enter the contests. They charge an entry fee to have the products qualify, and the whole thing feels like a price gouge. I took a moral stance lol

@jrk4d I'm glad to hear you like your Baker. I'd love to see a video, I know we don't have any videos out so the more the merrier with user experiences!

This is a video of me using my baker. I've had it for a week now and believe I really have this beast dialed in. I find myself never using pong attachment as the unit is easily overwhelmed at any temp below 425 with the whip and easy to overwhelm at any temp when using a waterpipe. The unit appears to use only your draw to produce convection, but due to the "wide open" nature of the pong, the convection is nearly non existent. When the oil dome is added, the vapor its the dome, spins, and remains very near the bullet, allowing lots of convection. As you can see in my video, at 435 I can hit this for almost 20 seconds, then three 10 second draws without much recovery time for the machine. This machine is nearly impossible to overwhelm when using the dome.I would have taken more hits as this material was not finished, but my lungs are new to these amounts of vapor and I didn't want a 10 minute video of me coughing. I simply wanted to show the hit quality without much recovery time. This dome attachment includes excellent vapor quality and long solid draws for temps as low as 340. At temps around 365-380, using the dome, I find myself getting 20-30 quality and visible vapor clouds with around .2 flowers packed. The vapor never gets an unpleasant taste if i do not take the temp over 380. It just starts to get really airy after 20-30 big draws. You will however need a screen for the top of your bullet. and whatever means you can think of to keep bullet from popping out during hard hits. I simply wedged a very very thin nail as close to one side of the plastic circle as possible. This makes the nail overlap maybe 1mm of the heating chamber and just barely causes a touch of resistance when removing the bullet. This added to the convection of the dome, and the screen will allow you to experience literally any type of vape session you want. temps from 335(I blow out visible vapor at 335) to 380 I do not even use a water pipe. The whip does fine in cooling the vapor and as I keep reiterating, will not be overwhelmed by long draws. I am not saying to hit this like a hookah, but very good draws. SSV has always been my favorite whip. It is easy to use after a small learning curve and provide some of the best vapor quality available. This unit has completely replaced SSV after completing my tweaks. The system is idiot proof now. I can hand the whip or waterpipe to anyone and tell them to just inhale. Anyone who has used a SSV or other vapes that uses that heating method has either combusted flowers themselves, or had a friend cause combustion with an overly aggressive draw. I've now used this side by side with a SSV and the vapor quality is nearly identical without any possibility of combustion. When the temp is set from 355-375, the vapor has the exact density as the bags of vapor i've had from my few experiences with volcanos. I have not used the volcano since getting this vape, but there has never been a vape that made me want to give up combustion altogether, but 0 smoke has entered my lungs since last Tuesday when my unit arrived. Great job @TherealVaporblunt

Took a regular old 12 mm downstem, put a screen about an inch and a half or so from the bottom or downstem/heating element when in baker. The $3 downstem is thin glass so it heats up fast but is not untouchable where i have the material even when it sits in the unit for almost a minute. I set the temp in the high 560-615 range and i can get pretty much all vapable material in one rip. the thinning of the vapor towards the end of the rip is due to about .04 being packed in the piece and the material being used, not the unit being overwhelmed. I can get one more thin hit like this but its thin and boring due to the material being done. but As you can see, almost no browning.. the only drawback is that .05 or .06 is about the most that can be packed. the placement of the material needs to be surprisingly precise. I've found if i pack even a bit to much my dense hits are accompanied by an unwanted afternote of abv and the material actually noticeably browns. When the screen is moved back pretty much at all, the temp must go way up which I'm trying to avoid since I'm already at such high CORE temps. I plan to pick up another downstem and cutting it really short. the shape of the flared top fits nicely on an 18mm downstem. I have a screen cut to fit in my downstem which allows me to pack a really wide and shallow load. I've already seen some results with my current downstem, but the amount of thin and exposed glass is hard to keep at temp. A shorter downstem will allow for the option of a large bowl, and a pure convection hit.

I purchased a Baker on the 16th of August. This is my first experience with a vaporizer. I suffer from a rare genetic disorder and have found that MMj can help with the physical pain caused by it but do not like smoking.

