But one important point that I have found is that sometimes upon recharging the batteries the capacity has dropped a lot, the Maha charger shows after charging what the charged capacity is and sometimes I have seen it as low 550!
No offense meant here, but you are mis interpreting the readings. Unless you do a refresh-analyze cycle you are only seeing the charge that was put into the battery to top it up. In other words your batteries hold 2500 mAh but you are already charging them when they have only dropped to about 1900 mAh showing you that only 550 mAh got put into the battery not that 550 mAh is the batteries capacity.
Hi Deepfried,

Absolutely no offense taken, I really appreciate all the great information that is shared on this site and in psoting I was trying to contribute something back :/

I can see what you are saying altho I didn't realise that was how I should intrepret the MAH reading after charging, i.e. the MAH figure is the what has gone into the battery and not the final charged capacity.

What I am seeing is this; if I begin with a 'refresh and analyse' the batteries will show (roughly) say 2500 mah. Then after depleting them on a few trenches I will next do a 'charge' after which the batteries show say 2200 mah, I use them again and again I charge and then batteries show say 2000 mah, the next charge less again etc etc, what I am finding after several charges the mah figure will have dropped say below 1500mah (at this point I am finding the batteries no longer have the 'punch' that they had when they were showing 2500 mah, and that's when I am tending to do another 'refresh and analyse' and that brings the mah back to roughly 2500 mah again and once more the batteries will seem good and strong again.

I am a complete layman regarding battery charging and I have been basing my assumptions upon the association of the larger the mah figure showing after the charge the stronger the batteries seem when I use them. However from what you are pointing out is it then more correct to view the mah as the charge that was put in to the battery (as you said) and the explanation of the decreasing mah displayed on subsequent charges as merely because after each charge and use that the battery's resulting capacity has lowered (meaning it couldn't accept as much of a charge as the previous time (until the next 'refresh and analyse' brings them back to peak again)?

Let me know if I have got it now, thanks :)

I got mine a few weeks ago, and it came with the small clear container.

Quality unit. Been using it often; and I believe I'll continue to do so.

Longburn, yes exactly. Capacity of full charge will decrease over time exactly as you have experienced. But if it is showing only 550 mAh after charging from completely drained then for sure it needs to be refreshed.

When you shake the LB between each hit, is it important to get ALL of the herb back in the trench and off the sides? I'm just wondering if I'm being overly cautious because I've been brushing everything back in the trench after every shake up. If it's not necessary it'd make use a little quicker for me haha.

Not necessary in my few days of use. I shake it upside Down And then just truly best to flick the box or hit it gently with the butt of the battery to knock as much as I can back in the trench.

lol, you don't have to brush between hits Biw. Shaking is good and if you have to open lid and push some herb back into trench you can but don't have to brush. I've found too that I can tap the box against my knuckle to tumble the stuff without it really leaving the trench.

You'll find what works best for you with a little practice ;)

Ok guys, before i buy this unit right now i have a quick question.

I plan on getting this so me and my boys can enjoy a vape high while smoking watevever else.

Do you guys recomend me buying the kit for 99 and 2 extra batterys? Does the stock charger charge 4 batteries at once?

Or should i buy a new charger and batterys from somewhere else?

Stock charger only handles 2 batteries.

Hmm, so that prob wouldnt be my best bet. Anyone else wanna chime in? I heard one battery per 1 trench? So one trench is about 10-15 hits? so 2 batterys would get 3 people buzzed i hope

If you plan on using it daily, I'd recommend a different charger (a faster one) that holds 4. But if you are doing it occasionally....the standard charger is fine.

I'd recommend picking up the 2 extra batteries whether you get it there or locally, but the eneloops are recommended. The best price I've seen on eneloops (which is what they use), is at shoppers drug mart when they have it for $7 for 4 of them but the sale doesn't happen often but when they do stock up :)

but otherwise, they are typically $12-$15 for 4

good luck and you can't go wrong :)

Vaping and smoking at the same time? I don't get it. Do you expect vapor to add to your smoking experience? :hmm: I just don't see the benefit of doing both at the same time. It certainly won't give you a good idea of the vapor high. IMO, if you want to experience the difference, you should commit yourself to vapor for a few days, or at least one.

I heard one battery per 1 trench? So one trench is about 10-15 hits? so 2 batterys would get 3 people buzzed i hope
It's like asking 'how many hits do you get per bowl'? Too many variables for a good, concrete answer. How much are you loading? There is no set amount for a trench. How much you can get in it even depends on how finely it's ground. How big are your hits? How hard are you drawing? How long are you leaving the battery connected? That alone can greatly affect how long a trench lasts. How much does it take person A to get buzzed, vs. person B? I would say that if used properly, with patience, two batteries would easily get 3 buzzed. But with all the variables, including differences between people, what you expect, and how each person is using it, there's certainly no guarantee.

If you want a good charger and extra batteries, check amazon and thomasdistributing.com for MAHA/Powerex. Thomas currently has the MAHA 204GT charger on sale for $15.

I feel you on the smoking / vaping part... but i know for sure someone will say oh i have a joint or blunt rolled up and it will be after or before the vape lol. That i cant control.

So im guessing im better off buying the kit + charger + 2 batteries and then buying the maha charger for 15

That way i have 4 batteries a regular charger i can leave at home and a rapid charger anywhere else

Sorry for not being too detailed nut I was nearing the end of my lunch hour.

Now, it all depends on how much you load into a trench, how good your batteries are, how good your herb is, how fine the griind is and how dry it is. You can work with slightly less than dry herb because the first few draws/hits will dry it out, and you can then crumble it if you so desire and keep vaping.

With a fresh 2700 mah battery and a 1/2-2/3 loaded trench, I start of with 3-5 hits. By the time I've crumbled the load and put it back in the trench, I'm good to go for a few hours. And then I take another 3-4 hits using a fresh battery. Depending on circumstances, I'll hit the trench again in another few hours or save the abv.

I could easily use the first battery for subsequent uses but I choose not to. 2 batteries should easily get 3 people buzzed, providing they remember to remove the battery when not drawing.

Anyone else like to milk their glass with the LB?

I was definitely surprised about the density of the vapor. Much thicker than I expected. I prefer this a lot more over hitting it from one of the stems when I am at home.

I made a bong out of a large water bottle and it defiantly hits very well with water filtration. I went to home depot and bout some plastic tubing and it works just fine..

Look at you go Sahara! That's quite impressive. I would never have thought that amount of vapor would come out of the LB.

The LB works better with small bubblers, more feedback, less chance of burning the load because of insufficent draw rate. If you want to milk those big tubes get a Supreme Vaporizer!:ko:

Does the LB fit in your jeans' fifth pocket? If it does, and it protrudes, by how much?
A pic would be awesome.
Thanks

I just got this the other day. Its works decently but honestly for the kind of thing it is $100 is wayy to much for this. Should be about $50 tops

I would say it is worth every penny of the $100, but the real bonus is low impact to health , conservation of herb ect. not to mention the almost unherd of warranty! Sounds like a good deal to me!:)

i was gonna order this unit off of vapeworld using the coupon code FC2010, which would make the cost for the LB + 2 extra batteries $100. Then I read about people getting older models from vapeworld, and that blissSville has the most recent models, is there any truth to this? If I order from blissSville the total will be $107, is the $7 increase worth getting a more recent model? Are there any significant changes in models that I would want to be aware of?

thanks, and sorry for the barrage of questions. I plan on ordering today :)
