Pbw is also really good, there is a thread on it with all the info you need. My elbs and glass come out brand new. Only thing to make sure to wash all of it out sometimes it looks clean but I look and see particles at the bottom, probably because I use to much pbw

Are there any active FC codes that would work with the vapexnail or ELBs?

Shipping is 15 dollars for 2 vapexnails and 4 elbs? What? I'm in the US. How could it cost Vapexhale that much to ship it?

I bought a cheap ultrasonic cleaner for the VXN's and it's gotten them much cleaner than simply using ISO or PBW and a brush. Ran them through it several times with PBW and hot water and now and got them spotless. If it doesn't get it clean you just need to soak and run it longer until they are. Right now my routine is to just soak them in ISO to clean them until there's the build up starts accumulating and then run them through the ultrasonic cleaner, usually every couple days depending on use.

I also got my SideTree in the mail on Wednesday. Comparing it to the SideCirc, it has less diffusion, more air flow, less drag and more flavour. I've only tried it with oil so far, the flavor is nice but I find it a bit harsh for me. My Mobius Clear is still my daily driver but options are always nice to have.

Re the FC codes, I don't think so unless those items are now being sold through retailers.

Re the shipping, was/is the shipping Priority Mail? I ordered from VXL not long ago and to my chagrin found that the only shipping option was Priority, and that was near as expensive as the items. (VXL must have its reasons, which IMHO would be wise to share with buyers.) Combine that with the parcel size necessary to protect the glass and the cost goes up as you saw.

A small flat-rate priority mail box should be sufficient to ship vxn's and elb's.
The box and tracking are free, and the cost of mailing is $5.80 if you print your own label.
It's not like vxc is the only company to do this, but it bothers me as well.

I'm not at all sure about this, but per chance is VXL doing its fulfillment through a 3rd-party now? That could account for the uplift.

It says standard shipping. If I take off the nails, the shipping is only 5 dollars. To me it seems like they are taking profit from their shipping prices which is just wrong IMO. If there is another explanation, I am all ears though. Perhaps it is because they use a third party shipping company. Shipping wasn't my only qualm with the price. My total is $85 for some screens and a couple pieces of generic glass. It feels like everything is overpriced. I guess I will bite the bullet, but I am not a happy customer.

I probably won't be using the VXNs, at least not starting out. Do you feel an ultrasonic cleaner is useful for the ELBs? Also, I assume there's no way to get an ultrasonic cleaner that would work on waterpipes, since you'd need a very large one?

A week or so ago I ordered a 5 pack VXN and a cloud buddy. Shipping was $25 UPS. I emailed support (the right place to question) and pointed out the 5-pack of VXNs would be cheaper to pay more and get free shipping from Planet Vapes (they have them). VapeXhale gave me a one-time-only code which changed shipping methods and shipping costs: USPS - I got it in 4 or 5 days.

Not saying it works all the time, but no harm in asking.

I barely use the ELB's so I can't comment on that directly but if there's crud that's not coming off with normal cleaning it should clean them better. They make larger ones that could hold a waterpipe but you'll need to spend a few hundred dollars to get one that fits.

I take one of those plastic stem cases for the solo and fill it with hot water and alittle pbw. I leave room for shaking so I don't fill it to the top. It comes out clean after a few shakes

Sometimes simple is the way to go

I find that ISO and shake/soak only isn't enough. The bottom part of the ELB always still have some percentage of the holes clogged. So I use PBW and hot water, and THEN do the ISO, and then hot water and cold water. They come out 99% clean...enough to satisfy my OCD anyway :) I really hate the maintenance of ELBS...I have 8 of them, but they need to be replaced after only a few uses, even brushing them out. I suppose you can keep going, but the walls of the ELB seem to cake up quick.

I'm quite intrigued by the one video here using an Arizer double female bowl....vapenstone, you said you wouldn't do it again? Looks awesome to be able to eliminate the ELB.

I also wanted to join the list of those asking about the botanicals. They have been on the website since the original Cloud days. I'm going with it's a legal thing and we will never see them since they don't seem to be a priority. I hope i'm wrong though, Papa Monkey rules.

Just upgrade from a cloud (not the oldest one but not the cloud + too) to a evo and im supposed to receive it in 2 day!!!

Im a little worried about the review of overheating but i buy my unit from vaporizer.ca (crazy good service i call them and 2h later my evo was on the post with free shipping and they still post it express post and pay all taxes)they offer me a 1 year warranty directly with them and they said they receive those unit just 3 week ago so the firmware problem should be solve (i suppose i still got a warranty direct with the company.Do i need to register?).

One of my friends want to buy my old cloud but its hard to lets it go it give me such good service but by the way you guy talk about the evo it should put my old cloud on the closet anyway lol.

Does anyone use Everclear to clean ELB's or glass? I'm a little leery of Iso, it seems like a pretty nasty chemical to inhale. I know it's supposed to evaporate, but I like to be safe.

On the other hand, Everclear is 95% grain alcohol- the balance being sugar & who knows what else. So there may be other residual material left behind after using it for cleaning.

I do an everclear soak then water rinse then put the ELBs in the oven at 225 for a few hours

I have found the ELBs to be sort of effortless to maintain, and I actually kinda love them in general. nothing like lining a bunch of ELBs with very little material in each and taking multiple flavor blasts in a row. when I took the EVO on vacation to share with a bunch of my friends last month, we would occasionally sit around a table and each load up an ELB for ourselves. we would then pass the EVO around the table, each taking a rip, but keeping our own ELBs the whole time. it's just so easy to pop out an ELB and pop in a new one. it was great. everyone had their own ELB so they could use whatever quantity or material they wanted, everybody got their own green hit and took their extraction as far as they wanted, and the ritual of rotation was preserved. one of my good friends ended up purchasing an EVO after the trip.

anyway I have a little brush that is perfectly suited for the job, and I just brush out each ELB pretty thoroughly after each use. I use 6 ELBs in rotation at the moment and do an ISO soak about every week. rinse the ELBs under a fast running faucet of cold water as I pluck them out of the ISO, let them dry and they come out mostly pristine. I'm not seeing blocked holes. I think regular brushing keeps them clean and takes minimal time and effort

. . . Looks awesome to be able to eliminate the ELB . . .

Eliminating the ELB sacrifices extraction efficiency. They are designed to create turbulence for maximum, even exposure of the herb to the airflow.

Everclear is ethanol. IIRC isopropyl is more effective as a solvent, evaporates more quickly, and is more thorough (i.e., leaves less residue behind). But ethanol is safer to handle.

If you're worried about safety when using ISO you can get an organic vapor respirator/mask and that should keep you safe from the fumes. Probably about $20 at the hardware store.