The unit I purchased never seemed to work like I saw in the videos and within 2 days of using it, the display started to go crazy. I would set it for 370 degrees F and then the display would go anywhere from 300-700 randomly until it eventually displayed an E04 and then shut itself off. It's been like this since then. I have a thermocouple for my mutli meter and measured the accuracy of the display vs the chamber temperature and found it to be off by as much as 300 degrees F compared to the set point. If it's set for 400F the chamber will usually reach about 270F, but then start drifting slowly down to 200F before heating back up to anywhere from 220-320F.

I have tried contacting Vapo Blunt by email and phone for warranty support for about 1 week and have received no call backs and no email responses.

So far my review is the unit is very poor and does not perform even close to spec. Customer service from the manufacturer is also very poor.

This is unfortunate based on the reviews I've seen, but since I have no financial recourse to recover the money I spent on this unit which was DOA, I'm sharing my experience. Buyer beware.

If by some chance the manufacturer contacts me for warranty replacement, I will provide an appropriate update.

You probably bought with a credit card, you can contact your credit card company and let them know what you bought doesn't work. Isnt there something the credit card company can do? Since you just bought this recently?

@soacahtoa, I'm really sorry to hear about your experience with a faulty unit/unreliable customer service. I think the @TherealVaporblunt has officially quit on this thread. Since there aren't really any other good forums/discussions or really general info for this particular vape, and pretty much no one that isn't hard into researching vapes has heard of this, I'm predicting this being discontinued. As for the heat discrepancy you experienced @soacahtoa, one reason for this could be that the display is monitoring only core temp. The only part that reaches the displayed temp is the very center of the bottom of the heating chamber. the rim of the chamber i believe is only meant to aid in convection as the heating element is very small, and easily overwhelmed when using the bullets and standard pong. With the chamber and your actual materal sitting at the 270-320 range means not you don't need the incoming air to be that much hotter in order for vapor to occur. If you can get a hold of the manufacturer and get a working unit, try the methods I used in my videos. both methods are still very effective even at much lower temps than I use. The only reason I use such high temps in my videos is to show the potential of this vape. I really never use temp displays on vapes anyway. Every company measures in different spots, and none other than herbie seems to have a true consensus on accurate temps. I use my temp control like a SSV or classic volcano. The unit for sure needs a warm up time before use as well. The unit hits core temp fast but keep in mind that heat is constantly being stolen from incoming ambient air, the steel heating chamber, and the insulating ceramic. I usually turn my on to 600 and let it sit for 5 or 6 minutes to be honest. that gets the unit itself feeling warm and the heating element from getting cooled down. If you are using the bullet and pong, drop the temp to the 420 range once its fully heated. let the bullet soak for 20 seconds or so and proceed to take slow draws. If you use the oil dome, you can take much stronger draws. Keep in mind this unit is using convection and conduction so if you are using the bullet, try no to keep your bullet in the unit for less than 4 mins to keep from over browning. If you can find the 12mm downstem, you can set the heat from 470-610 and get literally any type of vapor you want. I wish I has a camera to do the hits justice, but I would put the clouds I get with this up against the EVO or any other vape on the market. When the temp is low the vapor is tasty and smooth. The baker also get hotter than almost all vapes which allows me to get virtually all vapable material in one big draw. when I pack bullets I use .1 at a time. .05 with the downstem.

I don't own the Baker. I do own a few VB products.
I think if you have a good unit it sells itself. You don't need the manufacturer to come on and sell it. Also a company needs to have good customer service and a phone that they answer. Please answer your emails in a timely manner manufacturers or vendors. Please answer your emails period.

Many times folks are using these vaporizers as a medical device and some having debilitating illnesses. They don't want to hassle with a product that is faulty and no recourses to get it fixed. Not to mention the cost involved and the stress.

Going down that route now, but I already spoke with the CC company. They said I have no recourse since the shop I purchased it from has a no refunds policy. I already tried working with the shop, they said tough luck call the manufacturer. If Vapor Blunt doesn't come through for me with a warranty claim, I'm out a couple hundred dollars of my hard earned cash.

Saddest part for me is that I really wanted to try vaporizing flower. I can't smoke flower, but it's so easy to get so I need some way to consume it besides eating it. I'm very new to MMj and flower is the easiest way for me to sample and figure out what works best for me.

