I feel like it alters the taste maybe slightly but its hard to tell. (IMO new whips I can taste more...but it still somewhat subtle)

what will definitely alter the taste is not cleaning your wand and especially your whip.
I highly recommend keeping up with cleaning your shit!!

Was hoping you would weigh in on the subject. I agree completely.

When I'm really in a hurry, the SSV can be turned on, preheated and ready to produce thick clouds in ~5 minutes from cold. And all it takes is one or two draws and I'm good.

I keep reading this too, that the whip adds/removes taste. I've never experienced it and I think I have a decent taste palate. Last week someone made me some no-bake cookies and I could tell her what ingredients she used from the taste (sweetened condensed milk and PB).

For me, nothing removes taste like some water filtration and I can't use the e-nano stem dry for more than one session, the short distance really dries my mouth and throat.

Which brings me to this statement. Wouldn't that size of a load provide the possibility of 4 to 5 times the amount of terpenoids and flavanoids? Even if you can't extract them all in one hit, there should be a higher ratio than when using smaller loads.

Is my thinking flawed?

IMO, the whole air path can have an effect. Hitting the e-nano without any herb I can subtly taste the ceramic heater or heated SS tube. Same with my nose, I can smell the heat coming from the heater port. I don't see anyone mention this in the e-nano thread so it might just be my unit, the heater is leaning on the SS heat port.

Not so much with the SSV. The heater isn't as confined, has some room to breath, and isn't physically touching anything but the air it heats.

It's in my city. My afternoon CANNOT degenerate into stalking the various nice mailpeople going about their days...but I am just super pumped. Saved about a solo bowl full worth of herb to try it. Woop woop!

I agree with tweak as well.

I see tons of videos on youtube and know people who don't know how to vape correctly and/or efficiently.
it depends on temp, technique, number of draws, load size, ect..

Assuming the same bud is going into each vape, the ratio of terpenoids and flavanoids shouldn't change I'd think.
You'd absolutely have more in total available to vape, but I can't see how the ratio of terpenoids and flavanoids to total herb weight would change...

Not meaning in your load but in the vapor output.

The first few hits should be saturated with flavor vs a smaller load where you would get less flavor but the inclusion of the psychoactive elements.

I can tell a difference in the standard vs mini wand flavor.

Ahh, then sure, I can totally see them being vaped up faster, so being more concentrated in the earlier hits

Just got the reclaimed ssv!! Um, where's the flaw?.. It's not on the glass, finish, knob, anywhere? I chose for no upgrades and got a orange housing with matching standard HC an wand, green/white knob and they sent a purple jar.

Maybe I'll use it. Maybe I won't. Still don't know..

Forgot to share my latest piece of glass from Mike @ Oregon Glass Blowers.


His is on top, epicvape el-bowl on bottom for comparison. I requested a wider tubing, 12mm where the whip connects. It is one beefy piece of glass.

Using it for a mouthpiece works awesome too, keeps the whip the shape of a C and keeps it from kinking.

He's made me another one with a bit more distance between the GG and the bend so it fits a dewaar bubbler. My SSV tubing is super tight with the 12mm connection where it would fall off the el-bowl.

Quick summary of events post-mail-delivery! I opened my box ecstatic to see and orange unit with silver base, funky enough for me. Always had a liking for orange, silver base might be changed out, remodeled on an artsy night. I happened to get glass on glass. Heavy glassStirring and patience with finding my "noon" produced beautiful taste n cloud production. Some stirring definitely helped. Briefly cumbusted before I figured it out

I was basically dankrupt, my girl was being a headache, so I headed to my hometown on a whim, glass n SSV in tow.

Some close old friends, ones I have let seen in years happen to have been visiting too ones Id first experienced psychedelics with, that type of friend. The calls start pouring in they visited, packed somd gdaddy kush in with my kief in top.

once you know how to use the SSV you can save a lot of herbs and get some great flavor at the same time.
thats how I use mine.

I only wish the herb chamber wasnt so darned large. But after my friends try it they recognize why so little is needed. To fill that even half way would be too much for me and a friend or two. I might need a new screen set up. Might get some colored tubing.

I even put the pwnt knockoff right on the end of the tubing. Perfect fit into any 14mm joint. My heat cover has yellow and green and he knob has green and blue so Id like to trade those for matching sometime down the line, when Im qualified to use the classified section!
