i ordered some 1.25-1.5 ohm donuts from fat daddys and they vape shatter very well and taste great. trouble is keeping the oil on the ceramic. it tends to run/drip off.

DTs donut atty design seems to keep the oil in a nice spot to be vaped. i would love to try one.

I have only seen Fat Daddy and you mentioned here. From my extremely lazy and basic google search, everyone seems to be linking straight to Fat Daddy.

I mean, that is all I want in a vape. I want it to be easy to clean and I want it to keep working.

me too, here is a quote from the movie Shawshank Redemption that reminds me of what is going on .. "Geology is the study of pressure and time. That's all it takes really, pressure, and time"

This vape we speak of is going to happen.. i feel the pressure now all we need is a little time , haha

it's that ceramic cup right under the donut that catches the wax and keeps it very close to the donut still (both sides of that donut get red hot) so it can be vaped as well.

Ok. Finally got this atomizer today.

I am impressed. First off, it does not run on my itaste vv v3 on voltage above 3.8V.

It runs fine on the standard ego 1200mah battery that came with my divinetribe globe pen I had purchased from them on their ebay store.

taste of the atomizer is great, its very comparable to the Ti coil and ceramic wick KISS from uptech.

The cart has 3 parts.

Mouth piece (came with option of both swivel and straight)
Splash guard
Atomizer

The swivel mouth piece came with a fair amount of tape-glue stuck to it and had to be clean thoroughly. The straight mouth peice came attached to the cart.

I like the separate splash guard part to keep the wax from moving. You can pop in a dab, throw it in your pocket without melting it (preserving flavour) and prevents pocket lint from going in too.
I dont like the size of the section of the cart. it is about 2cm, and could be 0.5cm. It seems to be comprised of 2 pieces but I have been unable to separate the 2, which is not great.

the cart is big. the atomizer piece itself is quite large, and i dont really like that part of it. the first 1.5cm is just a big metal dish, which is ok, then the cup with donut atomizer, which is about 0.5cm. next, a major concern, is a mystery 2cm which you cant see below, whatever is down there is unknown. that is where the KISS cart wins. UPtech can take them apart and rebuild them, you can plainly see what parts are used, and the atomizer is a fair bit more compact, and basically has nothing below the ceramic cup (0.5cm compared to 2cm) in comparison.

Overall first impressions are good, and I will use it more and report back.

An old man, but still in the game.
I have been using the doughnut for a couple weeks now (4g Refine Seattle/x_tracted) I also run it with an X6 and have had good luck with a Spinner backup. The taste is the purest I have found and it's been getting used everyday/all day. I prefer the taste of my meds over blowing big clouds. So far a great atty but it does get hot. Rotating the vape when it's hot produces some powerful hits.
The Spinner also seems to be better for maintaining the atty. I pulse it at 4.3 upside down and drain out the reclaim. I still have not figured out if the "saturation effect" is due to overloading or just too much use. Either way, upside down for a couple of minutes and it's fine.
I'm kinda bummed my atty does not have the cool engraving but I was elated to get one. Keep up the great work.

I'm in the Dominican Republic doing volunteer work until the end of July, but I definitely see a divine tribe oil pen for myself in the near future!

The atty for my Micro G burnt out right before I left for the DR, but I wasn't overly impressed with it's performance; the upgrade in taste and performance will be much appreciated.

Finally I ordered a Donut kit (atty+vvbattery), I'll tell you how it works....

....even if I don't really like the design! I prefer the simpler design of the dabbler or KISS cart but I'm really curious about how it performs...

I was really near to buy a combo Persei+sr-74 (the must I think) but I would like a more simple device, cheaper and I don't use enough oil to justify a so high end device (especially for on the go).

So I jumped on the donut atty cause this technology seems promising!

Now I just need to wait that it cross the seas.....

I would suggest using the donuts for what they were meant for...:2c:...unless you fancy yourself an electronic smoke device...

I am on the move for the moment, so i do not have an address I could ship things too, otherwise I would have jumped on board too, but am looking forward to hearing/seeing more experiences with these donuts from fellow members

Placed an order last Thursday evening and this afternoon my donut atomizer was in my mail box in central Canada. Haven't really seen my donut get red hot, but I have been getting some really nice hits. Definitely much tastier than the globe atomizers with wicks from fasttech I had used prior. I was also pleasantly surprised by the size of the atomizer. I thought it might be a bit wider from pics I had seen. Assuming this holds up for a while I am pretty pleased with my purchase.

Just got 2 dual coils and 2 skillets from ineedhemp ....
The duals short out both my batteries, my ego v3 and my Spinner II, both multi-voltage.
The skillets do not get hot enough to properly burn even at high voltages.
Was excited to get them, bummed to see them not work.
I suspect the ohms are too low for my batteries, and any battery with low ohm protection modules, I assume. Not sure though.

around hown much shatter can be loaded at one time in the ceramic donut atty? id like to be able to load a decent .25g max at a time more than that im not concerned about. but a decent running around without a reload is what I want and this is my price range... just not super keen on the battery with the kit... @divinetribe or anyone else who has an opinion maybe there is another battery handle you could suggest at might be a touch more upgrade?

thanks!

