I now have the vapir2, Indica, and solo. I like all 3 a lot. Maybe its because I've had it the longest, but I like the vapir2 the best.

Its been out a while now, anyone know if there's plans for a vapir3?

Vapir makes a portable vaporizer called the Oxygen Mini. IMO it's not very good. I bought one it worked one day. I sent it back then when I received the replacement it didn't work. The vape has a very small oven for herb, it wasn't what I wanted.

I sent the unit back and had the money accredited back to my card. This was over a year ago maybe they improved their product. That was just my experience you could be different. I just wanted you to know it is out there.

The Mini is older then the NO2. They kind of mixed the design of the 'AIR' with the " O2 mini" and came out with the Number two (NO2) to replace the 'air'. At least that's how I remember it.

Oxygen Mini...
it has it's place, and while I said in the video on the post earlier at http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapir-no2.1694/page-63#post-236536 that it requires electricity, there is an auxillary battery pack that can be used with it.. but in essence you are still plugging it in.
I love the mini, for it's purpose, always plugged in and hanging discreetly in a fold of the drape in the computer room!

I had put my batteries away to the No2. A friend wanted to borrow it and when I got them out they were still almost fully charged. I got to thinking maybe it's not OK to put the batteries away full like that. It's been a month or so since I used it last. I was impressed at the longevity of the charge. I wish they made more vapes that used batteries that you can take out like that.

Maybe someone could chime in on putting batteries away fully charged. Is that not a good thing?
I've heard it's not good for the Solo battery.

I have never removed a solo battery.
It is good to leave a charge on the solo(my opinion from experience.).. and to top it off on occasion if not in use(Arizer says top it off often).
These days we are in a new generation of battery.
It is my belief that it is OK to leave a battery with a charge.
I do not hace technical data to back this up, but my NO2 remains charged fully.
I had a new spare battery that was for emergency that stood by fully charged for over a year. I passed it on, and it is still in use.

waiting to see your abv
I don't know what happened...This vape was banging at 400 the last few days: It was giving me darker abv than my solo. I think I had some preconceived opinions of this vaporizer after I bought it. I gave it some time; learned what it likes, and I was rewarded. I'm glad I stuck with it. My new go to vape. Thanks for all your help FC folks.

You passed any learning curve there was (with NO2 it is minimal)
Your unit got broken in.. and perhaps you are using a strain that has more oils !
Congrats at any rate.
Glad you are having fun with the NO2 now@!

This may have been spoken of in previous posts, but I can't seem to find it. I was able to fit a 1/2 ss screen in the top of my no2, and it fits better than the original screen. I don't know if it has been tried before and if it's bad to use a flat screen? If it's a good fit, will I be able to use the same type of 1/2 inch ss screen inside the oven? Stainless steel screens are thicker, less expensive and fit well in the top portion of the unit. The boater style hat screens seems inferior to other screens, and the straight screen in the oven can be removed for cleaning with a straight metal pick tool. I could buy a 1/2 screen anywhere for one quarter the price. The price for the original screens seems inflated at best.

Ronp if you can shove the screen in you can use it in the oven also no problem. I too ran out of NO2 screens and just use good ol' flat "pipe" screens in the top, I started using a bullet from a vaporblunt Pinnacle in the bottom 'oven' chamber but a flat screen will work too.

If you are in need of OEM Vapir NO2 screens, and are not able to purchase any at this time, send me a PM and I will get your information, and send a couple.

Rude Boy- Can you use concentrates using the bullet? Do you find it easier using the bullet? Do you always use the bullet?

Vaporist- Thank you...I have several screens left from when I bought my no2.

I don't have concentrates but don't think it will work that great no better then wrapping the concentrates in cotton, I am using the bullet with the screened bottom and not the full metal one.

I do find using the bullet a little easier, Just filling it and dropping it into the oven once it's up to temp and then dumpin' just the bullet saves a bit of effort but mainly saves in time needed to clean the oven.

Also I always had to mess with the screen in the oven and every couple of bowls it would need to be reseated/reshaped and I found that to be a pain. Now while using the bullet for the last couple of months I haven't even had to brush out the oven nevermind messing with a screen.

The bullet is a win win for me, I like it.

