yeah I don't think your the only one. I emailed them last night about a broken launchbox and still haven't got a reply. Although I think I should give them a bit more time (at least until the day is over)...

that's what I'm talking about folks. These guys are great to their customers and if they don't respond promptly on occasion, they have their reasons. No need to apologize magic-flight, whatever youre doing will eventually benefit everyone.

I just grabbed some random energizer batteries cuz mine keep disappearing. When I got them home I did a discharge/charge cycle in my charger, which drains the batteries and then charges them up, letting me know their capacity. The 4 ranged from 1200 mAh to 1900 mAh, but they were rated at 2300 mAh. I then did a charge refresh cycle, which I think drains and recharges many times, but who knows what magic it works. It took almost a day to complete, and when it was done the lowest rating I got was 2500 mAh and the high was 3000 mAh.

I use a lacrosse BC-9009. I found out later that these sometimes have meltdown issues, but mine's worked like champ in the 4 months I've owned it. If I melt down, I'll let ya know.

I have 3 'decent' charger (two are energizer) and i dont know about this refresh... is there any other way to discharge the batteries ?

And may I say, what a nifty little thing this is! I took my first "magic flight" after charging the batteries. One battery lasted two trenches. I'm toasted:ko:and loving it. I had the same reaction many of you did when I first saw the size; sort of a hmmm. Couldn't believe it was going to work as well as it did, but let me tell you, this thing is great. I used the stem and felt the hit was really smooth. Pretty easy learning curve. I think once I get the true hang of it, one trench will be fine. I sort of combusted the first one.

I ordered it from Vape World and they, in addition to offering a 12% discount to fc members and free shipping, were really great to deal with; good communication and quick shipping.

So, all in all, I give this baby two thumbs up.

@momofthegoons Congrats. Nifty little gadget isn't it? I'm still learning as I've only had it 2 days myself. I haven't combusted yet, but I did manage to get some thick hits, and coughed once. But yeah, it sure does the job!

Question to anyone who knows about batteries; short of placing the batteries in a charger which can identify capacity, is there any way to distinguish eneloops (the ones tha come with the LB precharged) from other normal NIMH's? I now have no idea which of 8 batteries are the enelops and which are other high capacity NIMHs.

Eneloops have what looks like a black rubber gasket on the + end. I have my batteries numbered to avoid any confusion.

I ordered two launchboxes, one for me and one for a friend. The one i chose for myself wouldn't draw properly for some reason(if anyone has any ideas, please...!) and so i wrote blissville and received an email back within 24 hours with the steps i needed to take to get a replacement.

I send back the requisite info and they've informed me that my new launch box is enroute.

Props Magic-Flight for your great service, especially considering you're in the process of shifting, and a recommendation of this product to all FC members. I've been using my friend's LB whenever possible!

hey i was considering purchasing this product but i have acouple questions.
i was wondering if anyone in canada that has purchased one could tell me how long the shipping takes, also i was wondering with the original battery charger and the batteries how long they take to fully charge

I got my MFB today. Bought it Friday night after a horrible day at work, lol.

Came from FLA to Cali in perfect time since I am going camping this weekend.

Anyways I think I was "shorted" the small/short stem. I got the one as long as the brush almost, but figure the other is MIA.

Got a weird wooden 4 clover lookin grinder with metal stubs to do the work.

OH, so my first use right away was of some Blue Dream...cough, too much heat for too long. Rookie mistake, but I am so vaked now...2 hours later. I love this lil thing.

i'd say 7-10 business days....personally it has been quick for me....as for the charger..i don't have that one so i cannot comment....good luck!

I have 6 batteries, when we vape together I give my girl a batt. and myself one, we trade the box back and forth, it keeps the batts. from heating up too fast. 6 batts. lets me travel away from home for a day at a time.

Kweli, this is something I wrote about 7 pages ago, but I thought it applied to your case:

I've used a couple different kinds of Energizer's with widely varying results. The ones where the labels peeled off easily, sucked, I would barely get any vapor, and maybe 2-3 small hits. It took a lot of time and money to figure out which ones to buy. The ones that kick ass, I got from Wal-Mart. The way to identify them is, at the top right it says NEW and right under that says NOUVEAU. On the left side of the pack it says 4X in pink and on the right side it has a pink number 150 on it... now these rock! The labels have an adhesive which makes it a little of a bitch to peel, but well worth it. I can get around 15-20 good hits off of each battery.

will any battery charger work, im sure i have one laying around the house. to me getting 1 bowl off a battery doesnt sound 2 great.

Were they those grey ones with a bit of green on them that come with a silver 4-battery charger? I had some that i got at walmart, exact same amp rating or whatever, and had used in my digital camera for about a year or so (didnt see that much use really). When i got my LB i cut the labels off (they came off really easy, no adhesive, which was the only thing good about them) and tried them out, the 2400's and the 2000's both lit the LED very dimly, even though they seemed to be making solid contact. Tried charging them overnight in their charger and same deal next day. Tried charging them in the charger that came with my box and still dim.

Seems energizer is just a brand to avoid. I've always preferred duracell between the two, but i'm not sure how their rechargeables work in the box either. Thankfully, the 2 included batteries have been more than enough to get me through my days until i get home to my desktop vape, so i can take my time deciding on a decent set of spares.

can't wait for that power adapter!

I've used the rechargeable NiMH Duracells, and they have worked fine for me. I have two of those with a charger, and 6 Eneloops with the Sanyo charger---all the batteries work very well for me . . .

Thanks for the info! I'll probably grab some next time i'm out at walmart. I'm sure i'll vape a trench while i'm there too! lol

This made me perk up; mine is very difficult to draw though and I just figured that was the design.

Is there any way to judge how hard you should be drawing?

The instructions say to draw slowly and that's the only way you can on mine... if you REALLY suck (no comments from the peanut gallery) you can get the contents to swirl the teensiest bit. Is that typical?

I wonder about oxidation on the contacts. My LB sat for awhile and when I used it last, I had to turn the battery in the chamber to get contact. Rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip to clean the battery chamber contacts?

i need to twist the battery a bit sometimes to get mine to light up fully too. I think it's more to do with the negative not making good contact (that circular bit of wire around the inside of the battery hole). It could probably be "fixed" by just compressing the circle and making it a bit smaller, i'd imagine.

Hey Reprobate,

When i wrote Magic-flight, they said that you shouldn't have to draw very hard. You're supposed to draw slowly in order to use the device, but the flow should be clear from my experience. I've had a great time with the other one; perfect for it's purpose!

I have been practicing with mine since I got it. Everything from combusting, swirling, slow, and found it very different from the Hot Box I was using which gives huge hits. I have finally found that a slow, sipping works. It's almost like you are taking small puffs or intakes of breath; like from a pipe (I just got a picture Sherlock Holmes in my head). :lol: Hopefully you get my drift. It just takes getting used to not getting huge amounts of vapor at a time. Also, have you tried using it without the stem? That gives an easier air flow, I found. Keep practicing. You'll get the hang of it.

Whats up everybody!

I've been lurking around for a little bit, but finally decided to join. After reading around, the launch box is going to be my first vape. I'm already pretty new to weed, so hopefully this little sucker will blow me away. Thanks everyone for the wealth of information, this is a great place! I just ordered it off of vape world... can't wait, especially since this is finals week for me, it'll be a nice treat once spring break comes around. woo hoo:D
