Well, it could be argued that if you lived to 92 and NEVER did anything fun, you may have wanted to die at 17 enjoying yourself.

I'm not too sure where I stand on the issue. For the longest time I've thought I was going to die in some accident at 36. I can't explain why I just always get these vivid flashes of something traumatic happening to me. As a kid it was just the number I knew I was going to die at.

I've been trying to get rid of this belief and I've told myself I'm going to live for decades more.

So I was always very introverted but I can say that this belief allowed me to live for a bit. I didn't stick with any drugs I tried or try to keep any poor health habits, but when I tried an unknown drug (later learned it was crack) and I was knocking on this girl's door because I wanted to fuck her, despite not doing things like that ever. I must say it was a fun night. Sad to say I didn't close the deal but did get to see her make out with another girl for my entertainment.

It was also this belief that allowed me to try weed as medicine. I would have stuck with the beliefs that I was raised with (probably) had I not had the mentality of, "I'm going to die at 36."

So really the idea of dying young permits one to do things that they would normally not do. Or to be more daring. Had the 17 year old made it I'm sure he would have felt greatly accomplished. He should have had more flight hours though if he was a newbie pilot.

So tl;dr: Don't knock him down because he was 17. I think it's admirable that someone undertook such a challenge. I don't think we have enough people who do daring things.

I have this idea that most of us are huddled together in groups of cubicles for some rote task that we aren't permitted to do to our fullest abilities because there is always some rule impeding us.

It would be great if you articulated your thoughts @Caligula.

Like your earlier video post could have a headline of, "Whale Killing Protesters Attack Ship."

Or, "MIT releases new sculpting tool," for your second vid. I'm just saying it would make reading this thread easier and I think it's just common courtesy on the internet to provide a subject.

Who sends emails without subjects? :|

The South Park clip was a simple reference to @Madcap79's post containing the lyrics to Bullet With Butterfly Wings . If you listen closely you can hear that song in the background of the clip.

As for the news regarding the sculpting tool... Not sure what to say there my friend. The very brief and concise video is the very definition of self explanatory and the written details are available by simply clicking on the YouTube link embedded into the player. I can play crossing guard and hold people's hands if need be though.

Just give the word. ;)

A condemned Arizona inmate gasped and snorted for more than an hour and a half during his execution Wednesday before he died in an episode sure to add to the scrutiny surrounding the death penalty in the U.S. Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne's office said Joseph Rudolph Wood was pronounced dead at 3:49 p.m., one hour and 57 minutes after the execution started.

Wood's lawyers had filed an emergency appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court while the execution was underway, demanding that it be stopped. The appeal said Wood was "gasping and snorting for more than an hour."

Word that Justice Anthony Kennedy denied the appeal came about a half hour after Wood's death.

Wood, 55, gasped more than 600 times before he died. Defense lawyer Dale Baich called it a botched execution that should have taken 10 minutes.

Family members of the victims said they had no problems with the way the execution was carried out.

"This man conducted a horrific murder and you guys are going, let's worry about the drugs," said Richard Brown. "Why didn't they give him a bullet, why didn't we give him Drano?"

IMO: I'm against the death penalty because it discriminates against the poor and minorities. If you are poor you are at a disadvantage. So the death penalty isn't evenly given. This guy sounds like an animal. I have no sympathy for him, only his victim or should I say victims.

Wow, the death penalty has been getting a lot of coverage lately.

John Middleton died and wrote that they were killing an innocent man as his final statement.

The man was a meth drug dealer and supposedly killed his victims to protect his drug deals, but there was evidence (or so I've read) that said that he was in police custody when one of the murders was taking place.

I think that this should have been enough to halt the execution.

I hope these types of stories put people in a rage. I don't know the numbers but wouldn't removing certain non-violent (liberties!) crimes and focusing instead on only those that are violent offenders permit the prison system to house every (murderer) criminal? Instead of killing them.

I always got the sense that there were a lot of drug people in jails. I think we can let them all loose.

As for murderers yeah I think they should die, but I acknowledge Jesus and am compassionate enough to think, let them serve out a lifetime sentence for murder.

Arguably the latter is worst than the former. But I don't think so. Consciousness can be blissful.

It's part of an Illuminati plot to gain more control over the world economy by denying specific countries access to air travel via global climate engineering. Also pretty sure it's related to vaccines, Monsanto, FEMA death camps, and of course the secret Muslim socialist Nazi, Obama.
