I did 2 runs today. First, Jack Herer 14 g yield 4.6 a BEFORE purge. Second, even mix 3.5g of each Jack-and-Sour Purple Diesel yield 2.4g BEFORE purge. I will post finished product pics later. Here's work in progress round one.

I have one of those but it takes too long to heat up my Pyrex chamber.:shrug::lmao:
I actually dont like how the ss chamber seats with the lid and literally just use a diffrent cook pot. its ss an Ti got stainless steel titanuim cacuum chamber... but it didn't work on induction... fortuna smiles since it fits almost perfect (little to big for it) complementary skillet. have to run it a little hot cause the air void... but I figure a little sand or aquarium gravel and itll sit still.

@DieHard you could do the same... get a cookpot that will hold a chamber that fits your lid and just backfill the airvoids with sand to even the heat.

do you run on parchment? and do you buy your circles pre cut? I saw some on ebay... sweet nectar!

I only vac on parchment. I run direct into Pyrex. I cut the circle because my OCD would not allow the square peg in a round hole. The infuser plate sounds like the best thing for me. However, not for extraction purposes. I am pretty happy with my temperature control. It is spot on. I have a lot of quality cookware that won't work on the nuWave.:dog:

farscaper...you know you can get an adapter for your inductor cooktop that will transfer heat. This way you avoid the air gap and don't have to run your cooktop as high.

as high as what? low? cause the way its setting its on the lowest it can go (100°f) and inside on the bottom of the vacuum its a perfect 95° so id say the 5 degree offset is working in my favor actually. and the pan was free.

@DieHard im waiting with bated breathe for a Kleen extract capital comparison. your stuff looks nice so im sure im not the only one waiting to value your opinion!

I thought it was implied you had to run it hotter than you may need to, hence my suggestion. My apologies.

I too look forward to hearing about the Kleen Extract...in the mean time I'll slowly go through 91 and then maybe Grainger for the 99, or the Kleen depending upon results.

damn this internet for its misrepresentation of my sarcasm!

I actually ment to share my astonishment that after spme testing it really doesnt impeed the heat exchange much at all.

I had suspected there would be more dissipation but to my suprise this thing is extremely efficient!

sorry if it seemed I was being rude. contrary, I was suprised i wasnt going to have to turn it up more.

No no, I didn't take it like that so don't worry...I misinterpreted lol. That's good news that it hasn't lost too much efficiency. I have found with the cooktop I use, it is a little difficult keeping it right at 100-110*F...the temp ranges go up in 40* increments with the lowest setting being 140*. At 140, it maintains at the dish about 90-100, at 180 it jumps up between 115 and 125 at the plate, so it's been a little tricky (pyrex pie plate on top of pot of water). I'm thinking I should have forked out the few hundred for a more precise induction cooktop. I bet I'm leaving it on a little too long as my yields have been a little low for my liking....quality is ok (color is ok, quality very good)...maybe it's the difference between 91 and 99 ISO?

I'll answer my own question...it can't be the difference between 91 and 99, it's me! I only started doing this so I know my tek needs refinement but I will continue to try!

Hey guys ... been scraping pyrex for little over a year now. I tried out the old style slick sheet from oil slick early on and liked the idea but hated the fact that the sheet was woven strands of PTFE allowing the super viscous butane and resin mixture of a fresh blast to soak through the sheet. When I heard they changed the design from woven to a solid sheet of PTFE I ordered another roll and was able to do a run last night using it and so far so good. I was able to reclaim every last bit of my run and while the sheet isn't as non-stick as it's silicone brother it's still much easier to work with than having to scrape imo.

Edit: reclaiming your run from the sheet is easiest after a short vac session.

I pull full vac at sea level. ( pass 30 on the gauge). After about 2 hours I raise the temperature 5 degrees and lower the vac to 25". Later in the purge I will continue to lower vac in small increments. Also flipping the goods hourly is helpful.

in my skunkpharm research as well as observations the higher temps also inhibit how deeply vacuum will go.

edit: does anyone run the vac on a batch any times before they collect?

I have a pyrex pie plate that fits into my vac chamber and have done full purges on it a few times and just an initial vac session before scraping too. The further the oil is purged the harder it is to scrape but a little heat helps that out.

I still think that ultimately greywolf recommended pure r600...

although ronson tested lowest... I seem to recall that capital still has the highest N to ISO ratio... but I think they also still recommended lucienne....

anyway... I have a thought and recent experience dictates its potential reality...

cool boil vacuum decarboxylation.

I noticed if winterized shatter is left under vacuum 28hg at around 73°f it will begin to decarb itself...

any thoughts?
