@rizzo my # is 001433.
My unit has worked great from day one. I don't have any complaints, but rather thanks.
I think Mike did, and is doing a wonderful job with the Indica.
Sure guys, there are a few bugs to work out, but the Indicas only been out a few months.

To be able to PM Mike on FC and get such quick replies is a thing of beauty.
Try to get another manufacturer/owner to reply back as quickly, it's like pulling teeth!
Thanks Mike for keeping your presence on the thread to answer all our questions, and keeping us in the loop with what's going on in "Indica land". We do appreciate it.

What about guys like me who have been really polite about my complaints and non working unit? My PM was completely ignored while other people have gotten replies, and I've called customer service three times and have not received a callback after almost 3 weeks. It would be nice if I was at least acknowledged. I'm very disatisfied and at this point am considering requesting a refund and just waiting until the new one comes out and reordering.

I wish I had as much faith as others here. Right now I'm really disappointed with the Indica experience.

I'll bet you Mike replies to you today. He is not ignoring you, he's running a business. Don't be discouraged.

I am in the same boat but I am sure hes just busy sorting out the production issues. If you are going to reorder its probably better to just wait for the resolved unit as old stock could still linger and you wouldn't want to risk getting old stock.

So here is my rough review for Indica Vaporizer.

Due to the slow UK custom charge process, it took me almost 2 weeks to just receive it.
Anyway, when I first received it I had extremely intense first session. It milked out lot of visible vapors. :o
However, after first use, from the 2nd session till 17th session I hardly had no vapor at all.(even on highest setting? Red) :bang:
So I PM'ed Michael, and while waiting for his reply randomly thought why not give another try and decided to had my 18th session. I couldn't be bother to pack the chamber nicely, so just dumped herbs and threw spacer whatsoever, and turn the indica on... and what!?:hmm:

My indica finally produced mass amount of vapors like my first use!!

I was packing down the chamber like I did to my Pax. As conduction vaporizers requires maximum amount of contact with the chamber so I did to same to my Indica, which might caused blockage on the airpath result no vapor production..

And while I was writing another letter to Michel, explain that my unit is now in perfect working order, I have received reply from Michael that he will replace my unit, as soon as the remanufacturing inventory finishes by end of this week. So I replied him that I don't need replacement anymore.

I am very impressed with Indica vaporizer but I was even more impressed with the Manufacturer.
(Michael)
Usually when contact other manufacturers for faulty unit, they more likely blame on the customers for the fault and try avoid the responsibility, but Michael was very different.
This will obviously encourage me to purchase more updated versions in future comfortably.(Indica 2, or Black version)

It is true that the vapor that produced by Indica might have less visible effect (clouds) than Arizer Solo or Firefly, but I usually compare my vapors underneath the halogen light to define by the texture(density) of the vapor and Indica does produce a lot of dense vapors as well as other portable vaporizers.

And what I found real fancy was that I can charge Indica with PS3 controller charging cable, so I could charge on PS3, USB Port, and even on my car with USB cigar jack connector and I could even use while charging this is just amazing.

One chamber with the spacer lasted me 3 sessions!!! What can I expect more.??
Its definitely 2nd smallest next to MFLB (The smallest vaporizer) and this is damn efficient, therefore I announce Indica is da Pax Killer!!!!!!!!!

I got a response from Michael last night, and for that I'm grateful. However, from what he said I'm not sure I'll be eligible for a replacement since the light doesn't work on the unit along with the heater. The whole unit is dead, not just a broken heater.

Hopefully I'll get another response confirming I am still eligible for a replacement. If not, then I'll have to explore other options.

I have been away from the forum for a while , but just wanted to check in and say that just like Vape Dr. , my Indica has held up well . I can't think of a single bad thing to say about it .
@ vapor lee
I get my best results with a semi tight 1/2 pack and a spacer . If I can't get a good draw , I usually run a pipe cleaner down the air path and it works like magic .
@marblesmike
Thanks and fixed ... Quoted the wrong response ..

