Some people will say its not heated enough to cause concern.
Some will say there are far worse things out there, so don't be concerned.

The truth is.........no one really knows if it will harm YOUR health.
but inhaling something on a regular basis IMHO.....you should consider doing some research.

-------What I do...........
I try to stick to as much glass as I can with my vapes. (SSV for home)
I don't use aluminum grinders or aluminum heating chambers. (space case, volcano, plenty)
I stay away from inhaling butane or lighter fluid. (sorry Vapor Genie)
ect....

most kitchen wear is made from ss if not it's made from iron you wont find glass frying pans
(do you use those?)
yes health is important but everything we do there are risks involved how far one goes to improve it
and the steps they take will be such a small amount sadly will make no difference at all.

this doesn't mean you should not try however you may find your over looking the bigger health concerns.

1. water how clean is your water? (my drinking water is purified twice than distilled and than purified again,is it safe to drink ?? i am really not sure does still taste odd to me)

2. air you breath how clean is it (i have 3 air filters going at all times including a uv for germs and black mold,is my air safe to breath ? no still with this i might have fiberglass dust in the air and some black mold) and unless you live outside the city your breathing a lot worse things than butane

3 . food you eat how safe is it? (none of us really know you pretty much would need to produce your own to know for sure)

4. What your wearing is it safe? (natural or is it man made?)

5. electronics we use daily (from cell phone causing brain tumors to whatever else lol )

my point is nothing is really safe even glass has its risk (small piece of glass can't be dissolved in the body and could lead to ones death if inhaled)

So the pax seems pretty safe to me

25 loads in I must say this thing is a work horse, quick easy cleaning (shame I can't get the reclaim from it like solo stems) flavor is OK on mid and low but high gives me such dense/hot vapor I cough till I almost gag if I'm not careful, although taste isn't the best it no doubt produces clouds, I think I'm happy with this purchase although it won't replace my solo it will always have have it place. My only real complaint is the fact it costs 250, if it was more in the 120-170 ball park is I'd be 5 as stoked over it. I've got a Lotus and extreme q coming otw I've just caught vas and been going crazy. But as I said due to ease of use and stealth it will always have a oven loaded! Ps. I tried only kief bowl and it worked I had pax screen + a ss solo screen folded on then placed kief then another folded screen on top, worked quite nicely, I wanted to try wax and bud but my better judgment steered me away

Hahaha yea I wasn't bold enough to try wax in there either, but that's good to know about the kief. Also I totally agree, there are better/cheaper vapes out there but for the stealth and simplicity it's #1. I mostly use my at work because of that. Plus I rock mine on high n get ripped real quick which is what I need, a discreet quick session n the pax is the one. Well continue to enjoy bro

wax does wonders inside the pax ,but there is a trick to it turn the pax on low let it heat up once it does turn off and use a flat dabbing tool to smear it on the oven sides thin layer you will not need much .

than load oven with your herb.pack well and enjoy (do not stir midway thru) your oven load on avg will last twice as long

The only time I use kief is to sandwich it in flower. But I do have a bunch of spare Pax screens, I will have to try it.

Got myself a pax for my birthday and just tested it out last night. Packed the oven full with super finely grinder purp and was the most stoned I've been in a while. One of the best purchases I've made :leaf:
My thoughts exactly when I first bought mine. Then I showed my buddy and he went out right away and bought one too. Then he showed his neighbor and he went out right away and got one.

I credit the Pax as the one device that made it possible for me to stop combusting. Since then I have also picked up a few other vapes including another portable. As much as I love my Pax, it is nice to use different devices and to have a backup as well.

Enjoy yours!

Bought a Pax, discovered this forum, VapeWorld, VapeCritic, etc. Then decided I had to have a Firefly. Sold the Pax to friends. Now I have a second Pax and the Firefly and still want more, more, more. Variety is the spice of life both in material and delivery systems. Enjoy! It does deliver a fine attitude adjustment.

About 2 months ago a friend gifted me his purple Pax.

Even though I only use it maybe once or twice a week, I love this puppy!! I take it with me on dog walks in the neighborhood during the day. If I didn't need the stealth, I would prefer the Solo. I'm aware of the stealth attachment for use in a paper cup, but it's not my style. For at home use I do prefer the Solo, but I rarely use portables at home. Not enough power.

I really love the way the Pax feels in my hand. I like the bigger bowl compared to the Solo; I wish it were even bigger. Clicking on and off via the mouthpiece is oddly satisfying. The battery life of the Ascent blows away the Pax, but I rarely vape more than one bowl in a day w/ the Pax, so the point is moot, in my situation.

