Cory Glass Designs re/incyclers - high function and affordable?

I am totally with syrupy on this one. I am dying to get my hands on a Cory recycler but I am totally uninterested in shelling out a couple hundred bucks to someone who cannot respond to a simple message. This is not good business plain and simple

If you are dying for it, I suggest biting the bullet and paying up before the wait gets any worse. I may get pissy about it, but you don't see me sending any messages to cgd saying I want out. What's that saying? "A beautiful rig heals all wounds."

Does anyone know what the actual wait time is at this point?

I don't think even Cory could tell you that honestly. I would say a month minimum and it really just seems to depend on when he gets to it. It seems if you want some of Cory's glass you will have to sit and wait until you're lucky enough to get the call. Of you can pay more and get some other glass quicker. Don't have mine yet obviously but I'm perfectly ok with the wait and know it will be well worth it:2c:

He also doesn't seem to be hurting for business so I wouldn't expect the communication to change

I always skip this episode because it makes me cry. I once heard a true story of a man who died and his dog waited for him for like 10 years until the dog died. It was a small town where people knew the man and his dog. They fed it every day and let it run free. It spent hours at his house and grave everyday. I am tearing up right now just thinking about it. I love dogs so much. Truly man's best friend

Yeah, there's a few of those. A dog in Argentina slept 6 years at his master's grave, and one in China was so protective nobody could even get near the grave except family and people the dog approved of.

But the cake is that little Terrier in Scotland who waited 14 years. Humans have to promise "death to us part" but dogs do that naturally.

And yes, the topic of long waits seems appropriate here.

Not that i'm defending his communication... but to be fair art isn't business plain and simple, no matter if it's good or bad

They seem different, but the artists start the business part once they ask to be paid. Can't have one without the other. So they need to learn both dances.

This is why actors have agents, and painters have galleries.

While I feel let down by how Cory handles communication, we all should keep in mind that the fact that there is no gallery or retailer handling the orders is the only reason why we get those prices.
Not defending him, I myself am anything but happy with how my last order got handled, eventhough it came through.

Personally I'll be relieved when Kathy and Sunshinestore start carrying the Cory clones.

Oh, come on now.

Only problem is, will it ever cycle like that:bowdown: Every time I watch that video it gives me hope haha

Man, the wildest part is the function is so perfect once you get it started the action helps it cycle and its sooo easy to hit. like zero drag. With my evo i can clear full elbs with one hit by pulling as hard as I can and the vortex function helping pull that extra bit aha. I'm going to remake, "i'm in love with a stripper" into "I'm in love with a recycler"

She turbinin', she flowin she flowin
She percin that vapour and
I'm N Luv with a recycler
She trippin I'm hittin she playin
I'm not goin nowhere girl I'm stayin
I'm N Luv with a recycler

Double post, my bad. This forum isn't active enough lol

He offered to send an invoice today, so I said fuck yes! Patiently awaiting his next email with my invoice (may be 1 year from now..)

Joking.. haha. His integrity, trustability and legitimacy is NOT in question. There are people here with Cory pieces, so that dispels that insecurity.. The issue here (and one that I have suffered) is impatience on the customer's behalf. Art can't be rushed, so despite my stupid comments earlier that may have been out of line; I am happy to wait for my dream glass.

Let the waiting begin (again)

I seriously lust for that recycler, and intended to wait until the orders slowed down, but that doesn't seem to be happening. I don't particularly want to sign up to KIK just for this order, but that seems to be the best (or only) way to do business with Cory. And from all I am hearing it seems to be well worth it once the process is complete.
Does anyone who has one invert a vape as big as a HA on it? Seems like it would be more suited to a Lotus or other smaller device. I've seen it being held, but does anyone have dimensions?

KIK is the only way. I tried to get him to move over to an email convo with me but in the end he requested that we take it back over to KIK
It's not so bad once you finally download the app and make an account. Pretty cool features actually, and very good for sending photos / image urls of inspirations or suggestions for the glass.

I am not griping about it, but can understand where people are coming from when they do not want to sign up. I have enjoyed following this thread, but I still have little/no interest in buying from Cory at this time.

For me, it is moot if you can set KIK up with real or fake info, I simply do not want any other accounts or log-ins to keep up with; I certainly do not want any more unwanted emails and notifications either. This is my choice and I go without buying from people like Cory for this reason.

In this day and age, if a retailer refuses to simply use email, they are not a person I want to do business with. Considering it is the easiest method of communication and damn near everyone has access to, why force potential customers to sign up for additional websites just to communicate?

He has cool glass, but I rather do business with a shop/artist I can email or call. There are so many great retailers and shops out there, thousands of them, I am not interested in jumping through hoops or signing up for any new sites just to contact someone... IMO there are too many good retailers and LHS out there that make buying and communicating far easier.

Rant over.

I don't know, if I was in a non-medical state, I might think twice about using KIK for these transactions for security reasons. Sure you can put in fake info, but the whole thing is tied to a cell phone, which is the easiest way to identify someone. Maybe a non-issue since everyone vapes tobacco and spearmint. ;)

How can KIK be better than email? I hate typing on a phone. Hate it. All my photos are on my pc and I'd rather email them than transfer them to the phone first. Email looks so much more professional, even buying a domain name and having joe@joeglassdesigns.com is like $15 a year.

Hit me up Cory, let's talk about this. Just please, in an email. :brow:

Reading some of the posts (esp. mine), I wish there was a Wating Room/Anticipation thread, to not clog this thread up with my waiting-for-paint-to-dry posts (yeah there is self-control too). This thread has been really informative teaching me about recyclers and function.:clap::tup:

Now there is hardly ever going to be any post in this thread because everyone here is waiting for a piece or a response about a piece. I would love to see members posting pictures and videos of their new Cory glass and telling success stories but that is like a fable from a parallel universe. I actually just broke down and got a Instagram so I could see what's up on there... Just more inconsistent posting and inability to communicate with the many people who are perspective clients. Apparently the better you get at blowing glass is somehow related to blowing people off
