Yeah I'm holding off till I see independent reviews. They don't even publish dimensions on their website?

def looks cool, im getting one anyway, what the heck, it looks like ego to me....and in the video he DOES say that if you have a "special mod or even just a regular joyetech ego..." I think i heard him say that, id go back but my net sukes and vids take a long time to load.

Any one want to check that out>

@530rasta I thought it looked ego... but I dont wanna be wrong in speculation.

im really digging the aero mini too.... I may gi with that... but I saw an evod kit and apparently evods have a pyrex option now... they were a breeze to use... but how necessary is vv when using the liquidizer juice? I just want to get my oil loose enough to work in a tank... not fully juice it.

@2clicker I got the impression that you have used a kangertech protank of some sort with strait shatter am I correct or mistaken?

i have, but it was load as you go. just like an RDA. i have never dropped shatter into the tank hoping that it would get hot enough to liquify and make it to the coil/wick. i would unscrew the tank, load the coil, replace tank and rip it. ever since creating the diamondback coil i have discontinued the use of kanger tanks for solid oil.

i use a mini aerotank for ejmixed juice. the aerotank is all SS and glass. all of the other protanks are plated brass. just adding this because i saw some talk about kanger build materials earlier that were never addressed.

thank you sensei!

I figure that my rigs work for strait oil better than anything... so im gonna just shoot to play with juice in pens.

I think I like the aero mini with a good old joytec ego-c twist 900mah or something cheap...

{START RANT} Dunno why people get freaked out over various types of glass, plated metals etc. There's such a thing as dosage, or SIZE. Avalanches are bad, you might die from big boulders, same material as grains of sand, but not equally dangerous. You will drown in open waters, but a glass of water is fine. One pill can be nice, 100 not so good. People hear that some forms of chromium are toxic, so anything chrome-plated becomes a threat? There are traces of lead in brass, so the vastness of lead under that shiny layer of suspect chrome on a drip tip is just waiting to leach out and poison ya? Come on. Are people grinding these devices into breakfast cereal or just eating them whole? Why are we are losing common sense? {/END RANT}

Just got a couple of interesting plug-ins for the "vaped globe" today. Thank you, e-bay. The one on the right is a lot like the insert photo, silica wick - but with a screen. About 2.1 ohms. I was thinking it might toast some breakfast kieff or H2O granular bubble. The one on the left is apparently made by AAC, an outfit that makes silencers. The coil is about 1.4 ohms. With some sort of glass or ceramic dish over the spiral it might simmer and vaporize oils nicely. Anybody have better ideas?

Did you know people buy "tactical pens" that are black and evil-looking and are marketed as a "self-defense weapon". Tactically poke 'em in the eye?

@farscaper, I like SS for some things, silver, gold, brass are ok too. Not attacking you. I was just commenting on how we're bombarded with toxicity scares with no point of reference. People take mega doses of "natural" vitamins that can do damage, but are afraid of plastic plumbing. The info is scrambled. The same way the old folks actually believe cannabis is toxic like meth.

its not so much the materials used, its the fact they all come from china that really scares me.

i know plastics and metals can be safe, but they can also be made out of cheap shit and sold as safe too...

imho

the fact im getting some sapphires and a battery for road medicating should show that i will use china stuff, but it would never be my main mode of medicine, quite the opposite in fact. If the Magnavape pro killer works well i could see it being used often, however, its awkward size leaves something to be desired in the stealth/aesthetic category.

the dose makes the poison, they say, or something like that. some of us vape a lot, really a whole lot, all day everyday.

For us is worth being discriminating esspecially if the difference costs us only a few bucks.

Is there a set up you would recommend?

in terms of cart and battery ect?

thanks

i hear what you are saying, but why not opt for the SS if it is available? the plating on one of my old kanger tanks has starting chipping off. SS will not do this. im not worried about what will happen if i use it. i just dont like the way it looks.

its a piece of mind thing for others...?

@2clicker that was the point I was trying to convey... although as usual I did an unclear job of it lol.

I like billet stuff. plating never seems to stay put with me... I guess im hard on metals...

im still suprised no one has started using quartz wicks.

or I just havnt been "in the know" about it...

seems like the ceramic thing took off and EVERYONE is sucking that pipe.

nails, dabbers, caps, donuts, rods, mother fucking entire vapes!

but why doent anyone use quartz strand fiber wicks for oil?

hell... people even complain about how glass and quartz dabbers wick oil up them...

so am I crazy? Is this a new idea? or am I just too new to ecigs to know it doesnt work?

lemmie see if I can find a link to what I mean.

like this sorta...

i am unfamiliar with quartz wick material. the only glass wick i was aware of is silica.

ill have to check those links out later.

id be willing to pay or help pay for a few tech heads to develop a cart that was just a ceramic bowl...

