Here are some tips for vaping hash in the LB:
Do this at your own risk. Magic Flight advise against it.
In my experience (with only one type of hash that I got, don't have other hashes to try), it takes a bit longer to get good vapor from a hash hit, and you'll need strong fresh batteries and to inhale very slowly to maximize the heating.
The LB gives best results when the material is ground up to a fine powder, and with hash it's no differnet. You can put in a small chunk of hash (even rock hard hash) and take a few hits from the LB, and then you can crumble the warm and soft hash to smaller pieces and sticky powder.. Make sure it doesn't clump up and stick to the trench, use the iron top of the supplied brush to very gently scrape it off if it does. In the first few hits it looks like brown mush, but if you take a short break and let it cool off a bit, you can then crumble it to a little finer and drier powder.
Warm hash tends to clump together more than weed, so you should make sure that when you're shaking between hits, the hash doesn't stick to the trench, but shakes around. There might be powedery pieces that get stuck to the shoulders of the trench, brush them in.
It's harder to know when the trench is spent than with weed, and I still don't really know, I just stop when I don't like the taste anymore. It's dusty black at that point.
I think that if you keep your box clean then there's no risk in vaping non-melt hash, but again, do this at your own risk

For those of you who fill just the bottom of the trench up with a tiny amount of ground up powdered herb, do you just vape it all in a hit or two and then take it out if you save it to cook with?
Or do you get another vape hit from that and then take it out to save it for cooking?

I use keif in mine all the time - kif that doesn't melt. A little sprinkle really makes the first few hits stronger. Sometimes it sticks to the trench, so shake it up or use the brush to dislodge.
I would absolutly save MFLB avb. I am vaping some right now in my HerbalAire. First there is the fact that (for me) some of the mflb abv is dark, and some is still green. This tells me that the extraction was imcomplete even at low temps. I just blew a bag at 330f that is moderatly thick. Then there is the extraction effeciency. I am able to blow 5 bags!!! With ABV! (one at 330, one at 340, then 355, and 375. I blew a final bag at 400 but it was a bit thin. I try to extract as much as possible below 400 for better taste)
If you are interested in stealth they will make custom-lidded units in opaque or black if you email them

I'm saving up my ABV (half goes to g/f and half goes to a brownie bucket).
I'm not going to revape my MFLB ABV in another vaporizer (tried that before in the Extreme .v3 and it tasted pretty bad in my opinion); I'm going to use it for Cannabutter -> peanut butter cookies. I used 21g unvaped bud (don't know what kind) to make 44 cookies, and each of those were very effective; a heavy body load, all pain gone and they cause me to stare at my aquarium for long periods of time. So I figure I'll use about 60g of ABV for the same 44 cookies (70% from MFLB and rest from Extreme/Iolite).

If you were grinding your herb to the correct consistency you would not be able to properly use it in the HA. Anyone have any advice, tips, or personal techniques on using the MF LB?
Or how to get the most out of your batteries?
What works for myself is using a tiny bit of finely ground herb on the bottom of the trench and vaping it all in one or two hits.
I don't shake the box or tap it as I do not put lots of plant material in there and if I do need to move it around or clean out the trench I just use the brush.
I do not use the plastic tube that came with the vaporizer but if it fits a waterpipe bowl I have I will.
The launch box kit I got came with battery covers so I keep one of those on the Pozitive end of the battery when it's not in use.
Here's a question for magic flight and heavy/frequent users:
Does vaping produce residue at all like combustion does? Does the Magic Flight box have to be cleaned at all?
I remember when I first got the box I opened up the lid and put the battery in for a second to see if everything worked right and it did.
Would doing this with an empty trench and opening up the lid clean out any residue or leftover material that the brush can't get in the screen?
I have never ever combusted herb in the box but for those of you who have do you actually have to really intentionally try to do this and leave the battery in for a very long time say like minutes instead of seconds when the vapor first appears?

Can you tell us how much resistance in Ohms the heating element should be?
The reason I ask-- my box has recently (and seemingly instantly) stopped performing as well as I remember it used to. I have brand new batteries and a top of the line Maha charger on the way... but while im waiting on those to arrive I was hoping I could troubleshoot the launchbox itself. I imagine it should be within a certain resistance range. I can provide my box number if it helps get that specification from you.
Obviously, since I cannot remove the screen .. I dont think there is any other troubleshooting I can do, correct?

Anyone use their LB while driving? My Iolite is a great driving companion but I am interested in buying an LB as well...
yes, I have used it while driving. Its the smallest vape I know. The battery does stick out of my hand a little, so it is obvious im holding some "weird" up to my face, but otherwise it works great. The only (minor) downside is that you will sit there for 20-40 seconds slowly toking on it. If you drive a stick-shift, you have to develop your knee driving skills. If you share the road with nosy people, you may get some looks.

I got my MFLB yesterday! Whoop-de-whoop! I haven't opened the box yet though. I am waiting to get my MMJ license and then it is straight to vaping. As promised, I will never smoke weed again.
Also, I wanted to tell the thread this .. if you want to search this thread (or any thread) for all occurrences of a term .. do this:

Hi all. I received my LB today... nice. I can't see it ever replacing my Buddha, but it seems to just what I need for travel. 
I did not however get the Sanyo charger & batteries. I get a Chinese no name charger, and peeled batteries, so I have no idea what they are. I thought that the Sanyos were the standard set currently. For recent owners of the LB, what did you get for a charger & batteries? By the way, my box number is well over 344,000.
