Cheap High Quality Bubbler

How big of a difference do bubblers like the d020 make? Do they really cool and moisten the vapor THAT much? Does it really feel that much better, less harsh, and smoother?
Well ya gotta use something. No Papers cuz no combustion. Stems can get hot. What to do, what to do? Ah yes! pipe it though some water that should cool and perhaps moisten. Better, less harsh and smoother are all personal interpretations.

So my D020-T + honeycomb AC from sunshine store have been working well enough with my LSV that I decided to hang on to them and hold off on a j hook for now.

However, I recently got an Underdog and haven't had as consistent results using its 18mm Nong with this set up (though i do get some nice enough hits). I might have better luck with the more regular 14mm gong short stem, but I won't have a reducer to try it until next weekend I think.

Anyway, I was thinking maybe an inline could help a lot in general, and also could be nice to get back to just one bubbler (without an AC), so I was wondering if anyone who has the honeycomb inline from Kathy could chime in about it?

Specifically if you also have a D020-T and/or the honeycomb ashcatch from sunshine, and an Underdog or other log maybe, to see if I'd notice much of a difference with this honeycomb/inline and if its worth another $42. Also a little curious on difference in shipping time or quality from sunshine store since that's all I've used otherwise.

Thanks again guys!

What do all think of Yingmin5's newest piece?

The GB-002-1

Too bad he wants $62.50 for it and it has no bent neck, :\
I have never been a fan of inverted trees.

Anyone wondering about how it functions check out sprinkler perc by jm flow. It is similar

Well, that is certainly nicer looking, and good production quality doesn't hurt either. :)

Truth is, we need a water test. "Should look like this" will never beat "It looks like this". :)

And may I add, THAT is a nice looking piece if you are into the straight pipe thing.

If that were actually the case it would be a good question, but that piece has been mentioned several times.

i've seen it mentioned, but i didn't see any review and search doesn't help. perhaps your post would be less fluffy and more meaningful if you could provide a review link.

I am not sure why this piece gets no love. I have seen it mentioned but no actual reviews. I think it looks sweet and ordered the blue trim version several days ago
please let us know how it is.

I own this bubbler, and it's my favorite of my new Chinese acquisitions.

My piece is really well made, all the welds are good, I found no bubbles in the glass and there is only one small scratch near the base. Keep in mind quality varies from piece to piece though.
I got it in transparent (I requested this in the order's comment, but I might have been lucky).

I use it mainly with my Solo, and I keep the water level at the bottom of the honeycomb disk (initially with a little air bubble trapped under the HC).
While clearing it there is nearly no restriction and the bubbles stack well without water hitting my mouth.
While pulling through the Solo, the restriction seems to only come from the Solo itself.

Regarding Sunshinestore versus Kathy, I got an order from SS in a total of 4 days, but it was when he add no cheap shipping options for outside of the US, so it was shipped Express.
With Kathy it took 4 weeks from ordering it to having it in my hands, but shipping was free and that's a time I'm used to when ordering things from China with free shipping.
Kathy did took a few more days to process the order though (about 4-5 days while I got a tracking number the day after I placed the order with SS).

Also I updated my signature with the pieces I now own. I think most have been covered before, but if anyone has a question regarding one of them, feel free to ask.

Edit: I have this honeycomb ashcatcher, not sure if it's the same as the one from SS, but while it hits well (I use it mainly with a J-Hook, still haven't tried it attached to a bubbler), I definitely enjoy the inline to HC bubbler more.

Edit 2: also check this and the few posts that follow, there should be a few comments about this piece.

Can't wait to see a function video.

I'm glad to see that his work is as good as I was hoping!! :D that looks so clean!

Now I'm anxious to see what mine is looking like. I want it to be waiting for me when I get home from vacation ;) it's going to be like Christmas again!

There's a function video a page or two back of a worked one he sent me home with that had a wonky base.

He's making parts for your unit now. I saw him yesterday and he said he was assembling the cups that go inside.

Yeah I saw the worked on you posted. Looked like a nice vortex for a mini recycler. I really like the style of yours and it looks like it will pull amazing. That size is going to be a flavor savor for sure!

:mmmm:Yes yes yes! Thank you!!!!

All I've been doing is finding ideas and designs for recyclers (and maybe even a double recycler). That will probably be my next order from him. Then next will be some DHgate replicas but with that quality I'm seeing in your recycler!

Do you know if he can do slime accents on my future pieces? Or does he just do worked styles like you posted?

Id imagine he can do slime.

I dont actually own that piece I posted a picture of. I went to the local shop that's selling some of his stuff and snapped that picture. They had about 5 of those on the shelf and I just grabbed one out of the case and took the picture. If you look close, you can see all kinds of goodies in the base below.

I asked him to make me a unit just like that but bigger. Im not really worrying him about it.. when he gets it done, he gets it done.

Gotcha! So the one you are getting made will probably be very similar to the one I will want made. I like that style I just want one a little bigger too with a solid thick base :) I'm going to sell my American Glass recycler I got from Brothers With Glass to replace the one he will make.

Will yours be a male or female joint?

Are the Kathy pieces being made to order? I recall someone else in this thread having their color request honored.

Thanks so much dude! You and that other post had me at no restriction and super smoothness, I think I'm going to have to order one and will likely use it to replace the D020-T and AC. Shame Kathy's shipping is so much longer, my sunshine store orders each took 10 days exactly. Oh well, tis the true cost of thriftiness...
