Thanks. There is still plenty of tweaking. My skillet blows lol I need something more percise n consistent then I think I'll be in better shape making some shatter but the crumble is yummy especially in this vape the sessions don't end I love it

My girlfriend and i are currently on vacation with my Pax and Haze. We are having tons of fun. I got both vapes through the security at the airport easily. Love the size of these beasts.

Did u do anything special to sneak them thru?

No need to sneak them, ND. Just make sure they are squeaky clean, fill the chambers with some tobacco, have a pouch of the shit along also, and you're good to go. I've done numerous trips with different portables and they've never even taken them out of my carry on to look at them. :)

Nice thanks for the tip. How about getting the herb n oil on there too?

If you're carrying, I'd make sure it is very small amounts and I'd make sure it was in checked baggage and as smell proof as possible. Oil would be the easier to hide...even in toiletries. The key would be to make it blend in with other things in your bag. But...you are taking a chance of discovery. :o

Safest is to be going somewhere where you meet someone you know with herb, etc. Or, mailing some ahead of time to where you are going. Again, safest is to just bring your vape and have someone meeting you that can supply the herb. Guess it depends on how much you want to roll those cosmic dice...

I've been having two issues with my Haze. Here's part of the email I sent about it:

Used my Haze quite a bit last night and unfortunately, the LED issue seems to be happening off and on. It seems settings 1 and 2 will always go solid once they reach correct temp. Setting 3 seems to work most of the time (as in eventually going solid instead of blinking) but sometimes will just keep blinking no matter how long I wait. Setting 4 seems to usually just keep blinking no matter what I do and only occasionally does it function properly, changing to solid. I've made sure both batteries are charged and used both. Sometimes swapping a freshly charged battery in will make it function properly for the first use, but after I've powered it off or simply switched bowls, the 4th setting will just continually blink. It's heating up fine, and I can get vapor from it even while blinking (though not very dense), so the Haze is working, but not being able to know when its at temperature has been extremely frustrating for me and ruining an otherwise excellent product. The other issue I have, which may be linked to never knowing if it's at the right temp, is that both bowls seem to be heating up when its used. I had packed some dry material in bowl A with the convection screen and some wax in the oil can in bowl B. Used bowl B first on 4 (never stopped blinking that session, though 1 2 and 3 would all go solid when I tried those.) After finishing the material in bowl B, I swapped to A which had fresh dry material in it (I thought). When no vapor was produced, I opened it up, and sure enough the material in bowl A was browned and used up, though I'd never flipped to A. I'm not sure if these two problems are related but, one of the major selling points for me was the dual bowl feature, and people on the FC threads have said when one bowl is heated up, the other one remains fresh. But that wasn't my experience at all.

So, has anyone had either of these issues happen? Any insight? I'm sure I'll get a prompt reply back from the company, as my initial questions were, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask here. I want to love my Haze so much, but really frustrated at the moment.

Update: Happened to notice two of you make posts about falty chargers. Seems I have the same problem I think. If I have one battery in the charger, and it's showing red, then pop the other battery in as well (when I know that one drained) the original that had been Red turns green. So I'm thinking the LED issue could just be the batteries not charging properly. But that's a guess. Not sure why both bowls are heating up though.

I haven't had the bowl problem, but I've experienced the light issue but it seems to me to just be a low battery. Every time I swap batteries it seems to be ok. I had the charger problem and they replaced it for me. Unfortunately I just came home from work and tried charging my batteries n it has happened again. I will be emailing about it but I may just keep it n charge one at a time. Idk if it's just a light issue or it's not charging, haven't left it on there.

Just like Nick, no dual bowl heating problem here. That is weird but if there is some defect that is causing both bowls to heat up at the same time then it may explain why you can't get to temp too? I would simply contact Haze. I bet they send you another unit without any hassle.

As discussed earlier in the thread, it does seem to take a bit longer to get to level 3 or 4 if you are doing herb in the cans but you eventually get there if the battery is in good shape. I usually end up starting to pull way before the lights are solid. My first his are tasty with little vapor on three but get full steam in a short period of time when leaving it on 3. If you go to four right away all this is much quicker but you cash your material quicker too. Sorry for the combustion reference. Lol

Speaking of charger, I think I might have jumped too quickly. My replacement and original both seem to be working now. I am not sure what happened but I think I got my batteries mixed up and tried to put a fully charged one on. When it didn't go red I thought something was wrong but I think it was just protecting the battery from being overcharged.

I have five batteries so having an extra wall charger wouldn't hurt anyway so I emailed Haze and asked them to charge me for it.

Lol that's funny Scott. Haze already emailed me back and said that their engineers are developing a new rapid charger which should be available in a few weeks. Once it's done I should be receiving one. So it's just charging one at a time till then I guess. I have 4 batteries so it's not to bad.

I also agree with Scott. If u contact haze about ur problems. I have no doubt that they with resolve your issue in some way. Good luck let us kno how u make out @mikecassenti

Oh I'm sure they will... They have been really awesome so far I think I just got frustrated last night because of multiple issues happening. I'm going to do some testing today, charging one battery at a time and see if that helps. But both bowls definitely are heating up. If I heat the unit up with no bowls or screens then open it up and stick my finger near the bowl that should be off (but not on it obviously) it feels just as hot as the bowl selected and in use. So that could be the problem with the heat up time. And the batteries not lasting long at all. (I had assumed it was the charger) but one at time seems to charge fine, so I'm beginning to think it's more likely the problem is both bowls heating up. I'm sure Haze will get back to me today even on a saturday. My first initial question was replied to at 11pm on a Friday night. And Amy from Haze has been very helpful. Even with the issues I'm having, I can see that I'd like it much more than any portable I've ever used. I'll keep everyone posted of course. And thanks for the help.

