Athlete Vaporists?

Getting Lost
Nothing quite as exhilarating as getting a nice vape session in and effortlessly mashing around the city on a brakeless track bike!
Be careful riding brakeless, I also ride a track bike on the road and my brake has saved my life twice now. Skidding is sufficient 99% of the time, but when you have literally no time to react, or the road is wet, better to have the option than not! Plus, it only takes 2 mins to pop a front brake off when you get to the 'drome
:peace:

stay true to yourselves
I had a friend that used to smoke bongs all the time and then go to the gym and bodybuild. He ended up getting a lot of heart complications and had to monitor his heartrate to avoid passing out. The doctor told him to give up either gym, or smoking weed so he gave up the gym..

I guess nothing like this happens to people who vaporisers. If I still spoke to him i'd encourage him to try it out

I've never had heart problems. It's funny cause I've never really heard of people having problems smoking and going to the gym either. But then again, body building is about as intense as it gets when it comes to working/ building muscle. It takes a lot of strength from your heart to pump blood to all those muscles.

I feel like my life is perfect right now.
Monday through Thursday I have college soccer starting at 12. I wake up around 10:30 to shower and get ready. At 11:20 I skate to practice (just under 5 miles) and kick some ass.
My girlfriend picks me up after practice and we go to my friends house to hang out for a few hours. He's a DJ so he's always going through new music and just messing around so it's awesome. We all get super high, go home around 9 or 10 at night, knock out, then repeat in the morning :D

I'm happy for you, ivapetoomuch! Seems like you're not taking it for granted. Appreciate your good life, knowing others aren't so lucky.

Cheers!

I go to the gym!
After a smoothie a medical session with a vaporizer is good for the heart!

Inhaling burnt plant material is the issue not cannabis!

Vaporizing is way more civilized!

I love to vape and bike. Having some complications with my hip right now so the doctor said I'm not allowed to run or do anything high impact until I start physical therapy. However in the mean time I love to hit the trails and do 20-30 miles on my road bike after a nice dab or vape session.

I also usually try to walk my dog 2-3 miles a day and bring the MFLB along

I'm good thanks. Looks like an amazingly exciting hobby but I'm all about my Muay Thai at this point in my life. Pitting yourself against another trained human in an organised fight is a pretty surreal experience. Total gonna jump outta plane at some point though. Must be a pretty perspective setting kind of deal. Like your first fight.. Something must change in your view point no? To life and existence as a whole.. Maybe I'm just vaped.. Get my MV back from MVHQ today too so that's only gonna make matters wor... Sorry better.

I was resistant to the notion that cannabis can be bad for the heart, but it can be. I had a friend whose doctor told him that his cannabis use was increasing his heart-rate. I didn't believe him. Then it happened to another. Not long ago there was a study that made headlines asserting the same thing.

There is certainly the possibility so let's be careful with our assertions.

I, on the other hand, vape before running 10k's weekly. LOVE IT. Seems to help me keep my heart rate lower. Recovery time is lessened and endurance increased. Honestly, I tend to be a bit slower than when not vaped. SO the compromise is a bit of speed. I do it for fun anyway...so no probs

It's also your physical activity!
I flew around the world in first class and sit next to 30 year millionaires with big bellies! I was 40 at the time and way healthier and more fit. Being a cyclist and surfer and a holistic diet was the biggest factor. Now that I have a late on set illness (genetics).
Cannabis is way healthier than the 7 medication drugs the experts gave me.

Cannabis is only good if everything else is in check.

A bad heart is a bad heart.

Lifestyle plays an important part.

Story:
Many years ago when I was 40 I surfed with a 70 year old man in HAWAII 30 foot + waves.

The biggest wave of the day came in and he paddled as fast as he could to catch it. I paddled for safety in the channel. He rode the wave with skill.
Smile from ear to ear. Latter that session he says to me "HEALTH is your WEALTH"! If your not healthy your not wealthy!

Cannabis is the only thing that works for my condition. (I take no drugs)

My assessment is wrong in your eyes and that is fair. I had my heart rate check my last doctor visit and the Nurse said that: "at least your heart is healthy"!

Cannabis is like herbal tea in my eyes.
If someone has a unhealthy heart I believe it's genetics or life style!

Good luck in your race!

Multiple reports state that "smoking" marijuana can raise your heart rate 20 to 60 beats per minute. In my opinion, unless you have some underlying heart condition.............big woop to doo. My resting heart rate is 47 to 50 BPM. That means that after an MJ session, my heart may rise to a low of 70bpm to a high of 110bpm. When I run, my heart rate typically stays at between 128 to 135 beats per min for about an hour (I'm 70 years old. If I was younger I would be working out at a much higher level).

But even for those that don't do a lot of cardio, I can't see how a person without any on-going heart conditions would be in danger if their HR raising these amounts for such a short period of time.

But, if you haven't had a physical lately (that is, you don't know how healthy your heart is) and/or you are not in at least average physical shape, it could be a concern.