Im sure if we had enough money and enough brain power in one place, it would be just a matter of;

"ok we want a safe, medical grade part, stealthy portable way to vaporize essential oils. It need to fit onto a 510 thread. No shitty metal, NO LEAKS ect"

i wonder how much money and time it owuld take before you had a proto type that was easily mass produced?

anyone want to start a vape company lol

@2clicker I want to try using straight concentrate in the Kanger, like you used to. How do I fit it in there? I can't use my needle tip bottle with straight concentrate. Thanks
VYDvSxWu6BHH.jpg

@530rasta all stainless/glass atomizers: Kanger Aerotank mini/mega ($30), YiLoong Fogger v4 ($30), EHPro Kayfun Lite Plus v2 ($35). The Aerotank and Fogger have non-threaded glass tanks, the KFL+ has a threaded SS tank. My dream is a threaded glass tank, but apparently the tooling for that is way expensive. I personally like the threaded tanks, when screwed in tight it is VERY reassuring. The non-threaded tank sections are held by pressure and O-rings, who knows when they will lose their shape (and therefore seal).

The Fogger and KFL have tall decks, which poses its own wicking challenges (with respect to really really thick errl), but is more forgiving than the Aerotank when it comes to flooding/gurgling/leaking. The Aerotank atty literally sits in the bottom of the tank, so there is no buffer during temp/pressure changes.

As for a ceramic cup atty, the basic problem is getting electricity and air into the cup. The Kiss cart has a ceramic bowl, but its three holes are on a pretty low ledge. So there is pretty little space for errl to accumulate before dripping below. (not a problem when used as intended with a wick) The Odysseus in drip mode has the same damn airhole at the bottom, without a ledge even, but the electrodes run down from the rim of the cup. This china skillet has a nice tall airhole, but the electrode holes are still on the bottom.
ego-t-ceramic-wick-atomizer-stainless-steel.jpg
My ideal atty would look like a "castle" nail, with some way to run the electrode up and around the rim ala Odysseus. Or better yet, if I can somehow use induction to power a vapin donut sitting at the bottom of the castle nail.

@farscaper, our very own @jdee has demonstrated the solid quartz rod as a wick, and its freaking impressive
sVrKENf.jpg

My concerns about inhaling silica fibers when hitting a dry wick is greater with woven/braided quartz than even woven/braided glass. For all the silica-wick-scaremongering I do here, its the <10micron crystalline that is proven to fuck you up. Amorphous (glass) fibers scare me but I don't actually have factual basis to back me up. The ceramic fibers are too large to cause silicosis or mesothelioma, which is why I endorse Nextel braided wick.

yup... it was the first thing that popped into mind with quartz fibers...

thats why I went looking for the tube and rod ideas.

You guys help me out! Where would I find a short hollow quartz or ceramic pipe I can slide into the donut hole, acting as a riser/snorkel for that air hole in the middle of the cup? The setup would make for a cheap electronic ceramic castle nail.

well i created a thread about it here, but i have removed the pics from the host site so they are gone. i did so because after getting used to my igo-w i have stopped using kanger tanks for "dabs". honestly after discovering the sleeved stove top coil everything else is just sitting around. that coil, i have put about 3g through it and there is not one drop on the deck. there is a slight film on the deck from vapor condensing on it, but nothing like what used to pool down there. the snake (or whatever we should call it) coil is very efficient and vapes away almost all of the dab. i used to scrape up reclaim from the deck every other day or so. now its been 3g and i couldnt scrape a dab if i tried. i cant say enough good things about this coil. i dont have much reason to try other coils/wicks at this point other than experimenting for fun. all of the negatives i had with previous coil/wick set ups are gone. the only reason switching would be a good idea is if the new wick was readily available. one of readyXwicks negatives is that you have to buy it from RBAsupplies... of which isnt bad. their service is great, but say you need it right now...?

if you really wanna use your kanger then take you coil, screw it in, then pull off the top part of it that you hold when you screw it in. this will expose the coil and wick. then simply load onto the coil itself. from the looks of your pic, you need to screw the tank back together and then unscrew it from the base. looks like you still have the bottom section of the tank screwed onto the base. which will cover the coil... if im seeing it correctly. sorry my pics are gone. i could take another and post it in the other thread or shoot it your way.
