I believe there isn't. But if hot air come through the bottom circulates through the material then out the side hole to the mouth piece, that's convection right???

They have screens to put in for herb, one completely surrounds the chamber (convection) and the other is open on sides and they say it's 70% conduction 30% convection. Does that make sense

As far as I know thats not true convection. If its true convection hot air should pass evenly through the herb and to the mouthpiece. I dont know what to call this, but its not my idea of true convection. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will chime in because I'm far from an expert.

I hesitate to comment on how much convection could be taking place without ever using one or even seeing one in person. But I would think that without a direct path through the entire chamber, the vapor is mostly being generated by other means.

At the end of the day of course, it doesn't really matter how we get our vapor. Just as long as we get our vapor. :brow:

Very true there is no lack of vapor that's for damn sure haha

@Stu well looks like u gotta grab this guy and give us ur feedback lol

So I took a close look at the vapor path hopefully stu can post my pics. My assumption is a stainless steel sleeve that swivels with the top power switch/lever and has two offset holes in it, one for each chamber. So when u throw the switch the sleeve turns back and forth to it's corrisponding hole for each chamber. 2-4inches from the top looks plastic but the mouth piece goes in 2-4inches so it's all stainless from the chamber to the glass or stainless mouth piece. Btw there is an o-ring at the top for an air tight seal so the vapor doesn't touch the plastic or escape.

Ok so I'm bored at work and keep editing this post. I'm using my haze now thinking about the air path ok here it goes...

The hole on the bottom of the chamber (in the earlier post) is where the air is drawn from and travels through the hot chamber and heats up. The oil can, that stupid me didn't show the bottom has two dents that raise it off the bottom of the chamber so the air u draw can pass through. The oil can lid is rubber or silicone or whatever. When the chamber is closed it creates a seal. Make sure the lid is seated properly and not pushed into the can. The lid has an indent for the hot air to go up the side of the can and only in that top hole of the lid then pass though the material and out the hole in the front that is seperated by the raised rubber on the lid. Boooom convection!!!!!! Lol how does that sound? I just vaped some wax so I could be wrong hahaha I'm way too bored! ok guys and girls let me know what u think.

@scottg402 that throws out trying to vape with no lid kinda messes up the concept. Lol

I think the lid is the best part since it prevents mess. No cleaning required in chambers.

If its hot you can pull the can out with by the hooks with the tweezers they provide and put it on a heat resistant surface or run it under water to cool it down.

They advertise convection in the cans. I am far from an expert but it looks like there is some conduction going on. At least it looks that way with herb in the can.

These things are unimportant to me as long as I get good vapor. ;)

One of my buddies said that he mixed wax and dry herb in the same oil can and he says that the taste and amount of vapor is unbelievable. I am still out of wax but as soon as i get some, i will give it a shot.

Can anyone tell me what material these cans are made of? I still can't quite wrap my head around the design of these cans. How many sides/walls are made from the black material and how many sides/walls are stainless steel? A video would be helpful if someone could post one? :shrug:

it says those bowls are stainless steel as well. There is a video on their homepage which shows the interworkings.

I can verify the wax/herb combo. Woooow pretty much sums it up. I have one loaded up in my haze now for a Wake n' Vape haha, anyway it's kicking my ass. Lol love it

Sorry if this has been answered but would the stems from a solo be interchangable with the haze stems . It is a longshot but ihave a lot of solo stems

Here's a bit of compressed kief hash just one hit quick vid

Btw that tiny piece lasted about 25 30 min!!!! I will say tho when it gets to the end and the hash or kief is really dry and crumbly, little pieces can enter the chamber and mouthpiece. I made a little screen mod to prevent this from happening with hash and kief from my experience. All I did was just cut one of the conduction screens a little more than half way and cut the wings off. So I just cut it to fit in the front where the chamber hole is and place the can on top of the screen. Problem solved.

Lol good to hear Trevor. Well I have a bit of bad/good news. So earlier I notified haze that the o-ring on my unit seemed to be coming out of it's place. They told me if I wanted to I could send it to them to look at and they would see if it's defective and replace it so I said no cuz I didn't want to go without my haze. So now it has ripped and come out of my unit. Also idk if it the battery or charger. I'm thinking charger but it won't charge 2 at once. Mind you the battery and charger have no warranty. Here is what Amy from haze, who has been helping emailed me...

My team just emailed me. The o-ring is built into the top selector switch and it will require you to disassemble the top part to replace it so I will send you another unit tomorrow along with a return label. Once you receive the new unit and the label, please drop the old unit in the mail for me so we can examine what caused this. If you still have the o-ring, please also place it in the box. I apologize for this.

I'm going to call the two batteries A and B. I put the battery A in on the left it turns red. I put the battery B in an it on the right it stays green. Remove.Battery B on right first turns red. Battery A on the right and turns red. Battery B turns green.Remove.Battery A on right first turns red. Battery B on left stays green

So to sum it up I'm getting a new unit I guess I doubt they will ask for it back and send back the original. And they're sending my a charger and battery to see where the problem is with that for nothing. Great customer service IMO.

Rizzo, no they are not. Solo stems are much larger in diameter.

I'm still using my haze there is just a lil exta air being drawn so I'm still vaping my dabs they're yummy haha

What i notice is, with Haze I dont even have to grind the herb when I am using the oil can. It performs as good. With my Ascent, I would have to grind fine otherwise I would have hard time drawing. Anybodyelse experienced this? I think the screen usage is similar but the cans are the bomb.
