Is the vaping high, the sativa high ( no cbd ) ?

Ya , grew up in the same era .
They showed us reefer madness and that VD movie in Sex ED .
iirc , I think it had Mickey Rooney in it ... but it was a long time ago .
I want to see the new reefer madness too , it looks like a satire/spoof
of the original . Which could be quite enjoyable to watch while vaping .

I think Reefer Madness is safely viewed as a satire film now a days.

No one I have met took it seriously. Although those that have heard of it were rarely non-stoners.

So it's safe to say his wants of a reefer madness remake won't destroy the entire movement. :)

Who knows it could be comedy gold.

I think FCer Molecular was referring to a previous post, not Refer Madness, we're just having some fun. Refer Madness (the 1939 version) insinuates that if you smoke a joint you go right to shooting up with Heroin. I need to see that medicated, haven't seen it since the 6th grade.

comparing marijuana's effects to the effects of harder drugs is really not wise. We are trying to improve the way people view marijuana.

The comparison is needed to differentiate MJ from harder drugs . We need to educate people that MJ is Not the same as harder drugs . And therefore
removed from the same list of Subjected Drugs as Cocaine, meth ...etc .

but , I'm not sure who you were implying of doing that ? :peace:

Yeah it kinda does, but I truly mean it, these are class A threads and I fully support them, so great.

All I have to say after reading this thread is that if your weed is causing hallucinations, I recommend to stop smoking that weed ASAP, weed isn't hallucinogenic in the least. Hallucinogens refers to psychedelics, dissociatives, and deliriants. You know...mushrooms, LSD, acid, stuff that induces visions or completely altered states of consciousness.

This is totally wrong. While it's true that weed is not as strong of an hallucinogen as LSD, Psilocybin and Mescaline, it is STILL a hallucinogen. Some strains, such as White Widow, exhibit this more than other strains.

Believe me, I'm coming from LOTS of experience here with psychedelics as well as cannabis and cannabis can definitely have psychedelic properties, but again, to a much lesser extent than the hallucinogens mentioned above.

My point still stands - you don't hallucinate on weed. The psychedelic properties in weed are extremely mild, and virtually non-existent compared to any drug that is commonly considered a psychedelic.

Please don't tell me what I can hallucinate on and what I can't hallucinate on. Only I know that..........you don't.

I'm really reluctant to go into my long time experience (over 45 years) with hallucinogenic drugs, as the long standing members here already know my history, but if I must........I will.

I am more curious then anything, did any strain actually make you see see something? Like an actual hallucination? Kinda interested, did not know it was possible is all.

Ok.........I'll explain.

Back in the late 60's, early 70's, a close circle of friends and I got our acid directly from Owsley Labs. Super pure. It was a pink liquid that came in a little glass vial that we would dip a pin in and lick off. Not very accurate dosing to say the least, but it was unadulterated. I would NEVER drop any of the acid that is available today. Later, when Owsley was no longer available, we would get window pane from a chemist that we knew. There was a period between 1968 to 1977 where I dropped acid almost every other weekend. Must have dropped acid over 200 times.

Also, took synthetic mescaline as well as psyilocybin through shrooms. Must have done those over 50 times. Ate Peyote buttons over 10 different times (only reason I didn't do more is they made me really nauseous). Of course, I only did this on non-working weekends. During the week, did a lot coke (a few grams a week), some speed (pill form), qualudes, seconals, etc etc. I was a real drug garbage disposal. Oh...........smoked a joint on my way from work every day. Did all this for most of a decade.

So here's the deal regarding hallucinations. I never once saw something that wasn't there, nor did anyone else around me. What we did see were things that WERE there, like stationary things such as trees but they would begin to move and morph into some pretty bizarre things like strange faces and such. Kinda like seeing animals in the clouds. I could get lost in tile floors as they began to move much like you would see in a kaleidoscope. Or sidewalks moving in waves like the ocean. Or seeing faces in a textured wall or that same wall moving as if it were breathing.

Hope that kinda explains the hallucinations as I experienced them.

With a strain such as White Widow, I can get the same kind of things going on, but to a MUCH lesser degree, but they happen nonetheless. And even with other strains, the moving images that I can see in GREAT clarity on the back of my eyelids are super clear and vivid. So clear because I'm not really using my eyes to see these things, but rather just my brain creating them. And these are not just swirls of kalidascopic light that I can see if I'm straight, but rather very clear images of very intricate faces, and buildings and plants and flowers as I am very slowly flying over them..............kinda like scuba diving over a really interesting reef. The extreme detail is just amazing. There is no way in hell that I can see these things when I'm not vaped. Now granted, this does not happen all the time, but it does happen and I have to be REALLY vaped to see those eyelid shows.

Anyway, that's my experience of it all.

Could these, in fact, be acid flashbacks brought on by weed. Yup...........sure could. All I can do is relay my experiences.

So when someone tells me that I can't hallucinate on weed, I say..............bullshit. :brow:

So its more of a perspective or tricks on the eyes instead of full on crazy seeing things? I can see that, I mean lines and shapes can go funny or stuff feel off, never thought of that as a hallucination is all.

Not like this or anything haha.

Funny you say that I have heard weed can bring on acid flashbacks before....not sure where.

Ya know, not only I have I been high a lot but I've been around a lot of friends who were just as high as I was and none of us actually saw anything that wasn't there. We just saw things that WERE there but those things took on different shapes and movements.

So yeah, it's more of just a different perspective rather than creating something that is totally not there..............other than those really nice shows that I can get on my eyelids. Those can be really neat and all it takes is some really good weed.

Just an aside though, the only recreational drug that I do now is weed. Haven't done those true psychedelics in over 35 years.

Yeah that's pretty much it, weed does change perspectives and such, makes more sense now that its explained because I didn't think fully seeing things not there would happen with just herb.

:)

You can have an out of body experience by just manipulating your breath.
Is it a hallucination, remote viewing, lucid dreaming or flying without an airplane?
Not necessarily, consciousness is vastly uncharted and limitations are mostly self implemented.

I tend to think that consciousness can exist in multiple places at the same time, but I am getting far off topic.

I believe(personal opinion not fact) that the hallucinations Iwien and other have experienced was caused by a filter in the percieved wavelengths(caused by hallucinogenic substances). Our body being adaptive as it is, attempts to cope with the sudden alteration in perception by filling in the details with known information. However since you are doped up, the information applied is never stable(always shifting) and can vary depending on person(personal knowledge and personality).

I have not gotten into or tried remote viewing, not something I am interested in.

Lucid dreaming can be attained through regular practice.

I say we can fly without airplanes, but have yet to rediscover the method.

Dabs are vapor too!
I've gone completely to dabbing, because it gives me a more relaxing high. I've only tried 2 strains so far, but they affect me similarly. I have been wondering if this is because concentrates are completely consumed by the higher temps at which dabbing occurs. Maybe more cbd/cbn is vaporized by dabbing than lower temp vaping?
