I appreciate that @Ratchett What would be a good SS/kathy piece for someone who doesn't grow, and wants to make the best of their meds. The kath-cycler?

All depends on personal preference - depends on what you prefer flavor or no flavor. And how big of a volume you wish to fill?

The glass you use has less of an impact on efficiency of your meds than what vaporizer you use. Really any glass piece will do, but the D20-q turbine just isn't a great piece for vapes in my opinion because of the prolonged draw required to get any sort of action. I really think ANY other type of perc would be a better option for you.

If you want to make the best use of your meds, hit them dry!

The beauty of this thread is you can buy a bunch of pieces to play with and test without breaking your budget. Start small and cheap with something like the D020 and go from there

Today's Pick of the Litter is the Toro Frothilator Knockoff!! This was purchased from Sunshine Store for $42 Shipped. This piece was one of the earlier pieces mentioned here on this thread. It was forgotten but I remember someone breaking theirs putting a k-clip on it. I really love this piece and its the least amount of diffusion out of all my water pieces. I highly recommend this for people seeking minimum diffusion MAXIMUM TASTE!! This piece uses a small amount of water and also has very few slits for diffusion. Whenever a new strain comes my way this is the go to piece to test the overall taste and hit. This piece simply conditions the vapor with a smooth moisture yet leaves it rich and uncut full of flavor. It also milks really fast and clears fast as well.

That would be me,

Almost bought a Cheech Frothilator to replace the broken one too. But now I find it too big.

If you were low on material, which would be the FIRST piece you'd utilize? TIA

D020, GB187, D020-2-w, GB189 in that order.

The D020-2-w is still very new to me and it may move up the list, but after a few days of use I'm not "blown away" like I was when I first got my GB187.

I'm actually waiting for more GB187 singles so I can order a backup. This is my favorite china piece so far. But if I was trying to conserve, I'd use the D020 due to the smaller volume of the can.

No - it requires a lot of force to get it going - you are going to use a lot of pressure to produce a cyclone - this is going to deplete your material faster. You'll clear you whole load in one draw! I'd much rather have a small piece I can take 4 or 5 draws and clear the load.

I agree with @nihil if you're low on material, don't use the D20-q

This is spot on. Although more like 2 hits and it's gone (for me).

Again, fun when entertaining some friends or if I just want to be wasteful. You also need a mirror to watch it in, as that is 82% of the fun.

Cany anyone comment or better yet show a closeup picture of the D020-W perc vs the GB-187 perc?

I'm curious to know what the differences are between them. I really enjoy the sidecar aspect of my D020-W

Also I notice the D020-D doesn't seem to get nearly the same love as the GB-187. If i'm not mistaken the -D and the -W have the same perc as the 187, correct?

The D020-D/W is a much simpler perc compared to the 187. The function similarly but the 187 is alot more intricate. If you search for jambandphan03 in this thread (under the member field) you will find her videos and pictures comparing the two.

I thought the W had a Tire Perc like the D020. The GB187 has a Matrix Perc. The Matrix Perc is why I like the GB187 over my D020.

Tire Perc: a dozen slits
Matrix Perk: A few rows/columns of pinholes

Negative, the D020 has a Tire perc. the D020-D and the D020-W have a matrix perc.

Thanks @Tweak for clarifying. Maybe I'll grab a GB-187 at some point in the future if they ever come back up in singles for sale

i want a claisen where the other side is just a nicely formed carb hole. would be ideal for my nano + gb-187.

Or you could always get a custom Nano GonG from Joda glassworks (@VaPeD&CoNfUsEd ) with a custom carb hole built in (That's my next order, female GonG with carb hole)

I just did 2 dabs of this out of this little guy. Just got the Drop-down Banger today. I really like this style of nail.
This thing is so small the the dab is done almost all at once. Kinda like a sucker-punch.
:smug::zzz::zzz:
I just got that same nail the other day, works great for me too! How do you heat it up, I dont really know the proper technique

Has anyone pulled the trigger on the WYK-001 from sunshine store yet?

I'm sure the pic is an actual rig, not their knockoff, but it looks like a little beer rig to me...

Anyways, I just pulled the trigger on it, so we shall have a review soon enough ;)

I'm also really digging that little Klein bottle rig from Kathy, but it's 10mm :(
I have no use for a 10mm rig...
I asked if it was possible to get a different joint, and sadly it's not possible.

Never mind.
Color me interested. Let us know how it turns out.

Haha, that's kinda what drew me to it.

Just seems like a fun way to throw a bit of work on to the piece, without it being a standard marble or something...

To me, it looks visually interesting, and while I assume it's referencing some kind of viral structure, it doesn't say "GROSS DISEASE" to me, it says "INTERESTING SHAPE FROM SCIENCE :science:".

Here ya go @Stu, perhaps you'd prefer the clap?;)

EDIT:
Or Pollen...
It could be pollen?

EDIT 2:
It also gives me an Everlasting Gobstopper vibe, but upon googling an image of it I'm not quite sure why
