Yeah.....I messaged him last week about this and haven't heard a peep since. So if anyone knows of another way to obtain just the aardvark (no water tool) I would love to be enlightened!

When I asked YYK1 about obtaining just the Aarvark and no water tool he responded with:

Dear VAPEHUNTER,
Yes, I have them for $19.99 text me (818)378-XXXX

- theyoyokid1

I hope I'm not speaking out of line by giving his number out, but you are all good group so it should be ok.

EDIT: I'm having second thoughts about putting TYYK1's phone number up here like this. If it's his business line I think it would be cool but for all I know it could be his personal. If any one is having a hard time getting in touch with THEYOYOKID1 PM me and I will give you his contact info. Sorry if this becomes inconvenient but the last thing I want to see is a bunch of trolls calling and upsetting the guy.

He asked me to text him my paypal address so he can send me an invoice. I think it would be okay to text him but please lets NOT blow up his phone with calls. Thanks!

I can confirm that is in fact TYYK personal phone number, however I think that emailing him is his preferred method of contact. He has an FC account as well (with 1 post I believe lol) but I believe he prefers to be contacted via email. He has an impeccable history of communication, perhaps it was the holiday weekend that slowed him down. Try him again via email, and if the problem persists I will call him for you.

I went for a morning hike with my son and when I got back home I found my Aardvark wating for me:rockon:. I gave it a good PBW wash while I showered up. Than an Iso wash and it's ready. I started with a little bit larger than a BB sized dab and Boom:o!! If using a nail was like drinking a beer or a glass of wine TheAardvark would be like taking a double shot. The flavor is amazing. I took a second dab and I'm done:ko:. @TherealVaporblunt, Quick question. How do I know when it's hot enough. I don't get it red hot but I get it pretty hot but I don't want to break my new toy. Oh well, it's nap time, I can't wait to get up for another round with this little guy.:zzz::zzz:

Some prefer low temp dabbing, which is hard to tell when it's ready because it never turns red. Some people get it red hot. I would say a little trial and error would be good for you to figure out which method you prefer. Btw, that beer/shot analogy is one of the best things I've ever read on here!!!

Check your ebay messages. I didn't think he responded to me either but he did. Mine is <48 hours from my mailbox.
And delivered! Significantly longer than the estimated <48 hours but based on my tracking USPS had a bunch of monkeys kicking it from one coast to the other.

First Impressions:

Hit's me a lot harder than a dab out of an oil rig, a couple "bumps" had me in a nice place.

NOTE:

Only heat the Aardvark pointing up if you want to have skin on the tips of your fingers.

So I'm at work and I always keep my Thermovape Revolution and my water tool in my desk drawer for when I need a little something to make the day more interesting. Well I just went to get my water tool out and it got caught up, knocked out of my hand and......SHATTER! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!:cry::cry:
Now my Aardvark is just a nice display item. Time to take my oil rigs back out. I wonder if I can some how make the Aardvark work with my 14mm j hook? I guess I better ask my brother if I can borrow his PNWT.

Most of the reclaim stays in the "neck/nose" of the Aardvark but a little bit of reclaim does burn off into vapor both during heat up and after you take your dab. When I heat it up I try to only heat up bottom 1/4". As long as I only heat up the bottom it's all good.

Wonder if he can make it in 18mm, for VapeXhale hydratube use without an adapter :brow:
That would be cool! They can package it in with one of the 18MM Vapor Blunt Water Tools and call it The Ant Eater. No, The Dab Eater. Maybe The Pig or The Hog.
Oh wait, I've got it THE SNOUT!

so how frequently should it be cleaned?

I guess like everything it just depends on how much you use it. I cleaned mine after a week of light use, a couple dabs a night, but only because I wanted to. I suppose if one were to use it heavily, get it nice and "dirty", then heat it up vertically oil dripping may become a problem.

So.. I'm going to have to hold the hot aardvark while taking the hit? it will slide off and fall if I let it go?

I think the 14mm should be tbe hummingbird and the 18mm should inherit the Aardvark moniker. Hypothetically speaking.
The Hummingbird, I like that. But then again being a Waterfowler I like anything with a bird moniker.

My Aardvark always fit very snug and at first I would hold it but after I got a little more comfortable I stopped worrying about it falling out on me. When I would hold the Aardvark I held it from the very top so it was never really that hot. On the Simba glass website they have a Aardvark / Simba Watertool set that uses a k clip to hold it in place. LINK→ http://www.simbaglass.com/shop/detail.cfm/aardvark-oil-straw/id-42