Pretty sure divinetribe claimed you could load up to .25g at a time earlier in the thread, though I have yet to attempt loading nearly that much. I have been using ego twist variable voltage 900mah batteries and they seem to be working fine. I do have a similar battery to the one in the kit on the way from fasttech though and should be here this week sometime.

Edit: just loaded about .2 in the atty. 0.25 would probably be doable but might be pushing it. Plus side the atty is pretty easy to load so doing it while out and about wouldn't be much trouble.

Have found that once it starts to seem empty that if you take a hit while holding it upside down you get some new big rips. Pretty good.

Most batteries have protection circuits on them. but now with these new coils that get hotter things are changing, I am on the hunt for batteries that don't have protection circuits in them and will be phasing out the ones in stock that i have been carrying for over a year now, I have these new mods that I will put some pictures up here on FC tomorrow, these fire the donuts and the duals too,, this mod is a telescopic 6-14watts and 3-6v and will fire sub ohm mods. it also has a ohm reader, I will offer 18650 & 18350 efest and sony batteries both high drain. I noticed the more i load in any atomizer the poorer tastes and flavors i get, imagine taking a tenth hit off a pipe that all your friend's hit first. Not good!
why not pack fresh hits .? it's nice to pack and go but once the wax is brought to a certain temp it changes chemically with each hit. say you pack a gram(which would be a huge dab load) , the first hit you would get the terpenes from the entire gram and the second would be something else and with each hit you will get different flavors all getting worse. it's like turning the gram into residual resin and smoking a 1 gram resin ball until it is finished.

Hi, I received my package from DT yesterday, I ordered a Donut kit (atty +battery) and a dual ceramic coil (thanks to DT for the extra dual coil!).
I'm a bit disappointed about donut atty performances, it don't produces large clouds, taste is decent but not more (I use it on higher voltage on the battery), do you think the issue is coming from the battery (not enough power...)?
Design is too big imo, I really prefer design and performances of my Dabbler!

The dual ceramic coil is really better, it produces very large clouds with a 3.7v ego battery and enormous clouds with the VV battery provided with the donut, size and design are smaller and more simple than the donut atty (dual ceramin coil looks like a silver Dabbler atty or DrDabber).

I stay tuned about a better VVbattery, DT tell me if you are able to provide us a better VV battery? I think not but do you think my TV evo battery tube (6v, 30W) can handle the donut at max performances without kill it?

I know some people are using the donut cart with an Ego Twist, but I'm dubious it has the power to drive it. To get the best results on that platform, you'll have to start on the lowest setting, and crank up the voltage progressively as the donut heats up.

The MVP with its variable wattage circuitry is an easier way to achieve the same result.

If you have a fixed voltage Ego, it is not going to get that donut nice and hot. Most fixed voltage Ego's are 3.3v not 3.7v, you can check yours with a voltmeter.

I picked up the whole kit with the DT VV battery with 3 settings (red: 3.2v, pink: 3.7v, blue: 4.2v), I remenber DT posted this voltages about the battery, I think it's not enough, especially if you tell me a ego-twist don't work even if it can run at 4.8v....

What's the MVP?

The twist will do good at max voltage when the donut is hot, but not when its cold. The innokin MVP 2.0 is a $40 device that is ugly as sin, but IMO works great with the donut. Set it to 11W and it will ramp up the voltage progressively for you.

Try ramping up the DT battery progressively and let us know how it goes.

Dangus

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
After about a week or so with the donut with the x6 setup I have to say I'm pretty pleased. Not sure why the folks above me are having issues with cloudsize etc, but I've been pulling some pretty large hits. Just as good if not better than the Kiss carts in my opinion. THe folks that I've sessioned with that have tried both agree.

I like that it can cleanly vape a nice size dab in just a few hits. Seems I can completely vape the same amount in just 2 or 3 hits, vs 6 or so with the kiss cart. The inside of the cart is staying pretty clean as well, considering I'm used to most carts becoming stained/dark over time.

The x6 battery is a tad large, as is the atomizer, but I don't find it to be much of an issue. My brother-in-law rocks the MVP, so I'll see how the performance is with that device...funny that @215z states they are ugly as sin, as I think they are pretty cool...and seem more durable than a traditional pen in terms of pocketability...different strokes.

I'm going to keep at it....so far so good. Put the Kiss cart on the shelve for a backup for now...

Cheers

My experience is different, I'm able now to get larger clouds now but not like my Dabbler, it's a nice vape to load with larger amount and you can get many rips, with my Dabbler I get less hits and they are bigger, with the donut I get more hits but a bit smaller. taste is decent if you heat your load slowly, I start at the cooler level and I push the voltage up every 2 or 3 hits, I can get 8-10 hits with a + or - 0.1g load.

I don't like the design, too big, not really stealth in term of size and color and it need a bit of silicone tubing to be used with a watertool (mp don't fit 18 and 14mm joint).

Actually my oils are a bit sticky and it's a pia to load it, the Dabbler and the DT double ceranic coil atty are a lot easier to load with sticker oils.