Not sure if you meant to quote my post. I loved my Indica, until the unit completely died and won't turn on or charge anymore.

all i hear is that they have great customer service, but how the hell is this good customer service. i really wanted this product when i did my research on it, but now i wish i didn't buy it at all. i would be $200 richer and i wouldn't have gotten bent over and fucked by them. i should have just bought a solo or something. i even really liked the product for the 3 days it did work, but this whole experience just trying to contact them makes me just want to give up and never give them the light of day. i do apologize for my aggravated tone i just can't help it anymore. i'm not too keen on losing $200.

I am wary of them as well. I have heard different stories about the length of warranty on the device. Some users manuals state 6 months while the Indica website states a year. Two emails sent over the last three weeks to the company for a clarification of the warranty were ignored or did not garner a response. Customer service failure= wont buy your product..

I think the original warranty was 6 months but, I found that the returnable warranty letter included with the Indica stated the warranty covers upto 1 year. If you not willing to try than no one forces you to give a go. As there are many other vaporizer in the market, so discover lot and if you not happy with those than give a go for Indica. It should not be too late than.

I was worried about the one year warranty at first too, but seeing Mike's commitment on here made me come around, and since then he has worked hard to take care of me, replacing my perfect original (if your from the first production batch like I was, and I believe @Vape Dr. was too, where you're battery indicator gives you around 3 ten-min sessions each on batter level white green and red, instead of the since-redesigned indicator software which shows you 80-100% white then green then like last 20% or so is red, then you should have no problems with taste/smells/offgassing, they were all mostly pretty perfect I believe) after I accidentally busted it with a bad drop at a odd angle. He then continued to work with me as my replacements had the aforementioned smell/taste/fume issue. So I am very excited we are almost back to original production quality so everyone can get back to just indicating their troubles away, I know I will be putting in some overtime with when my prodigal son returns...

I am looking for a battery pack for charging on the go and have no idea what I should be looking for. Most of them are marketed towards smartphones. I would like something to fully charge the Indica at least once and that has a regular USB for also charging my iPhone (just in case). Smaller the better.

Can somebody help me with numbers/specs I should be paying attention to?

The charging amperage determines the charging speed, so the higher the faster. The USB standard is 1.5A but lots of chargers use 2A, and I've seen some that use 3A. The Indica can handle all of them. The capacity in mAh determines how many charges you can get from the pack. Since the Indica uses a 900 mAh battery, divide the capacity by 900 for a rough estimate. You'll get slightly more because you'll never reduce the Indica battery to 0. Finally, the Indica uses a mini-USB connector plug. Phones use micro-USB so make sure you get the right connector.

Hey guys. I know Michael is working hard to try and get the indica replacements to everyone. I do seem to have a little issue though. My father is about to sell the house I am living in at the moment. The issue I have is do you believe the replacements would get mailed before the time I move out (a little over 2 weeks from now).

Well I brought it up when he asked everyone for their mailing information. I asked him if I could change the mailing address. and he said to give him the original mailing address and phone number and everything will fall into place. And then that was it...

I'm considering an Indica but I am afraid of making the final step still. It's either this or a solo. The problem is, the Solo has a replace-able battery so I could use it forever. I don't want to end up getting a messed up Indica vape. Arg :/ This vape is better IMO because much smaller + larger capacity.

Has anyone compared the Solo to the Indica? A youtube review including showing usage and pictures of the herbs before and after would be awesome.

Yeah, I'm thinking along these lines : I give props to the Indica vaporizer. It's very high quality. It works well. It has everything I want in a vape except for the fact that the battery cannot be replaced. I believe that for now, I will save the $70 or so and purchase a Solo vape. I think it's a nice model, with a long stem that can collect residue and cool the smoke a bit better. It also has a wider range of temperatures to play with.

When the next model of Indica comes out, I will definitely be right there to purchase it as I'm really banking on those replace-able batteries. Sorry if I sound like a sore sport over this, it's just how I feel I guess.

Perhaps this information would be more tastefully presented in the Solo thread, rather than in the thread started by Indica, and inhabited by its fans.

You've shared how you feel, and we understand you a bit better now.