Modnote: back to back posts merged

Got a reply already! That was prompt. So it seems that the entire problem is likely the charger and the batteries not getting to full charge. Because I'm waiting so long to start drawing (on account of the lights blinking) BOTH bowls end up being heated. Had I been drawing when it was actually at the correct temp roughly, it shouldn't have happened. Makes sense. I'll be getting a new charger it looks like. In the meantime, I'm charging one at a time for a full 4 hrs as was recommended.

For the record my bowl not being used does get very warm but by no means vapes the material.

How is your switch feeling? Mine is a bit weird at times. Sometimes it feels real "springy" and other times it snaps back into the center real nice. It depends which position I have it in. At this point it doesn't affect the functionality so no big deal. I think this was one of the things they were looking at for v2.

Amy has been helping me also she is great. She replied to me on the Fourth of July when any other company would prob have waited till the filling Monday. Anyway if u charge one at a time they charge fine, that currently what I'm doing until the reengineer the charger as Amy said they were doing. As for the chambers getting hot and actually vaporizing ur material I doubt that's a battery issue. I vaped some concentrate for at least a half hour to fourtyfive min (which is fucking awesome might I add) and the bowl with the herb was as green as the day it came off the plant so idk about that one. I'd keep testing it to make sure.

On the replacement I received seemed to have a more secure switch and was defiantly different from my original. The most noticeable is the emblem on the chamber side now. So idk if they just update the cosmetics, cuz that's easy or if they actually updated the unit itself but no doubt there will be more improvements nd tweaks. I just hope we have an option for an updated unit when they do actually do it.

@scottg402 how do u carry all 4000 of ur cans around lol I have 10 n I put them in a sealable baggie that the accessories came in n put it in my case but some lids pop off or some material comes out. Any ideas?

Sorry if I missed this,.. but Is it possible to use both chambers simultaneously?

Also, has anyone tried blocking off the bowl they are not using ATM? maybe by putting the oil can in backwards or something .. I would imagine that having both airways open like that would give an airier hit than if non-used side was plugged

U can only use one bowl. Inside the unit is I ss sleeve that tuna with the selection of bowl. There is only one airway open at a time. So u only draw from one chamber at a time no matter what. Look inside ur unit while one bowl is selected then look inside when u select the other u notice the ss sleeve moves also. So 2 bowls at one time isn't going to happen unless u have @mikecassenti unit lol sorry bro

Thanks for explaining that for me.. I was wondering about the other bowl being opened the other day.. I was pretty sure you could only use one bowl at a time, but I thought I read somewhere online recently that you could so I wasn't sure anymore..

Here are some pics and descriptions of how I organize and store my stuff. I hope these images show up correctly as I'm still in noob status on this.....

Bringing in @rizzo too cuz he was asking before...

I use two types of aluminum canisters for both loose material and can storage:

Large aluminum canister-
Holds about 5 g's of fine grind or 10-11 prepacked cans.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-45-x-90-R...196?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51b5b2a2f4

Small aluminum canister-
Holds 2-3 g's of fine grind or four prepacked cans. This is an excellent choice for the Pax cuz it makes it much easier to load. Just take off the caps, stir your material a bit and dump it into the Pax with just a few taps on the edge.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/351104371526?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

These and my devices/tools get stored in the following:

Small OtterBox Pursuit 20-
http://www.ebay.com/itm/OtterBox-Pu...t=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&hash=item4867a0641e

Large OtterBox Pursuit 40-
http://www.ebay.com/itm/OtterBox-Pu...t=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&hash=item233d921cf5

I see these have gone up in price (they don't make them anymore). I paid between $3-5 each when AT&T was closing them out.

They are really made for phones but they work great as a smell/crush/water proof box. They keep everything in there tight and secure and snap securely shut. Nothing rattles around, not even the small tools if you position them properly. The lids are tight too so you can hold them up like shown. They double as a tray in a pinch as well.

Here are my material boxes....

20140719_212626_zpsu9uedyr6.jpg

Here is my Haze kit-

20140703_190333_zps98892411.jpg

This is a large box which includes the Haze, the tweezer/shovel tool that comes with the Haze, some alcohol prep pads for quick wipe down cleanings, one extra battery (the case can fit two extra), and two small canisters for a total of 8 prepacked cans + 2 in the Haze.

Here is my Pax kit-

20140703_190429_zpsd6b37f53.jpg

This is a small box which includes the Pax, some alcohol prep pads for quick bowl and mouthpiece cleanings, one small canister of loose herb and an old skool pipe tool that works great for loading and cleaning. This is really the only box that leaves my house unless I am going on a road trip or something. BTW... this small one also holds the Ascent in the there perfectly tight but no extra room for a material canister like the Pax.

These get stacked up in two small backpacks (one for material, one for devices) like this...

20140703_190502_zpseec71189.jpg

Along with this....

20140719_175436_zpsgwaurrcg.jpg

Which is a small leak proof container full of 99% ISO which serves as a bath for used cans/mouthpiece between reload/cleaning sessions. Just shake and rinse.

Don't ask me how I figured all this out and pieced it together but it fits so nice it's like this stuff was made for it!