I can say do not buy anything from Wild Side Smoke shop in the Ventura area. I made a conscious choice to support a local business vs buying online, this is the thanks I get.

can anyone show me a vape that'll make bong that cloudy? The downstem is completely whited out. this was not me taking a slow steady draw to make it look thick. This is me trying to get the hit done as fast as possible and I am ripping this thing. look at the suction and how I almost get splashed when I pull the vape. Blow out isn't that impressive but keep in mind, this was maybe .05. If you pause the video as the camera is getting in on the ABV you can see the pile compared to the dime. Also most blowouts I see from convection vape users kinda get exaggerated because of how long the hits take. When I hit this baker at super high temps the bong is filled super fast. It actually reminds me a bit of the "sublimation" claimed by another vaporizer producer I wont't mention because all that arguing can go on his page lol. The evo, versa, HI, UDV, herborizer, and other powerful convection vapes seem to take a few solid seconds to start producing good vapor. The reason I say the hits look exaggerated is that the people's lungs are completely full by the time (at least most videos on youtube) the person pulls the watertube. In my hit, the rip only lasts for about 10 seconds and I take another huge breath in before blowing out as I'm 6'2 and have big lungs. But even my 5'0 girlfriend can get the exact same rip because the vapor comes so fast. As for the temp used, 700 is excessive. I actually get the best results at about 670 for material with really high oil content. I get a longer rip, and the bong gets just as cloudy. The only reason I don't have more vids is I used my girlfriend's phone instead for this one for the quality and she wont let me use it for these videos anymore lol. I like using this vape in tons of different ways. The best flavor comes from using the bullets with the flower dome. Makes for mostly conduction and not a lot of diluting air. This also allows for longer sessions at lower temps. If I need that raisin feeling in my lungs I can crank the temp way up and get as close to combustion as I want. 550-610 produces long thick hits. (similar to evo and shown in another video I have on youtube and above)(For the record the reason I bring the evo vape up now and in previous posts is that I have respect for the makers and the excellent product. Not pooping on them or any of the other vapes I mentioned, trying to show just how impressive these baker hits really are!)

Also am I the only person that actually bought one of these??? I have still not seen any videos or mention of this product anywhere other than some beta test vids and my own.

So I sent off my unit last week. They are only about 50 miles from where I live so they have it. I haven't heard anything back from them yet. Just emailed to see if the company responds. Hope I'm not out my money and can try vaporizing soon.

well as one of the biggest fans of this unit it pains me to say my unit is dead. When using my unit for the first several weeks, I did not pay close attention to the cord, and over several sessions, it got twisted to the point that the wires frayed and the current could not go through. The reason it was a big deal is the spot where it failed, right at the base of part that plugs into the physical unit. It would take more skill and tools than I have access to.
I promptly notified @TherealVaporblunt and was directed to vapordave. I told Dave my exact situation and asked if I could purchase a new power supply. Within hours Dave wrote me back asking for my shipping information and said the power supply would be shipped ASAP.
Anyone that has followed this thread should have an idea the vapor density my unit provided. This thing could deliver the most intense vapor possible, or the smoothest, tastiest vapor with only very minor tweaks to the original design. As I mentioned much earlier in this thread, this unit opened my eyes to the potential of vapor, and I have not combusted since receiving my unit.
After I sent Dave my info, I waited about 3 or 4 days with no reply. Because of how much I enjoyed my unit, I was desperate to have it functioning again. So for 4 sessions I plugged in my computer cord and the thing turned right on and i was off!
Towards the end of my 4th session I noticed my vapor density deteriorating. When i adjusted the temp it was revealed that the unit would no longer heat. :(.
I cannot put the blame on vaporblunt here, but the customer communications with this company simply must improve. I cannot tell everyone how bummed I am that I won't get giant blasts from this unit. My advice to any potential buyers.
1.) be very careful with the unit in general. out of the box the unit feels very solid but the plastic quickly becomes easy to bend by squeezing the unit at all. also you have to watch the cord. I know that sounds basic but this cord is as thin as it gets. Not a lot of room for abuse at all.
2.) Get in touch with folks at vaporblunt before you purchase. Make sure they know who you are because there are simply too many unanswered emails from this company. If they know you personally, maybe you can get some better response time.
3.) Buy from vaporblunt. simple as that. dont fuck with ebay or any other site for Vaporblunt products only. I can't speak form personal experience, but from the other forums it looks like the people that have bought from distributors don't SEEM to get the attention.

All in all I can't blame the unit for its ultimate demise. I ran the thing at super hot temps and ran out of patience waiting for my power supply. Can guarantee the wrong power supply was the ultimate demise for unit. But like I said, this could have been fixed by the nice folks at vaporblunt, but unfortunately the lack of customer service will be the reason I part ways with this company.