I have used concentrates in the NO2 using the bullet.
I chose to never vape oils in an NO2 because I did not want to foul the oven, but have since tried a cotton wrapped dab inside of the bullet.
It worked well, and provided a long session. It took a couple of minutes to get hot enough to vape, but once there ... vape it did.
I would not venture waxes/concentrates without a medium (I choose cotton) in a unit like this... oils run fast and far when exposed to heat, and can mess up a unit that was designed for flowers!
That being said, I still much prefer using my herb directly in the chamber than using the bullet.
I used the bullet (with cotton) only for wax.

...And so far I have had a blast with it. It has taken my daily vape sessions like a champ, and has given back some of the best highs I've ever experienced. Much better than combustion, of course. I know this has been addressed a lot, but these wisps of vapor (or smoke?) when nothing is in the chamber is quite concerning. Nobody seems to explain thoroughly enough as to if the "phantom" vapors given off are dangerous to your health. I know the thing has some plastic in it, and that's pretty much not something I want to be inhaling. I use it until the light turns off (15-20 minutes) at 380 degrees Fahrenheit. I clean it after every use, although probably not as thorough as other users, who take the whole thing apart to clean it. Maybe that's the reason these random wisps of vapor occur, but I'm not really into taking apart something I spent close to $210 for since I'm on the decline financially (got fired :*|). My only worry is that the plastic is coming in contact with my lungs, and since I want to get back into basketball, I can't handle any form of lung problems.

More then likely what your seeing is residue left after cleaning, you can get build up under the screen and little bits of herb falling into the holes at the bottom of the chamber. If it were plastic or rubber burning you would know it, it stinks really badly.

Clean it well and take it up to 400 to help "burn" it clean. I think you'll be good to go.

Edit; if you search through the NO2 thread in the portable vaporizer section of the forum you'll find some good cleaning tips.

Pardon cross post. I posted this in the "Vapir Rise" thread as well.

Can't confirm the validity, but this is from the Vapir site.
Is There Any Plastic Made in Your Vaporizers?
First let me put your mind at ease and specifically state that there is nothing to worry about. All of our products are made of high grade heat-resistant material. According to MSDS (Material Safety Date Sheet) Vapir Vaporizers do not release any VOC, even at the highest operating temperature. We do not use glue in the Vapir Oxygen Vaporizer, rather a high temperature medical grade epoxy to secure craftsmanship. The actual NO2 and Oxygen unit casing is a high-temperature Nylon-Fiberglass compound. The unit is designed to operate within this high temperature range of up to and including 400 degrees Fahrenheit, this is why you can hold the unit in your hand even at these high temperatures and feel very little – to no heat. The Herb Chamber is made out of brass and produces a very clean heat, hence there are no VOC’s given off by the NO2 or Oxygen unit at any time.

Furthermore, Vapir is committed to continuous testing of all our products for quality control and to ensure that we deliver the highest quality and safest products possible to our clients. As you can see, we take the high quality of our product very seriously. Therefore, you need not worry.

Most of my vaporizers have plastic components.
On most it is cosmetically visible.
On the ones that have no visible plastics, there are generally hidden applications.

Some vaporizers (I won't talk in public about these) have actual plastic components that degrade and melt away! (SPOOKY!).
I am so comfortable with Vapir's judicious use of synthetic materials in their housings that I recommend them often.
I still use my original NO2 obtained in 2010 at least once a day.
There has been no degradation to any component, other than the gradual yellowing of the tubing.... which I replace once a year.

When I think back of all the problems I've had with a particular vape's plastic housing, they needed the plastic that Vapir uses. Never problems with cracking or melting plastic, a very good product. I would highly recommend them.

I have had my No2 for a little over two years and it's been a wonderful piece!! Shes been working great the whole time but in the last week or so it seems to shut off a good bit in the middle of a session if I happen to bump it, some times it will come right back on and continue heating back up. But from time to time it will just shut off and not come back on by pressing the button. This will happen with a full charge or enough battery life it shouldn't be trying to shut it's self off. I found when it does that I can give it a little squeeze kinda up at the top just above the screen to read your temperature. Doing this seems to make it stay come back on and stay on. Anyone have as much as a wild guess what may be causing my No2 to act up like this.
