For all you using bags with the Eq , I just wanted to share something nice i have been using for awhile now. It is the Camelbak Ergo Hydrolock valve. I simply put a small piece of the stock tubing at the end of glass mouthpiece and than attach this valve and what it does is lock the bag from any vapor getting out instead of having to use your finger. It works perfect and theirs a small yellow piece that opens and closes. Its great and will keep your vapor in for awhile while nothing escapes. I bought mine from amazon but they can be had for cheap most places online , here is a link http://www.amazon.com/CamelBak-90121-Camelbak-Ergo-HydroLock/dp/B0019DGBC8

Thanks in advance!!!

yes it is possible to get vapor at that temp although it wont be very visible to the eye . I like to go 200deg - 220 tops

has anyone tried using the herbalizer bag? The valve seems like it'd fit pretty easily, and it looks nicer and is more efficient than the eq bag.

I'd try myself, but I havent purchased my eq yet. I'm just going through this forum to see what i might need to enhance its ability to serve me :)

Nice find!!

How does it work? Is there a ball that hold the pressure back?

Wonder if using an aquarium check valve would work? They would be cheaper, though not as nice looking.

See the little yellow piece on it , that is a valve that you pretty much twist left or right and it will allow air to come out or lock it up for no air flow. It works great , what you would do is cut a little piece of tubing and slide it on the valve and take the other part of tubing and slide that on the glass mouth piece. Also a trick if anyone is having trouble getting the glass mouth piece on a new bag just use a rubber band and zip tie much easier .

First the flavor, then the buZzz settles in....
Hey everyone, Ive been reading through this thread for a while and I saw some concerns from the melting plastic inside this unit or supposed "Mica", but that was way earlier in the thread. I wish I woule have seen this before purchasing my unit. It is a concern for me. Are people still concerned about this? I came to the conclusion that whatever was melted inside was due to the unit being on for long hours and at very high temperatures. Like more closer to the max temp of the unit. Its a bit of a shock though because the unit is named extreme. So its implied that you can take it to the extreme and back with no ill effects

Please...anyone knows exactly how long takes EQ to fill a bag? I was checking and it takes 3:21 at 3 fan level! Full of vapor at 220 c medium Cyclone bowl of grass and stock bag, what do you think? Maybe is too much?
Thanks!!
And thanks for this forum one more time ,apart of the "personal trainning" each one

Personally i have never timed it but coming from a volcano i can say it def takes allot longer. I do my bags on fan speed 1 with a temp of about 215-220 and gradually work my way up in fan speed and temp as the bag fills up more. I find this gives me a thicker vapor that is more powerful for my needs. Starting at fan speed 3 has never given me a super thick vapor filled bag. Best of luck and glad you are enjoying the Q. Id say it takes anywhere between 2minutes to 5 minutes tops to fill. My favorite is using the Q with a water pipe though , when i 1st bought it i wanted something cheaper than my volcano that can do bags but after using i came to really like hitting it with a water piece attached and i still use the bag once in awhile.

that sounds about right, it just seems like forever while you watch the bag fill

hoptimum,
Hey,

My arizer broke. the glass piece which surrounds the heating unit cracked when I was pulling out the elbow from the bowl... I have no idea why it did that as I handle my unit pretty gently. Anyone ever try to get a warrnaty process through them? It's glass but it is a piece built into the unit and isn't a part I can just buy and replace ... I emailed their service email but they haven't gotten back to me yet. Anyone else have experience with this? Its my only plug in unit so I need it to function ... I hope they respond back. Otherwise sweet unit, has held up to almost daily use for 2 years..

This happens to a lot of Extremes, not so much with the Qs, but it does happen. The heater cover is not covered by warranty but is also not expensive and you can replace it yourself. There are instructions much earlier in this thread. Usually any LHS that carries the EQ will stock replacement heater covers. The one where I bought mine also would have replaced it for an extra $10 while I waited, but I didn't see any need for that.

Edited to add the link to the instructions, and also to VapeWorld's instructional video (scroll down).

Weird part about my Arizer EQ now that I'm looking at it from the top - I don't have the stainless steel tubular cover that is suppose to be around the glass heat cover. I'll have to take it apart once I get a new glass heat cover.

Thanks. Don't know where the LHS is in Pittsburgh and since I bought it online will hunt for the cheapest EQ glass heat cover I can find later today. Thanks for the info. I don't know how people search through these threads so fast! Thanks again.

Hi chaps,

finally assembled the adapter and ssv wand and sweet lord on a bouncy cross that does the job. Being in the uk it wasn't as easy as I hoped to get the bits (first two bits of glass seized by customs, one went missing) but i did finally get the adaptor from ebay via one of our american cousins linked earlier in thread.

the reason for the following recommendation is I went to the ebay vendor (here in uk) and bought a normal ssv not the gg. he agreed to swap and I pay diff, no probs but had to wait for him to get new delivery. it has taken a while but then today out of the blue my wand arrived ( i had already sent the original back) at no charge, I am made up but the service so please if you are looking for stuff in uk hit this chap up.

tldr: i am stoned woohoo spread the love

Hey guys

I bought this tubing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271226583214?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

to use with my SSV wand and it has a smell to it, I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not.. the ebay listing states "odorless, tasteless and inert."

Taste seems unaffected.

Is it really nice and flexible, slightly stretchy and easy to move around and bend?
If so, its nice silicone :) And the smell will just be from manufacturing (atleast I hope)
Give it a nice warm water bath before using it anyway

how much did you pay and what length did you get?

The silicone tubing from verdampftnochmal is good, I use it aswell. It is really flexible and a bit stretchy.
If it smells in the beginning, you can also soak it in coconut milk and then rinse it clean, that should help aswell. But mine didn´t stink at all when I got it.
verdampftnochmal offers 18mm to whip adapters too, they are nice aswell.
