The Lotus Vaporizer

Yes i smoked 15 years tobacco+MMJ since i met my first vape and FC guys. 10 days after, no more nicotine too.

IME Lotus+hash need bed of flower first then stir and spread but you can count on a specific screen to be used exclusevely for hash alone, just have to stir with a hard stick onto the screen, a bit clogging thing.
I do the cotton method with shatter and my other vaporizers.
Hash and cotton in the LOTUS will be a test I'll try!

Extra screen if I mix it with flower.
Thanks for the tip!
@ataxian
I like it on a bed of flowers myself - so much nicer than cotton.

That bubbler you have with the blue fritted disk looks perfect for the lotus. Where did you pick it up?

I'm a cheap ass when it comes to somethings.
The bubbbler was from dhgate
Wholesale - honey comb glass ASH CATCHER glass water pipe glass bong with 18.8mm bowl Blue and all Clear color Free shipping
Sold by kathy0577
$30.62 including shipping

I use a really small piece of organic cotton to wrap concentrates and vape with no off flavors.
However mixing hash with flowers is easy to do. I'll try it in a LOTUS!
Thank you!

So I did the deed and have the dual kit coming. Caught the 4july sale a few seconds into it. Tracking currently indicates leaving Cali. :D

Been doing some shopping while I wait.

In going throw the thread, I settled on this guy.

Lighter $9.48

Finding the glass pieces I envisioned was a little hard but found at GreenBudd.

Stuff from GreenBudd $41.96

14mmstand_zps8606bd0f.jpeg
14mmSlit_zps0e074972.jpeg
14mmz_zps8f2eb0e2.jpeg
14mm90_zps093051ba.jpeg

And figured wtf, and got a nail as well.

Domeless Ti 14mm male Nail $9.99

All the accessories for around $60 and should give me some options. A big reason for my choices was the fact I want to make use of my water tubes as well. The Y tube will allow this.

Once I get it all I will post different configurations.
Any thoughts? I'm so impulsive....

I like the angle of the lighter.
Should work great!

I have the same lighter and it works great. I also like that it is bigger than the honest lighters so I don't have to refill on butane as often.

I also use the same green buddha 14mm holder as a stand for my lotus when it isn't in use. Great choice on the lotus, it's a really great vape.

Using just for the Lotus never actually crossed my mind. Good idea though.
My plan is to use as a base (and to block the male hole) for the Y tube and can make a stand up pipe from the lot. Lotus (or nail) on one side and the other parts on the other side. Or use the WTs instead of the 90. Cheaper than most bubblers and can be configured a few ways. Never knew glass could be fun. Us guys and our lego you know....

Yeah, that lighter does look nice... just been sticking with the Honest's up to now, but I might look into this one.
The honest works!
The angle is what I prefer and is easier to use that @Pipes posted.

Is there a fuel window on this guy? I don't see one. I like that it has a keyless flame adjustment.
I don't think so. It's being posted a few times from various places. Maybe a current owner can chime in.?
It was also posted from Fast Tech for $8 somewhere as well, but couldn't find it again.

There isn't a fuel window in it. The flame adjustment is very easy though and the flame stays more consistent than my honest lighters. The fuel chamber is pretty big. I was surprised how big the lighter was when I got it.
Same here. I bought 3 other more expensive then honest and it was pure shit ! I suppose I can tell "thanks to your comments" or someone else...I bought it. I have and use Honest too btw. Only the Jobon do good even if it was much bigger than i thought, comfortable to handle then ! However I find it to get pretty low on gas fast considering the size (for keeping a good size flame). I've found that you don't need an as long flame as with the Honest one, cause the sharpness and distance from "inner" to "outer" flame is different. Or you can use the same and get good result as well. All about technique too..

So in conclusion you get a much more sharp and consistent (precision) flame this is for sure. Also has a lock-on option and security-block.

I couldn't make the HONEST or my HIGH END lighters work?
@jamandphan03 posted this lighter in the photo to the left and the LOTUS came alive for me.
The one @Pipes posted has the same angle.
I like the ergonomics of it.
Mine has a double flame option however I use the single function for flower.

It does! The one I got with my Lotus had been working so well I bought another the same. Good purge and fill technique's all that's required imo.
The one @Pipes posted does look sweet though (if it works well) :D

And that bubbler you have looks just perfect (line of sight etc) for the Lotus...
I find the HONEST lighter does work OK. The angle of alternative lighters is a better option for me however the HONEST is fine if you can handle it!
From a business stand point I would offer both angles for different needs! IMHO

Okay you guys have convinced me to upgrade my torch. The standard honest is okay, the flame is a bit inconsistent and stutters/goes out no matter how much I "bleed" it. I ordered a couple of the real cheapies from china that @OF recommends a month or two ago, who knows if they'll ever show up.

So I've had these in my fleebay cart for a while:

"Joban welding torch"
and

"Zico regal t-38"

They're both the same price, and I'm pretty sure this zico has been highly-recommended here as well.
It does seem like it would be more ergonomic, so I'm leaning toward it. Besides tank size, what other differences might there be between these models? Now I want them both dammit.

I have the Rico and I like it a lot. It feels great in your hand and HAS a fuel window. It is not quite as hot as some of my other torches, but it seems to work well enough with the Lotus.

I think the top one you linked to (the Joban) has an easily adjustable flame, rather than using a tool.
Can someone confirm?

Yes, it does. The Rico has a small screw for that, which is not ideal. My only problem with the Jobon is no fuel window.

I have two Jobon torches, both have easy adjustment valves to change torch length (very handy). One has a nice flame, the other (trigger style torch) is not good because it doesn't have a sharp tip.
(Note I do not have that jobon you have pictured - I want to buy that for my next purchase)

I have the Zico T-38 - I hated it at first because the torch wouldn't light no matter how many times I bled or burped it. Then I cranked the torch length up to max and then past max (not recommended unless you are about to throw out a 'DOA' torch). Once I fixed the torch, I love it - it's my main torch because it holds a fair amount of gas and is reliable every time (doesn't sputter out, no matter what, even if the wind is howling!).

I have the Joban or jobon... Never tried the other one. I typically don't adjust neither but when gas go low you must adjust then. The jobon is really nice to light on ! Can do it with the thumb or index easily and has a good angle. Maybe the Zico is harder to "click" on and maintain..