I am not fond of the tight draw, rigorous cleaning regimen, taste, and relative inefficiency, but the Pax is definitely my favorite portable (vs the Solo and Ascent), given my needs and usage.

Cheers, wishing everyone a healthy and happy summer. Harvest season is coming soon.

Vegas haze

but my momma said
I've been using my pax for about a year now and like it quite a bit but I was looking for something faster and thanks to fc I found the Elevape SV which is perfect for my situation.

I quit smoking when I tried an ecig and after a year I finally grew very tired of the whole nic juice on my lips, spills, steeping etc. Well I'm now using my Pax for pipe tobacco and I can see why the bowl is as big as it is and also why there was no mouthpiece lube in the beginning because it never gets sticky with tobacco. A full bowl lasts me about 8-10 minutes and I only vape it on low. Iso for some reason doesn't clean the pax with tobacco stains, warm water actually works great.

I have been thinking about buying a pax for a while, but paying so much only for something I may not be completely happy with scares me. Noone I know has ever used one.

Well first ask urself what qualities ur looking for in a vape. The pax's strong suit IMO is stealth, simplicity, and reliability. I use mine at work because it's so discreet. Loading is simple and so is using it in general. Has 3 basic settings, 3 and 4 are best for herb IMO. I start on 3 for the flavorful vapors n bump it up to 4 after a few min for the dense heavy clouds n high. It's a great unit for me.

I don't use it all the time just at work. I have other vapes for other needs. Currently I purchased the new haze vaporizer and I love it. It's very diverse, it uses convection and conduction depending on which screen u use. Also performs great with concentrates of all types n consistencies. That's my around the house goin for a drive vaporizer. It's pretty discreet but not at all close to the pax.

In the end it's all a matter of personal opinion and preference. My advice is look for a vape that fits ur needs n situation. Hope this helps a bit good luck

Thanks for the information. Everyone really seems to like them for discreet purposes. How is the smell of of them. A lot of people say they're using them for work. Are you a letter to go right back in without smelling?

For me, the smell is more than the other vapes like MFLB or Solo. The fact that the oven constantly bakes the material which causes a little aroma.

Its pretty insignificant compared to a joint but it does still smell. I have roommates that dont dig the essence so I usually utilize my PAX near the window which has worked pretty good

It also smells very slightly when charging the PAX but someone would have to be sniffing for it to notice.

Personally, I wouldn't try it at work but I work in a cubicle environment... Outside would be no problem but the clouds this thing can produce can defeat the discreetness

I wait tables. Lol I can sneak out for about five minutes, but then I'm right back in dealing with the public. That's one of my concerns also.

I used to wait as well during my college days. I would sesh in the deep freezer but the smell tends to stay...not recommended.

For the after smell...vape dissipates a lot faster than smoke but it does take a few minutes. Quicker if you vaped outside. Vape does stay on us but not long.

Hey guys,
I bought my Pax about 3 weeks ago and after three nights of using it, i lost my voice.
I waited until my voice came back, tried it again and after 2 nights it happened again. I have never lost my voice from smoking and I don't really understand why this is happening? I've cleaned the Pax and also set it to the lowest setting and it still keeps happening. I have owned an iolite in the past and never had any issues with losing my voice. Also when repacking the oven when the Pax is on, occasionally a little bit of vapour (possibly smoke?) comes out. I bought it from a authorised dealer and it has a serial number on it... I don't think that it's a dud but it may be. Look forward to hearing back from you. Peace

know fear
...I don't think you are supposed to anything except good things aboot Pax here...and we are certainly not allowed to speculate....

...I noticed the Pax can get uncomfortable very quickly if one is not cautious...I have not lost my voice per se but have certainly irritated my throat in a manner that was as discouraging as it was surprising....

...if you are careful and avoid leaving the oven on you can metigate this effect to a large degree....

as for smell axe body spray and mouthwash type like breath spray will cover it for the unit itself a case would come in handy,of couse you could always mix your flowers with peppermint or something else .i would worry about getting over medicated otherwise (keep on low)

with vaping always have water on hand should be sipping water every few draws
and if its really dry there being summer and all use a ultra sonic humidifier to add some moisture to the air (and even cool the air i use ice water in mine )

I'm trying to like my Pax but it's frustrating. Sometimes it's just so much easier to go load a bowl and smoke it the old fashioned way and get high in less time than it takes the Pax to heat up. I can never really tell if I'm getting a hit either. Sometimes I think it's just slowly cooking my weed without producing vapor and I'm not sure if I'm high or just light headed from repeatedly trying to inhale through the mouthpiece. :/
