@kingaram I used to have an SSV along with my LSV but ended up selling it. Might have just been my experience but no matter what I did I could never get it to be quite as efficient as the LSV. The taste was also considerably worse through the whip that came with it than with the glass wand that comes with the LSV. I don't use it with water and I much prefer if to the SSV. Might want to look into a log vape like Boulderado suggested if you don't plan on using water though.

just want to add, although you might not plan on using water, you will eventually try and probably will really like it.thats how it went for me.tried the lsv with a whip (ssv style) and prefer the glasswand tastewise

Ive noticed many asking how people pack up there vapes and such without needing to hold it upside down to hit it. Idk if this has been mentioned anywhere else but all I do is fill the standard glass wand as much as I like for the session ( depends on amt of ppl) , then use the glass ball on the end of the stirring pick included and tamp/smush/press the buds down a tad. Stir in between every hit or 2 and tamp down after stirring. I never have bud fall out. Just invert when removing wand and any lil crumbs that fell will return to the wands bowl.

There are some variables to consider like dryness/moistness of bud, grind consistency and stickyness.

I disagree respectfully, just adjust how hard you tamp it down according to the buds characteristics. Ive ran alottttt of different buds through this vape and used the same technique everytime without fail :)

So excited to join this group. Just placed my order for a custom red/silver LSV straight from 7th Floor last night and it should be shipping tonight or tomorrow

I'm expecting big things as I was fairly disappointed by the limitations of the DV Ascent!

once you learn how to use it properly you will love it!

Sigh, it shipped out via 1-day Express priority mail on Wednesday with a scheduled delivery of 12PM today (Thursday) - and the tracking information hasn't updated since leaving the sorting facility in Colorado on Wed night. Really pisses me off when USPS flat out does not care about their obligations to match their delivery promises.

I know, so I've already asked 7th Floor to refund me my shipping cost because they can get theirs refunded from USPS as well. I would've rather just had my unit in hand today though, I was really disappointed when I got home today :(

Are you rural? Because if so they get an extra day.

If you're rural and remote, they get two extra days.

Couldn't be further from the truth haha, I stay in LA/NYC and am currently at my NYC address. It's actually unbelievable how unreliable USPS is here - I never once had a problem with them in LA, but this is the 3rd or 4th incident I've had with USPS already this year in New York. A few months ago a package addressed to me stopped getting its tracking updated, and it fell off the face of the earth for almost a full month before being randomly delivered to me. The employees at my local post offices do not give a single f*** either, which does not help at all.

Got mine in!! Going through some test runs right now to find out its nuances... how much do you guys like to pack at once? I've been going about halfway up the ground glass joint of the glass transfer and its been hitting nicely.

Hi lsv owners
Im new to this thread and also the forum.
Ive just pulled the trigger on an lsv and am waiting for delivery direct from 7th floor to uk.
Ive sold my ssv for it and hope ive made the right decision. The clear tube of the ssv had to go when I saw all glass vapor path of the lsv. And also the look of the whole thing!!!
Ive bought it with the long transfer wand and the whip kit. The whip comes with a coloured hose so I wont have to look at the yellow of the hose, the whip kit is more for friends and newbs and the glass transfer wand is for me and my girlfriend. I havnt bought a bubbler/bong yet so dont know what size wpa I need.
Short long 14 or 18mm.
Just wondered if there were any ex ssv owners that have jumped ship to the lsv and what they think. Any lsv owners that use it just with the long transfer wand?
And any ideas of where to get a good but cheap glass bubbler/bong in the uk for the lsv. Ive googled them and you can spend hundreds. I would like a good starter bubbler just to test if water filtration is for me.

Any tips or websites to find one would be appreciated.

Welcome the UK LSV owners club, we'll have this place colonised in no time. (I had a look but I can't find a British Flag or Redcoat smiley, that's strange isn't it?)

If you go back though the last few pages of the thread you'll see a bit of discussion regarding the WPAs. I think you'll see that most people agree the short WPA is the way to go since it holds the load a bit closer to the screen. Some people prefer to use 18mm-18mm adapters, personally I can see the merits of both.

If you want cheap then it's probably best to go with a Chinese bubbler from DHGate and after if you want to get a more expensive piece down the line then you'll probably have a better idea of what you want. The most popular sellers on DHGate that offer reasonable prices on their shipping to the UK are Kathy and SunshineStore (Just click on the names for the links).

A quick note: Kathy kind of combines her price with the shipping a bit but if you look at the totals then you'll see that their stuff mostly comes out to a similar price/value point.

Luckily some of the popular Chinese bubblers come with 18-18mm adapters so with a bit of finessing you should be able to place a screen in there so you'd effectively have a spare WPA. I used quite a large screen so I could put a curve in it (making it concave) to stop it flipping round.

These are the ones I was thinking of:

D020: http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/d020-bubbler-hand-blown-glass-vase-perc-water/175832535.html

D020-D: http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/d020-d-bubbler-hand-blown-glass-water-percolator/187214099.html

You'll see from the pictures that the second one I linked has slightly more volume and each slit it split into two so in theory it'll give a bit more diffusion.

I would suggest that you have a good look through both the sellers that I linked and if anything catches your eye then you can ask the guys in the Cheap Bubbler Thread since they're familiar with most of the stuff on there. I would suggest that you have a look back though the last few pages of that thread before asking questions because some folks can get understandably annoyed with people asking questions that were answered only a few pages back. Also you may find links to some of the other newer sellers and peoples opinions/experiences with them.

I use the LSV with the transfer wand only.
While I use the long wand when anyone else iss with me, as they seem to prefer it...
I use the shorty myself when alone.
While I had my SSV first, I would not say I jumped ship.
I used the LSV more for the first month, then slowly one day found that I had not used it in a while.
I had unconsciously slipped back into using the SSV more.
Now I purposely rotate it into my routine.
Short wand all the way.
