Once I get replacement tubing I'll post some whip videos, I've been using my Underdog 14mm gong inside the concentrate adapter, really have been enjoying it.

@Madcap79 That's a nice setup, have you tried higher temps and no boosting just controlling the airflow.

I've been using basket screens for oil in the flower bowl instead of my herbalizer pad, it works pretty well. All I have is my own very impure reclaim though, it leaves a hard black ash behind.

No I haven't. I'm willing to try!

It tipped over on the table with my bong and exploded, nothing to salvage except the controller box. The bong and ashcatcher are completely unscathed.
:ugh:
edit: On closer inspection the heater core is still intact, just the outside piece that screws in was broken. But I obviously lost the infinity body and flower bowl.

It seems that my beta is over, and that makes me sad. I would love to get another one but they're pretty fragile. This is the first thing that has broken since I started vaping full time for good, figures it would be my favorite vape. It happened at 6am, what a shitty way to start my day! I would say durability is the infinity's only real drawback, even so I would like to see if this one could get a new body at some point.

So sorry to see this, but I'm sure Chris can set you up with a new body and bowl.

Damn grokit that sucks the big one.

I wanted to let you know I feel for ya but couldn't bring myself to "like" that post.

Mine once took a fall from about 3 feet when it was perched on top of a waterpipe. The Infinity survived but the pipe shattered! Boy was I lucky.... I think the rug cushioned it and saved it. I'd bet the heater can be remounted, good luck!

Of course, that's what kickstarted my GAS, which is a real problem lately!

I had grabbed this weight because I was thinking that I could attach it to the bottom of my bong to help prevent future infinity breakage (fits perfectly). Good think I have more than one, because with a little bit of clear silicone it will work for this purpose as well.

I already had this on order, so hopefully I'll be blowing bags next week sometime

I knew I saved this old flashlight head for something!

Oh wait it's not going to work unless I can plug that hole?
That must be the difference between the boost/balloon models...
not to mention the hole where the wires go in!
Maybe some teflon tape?
:hmm:

You are living in my room right now. Can you PM that pump?

Another reason I wanted to make sure I could blow bags is so friends and new users didn't have to touch the Versa and risk their hands or its life.

Ask Chris for a Incognito body. ;)

Been using my Versa as my heavity hitter with a water pipe. Went to plug it in...zap. Something shorted, I think right at the plug, but the controller box now just stays at 119V and the heating element won't heat up at all. :(

It's a shame the Versa group has seemed to have lost some steam, no new developments for quite awhile.
I have a few new-to-vaping friends who have all cut their teeth on the Versa, and love it. Just hard to steer them to a company who had so many things coming up in their original FC thread but has been so silent after.

Anyway, per my post a few back, I tried Chris's advice on smaller dabs using the concentrate bowl... big difference. I think I corrupted my "science" by overdoing it lol. I like it better than my previous double cap ELB method. Big clouds and super tasty concentrate vapor!!
IMO, the Versa Infinity can definitely hold its own against the other top desktop vapes we discuss on FC.

Love to see what Versa could do if they were in this game 100%!!

What voltage do you use with the concentrate adapter? I have the adapter too, but always found the oil to drip down the insides too much, especially on lower voltages.

I would like to be able to use it more often but concentrate is precious and I have got a lot to waste "experimenting"!

Thanks!

I'm getting low on Herb right now so I made a large batch of ABV QWISO. I'm using the elb cap in the flower bowl and it works great! I'm at 105v(boost is always on) and getting huge milky clouds. :) If it were BHO i'd probably drop down to like 80v for better flavor.

I crank it up to full power(117-118), flavor still very strong/good, dense clouds.

That's good to know, I'll been meaning to grab one of those concentrate bowls so maybe when my body comes back. The only thing is I have no access to concentrates atm, but it's next up at the ballot box. Have you tried it with oil/sublimate, or kief? That's what I have access to until something changes.

What is your preferred voltage for flowers with the stock bowl, on boost?

I've been without my infinity for about a couple of weeks now, and there's no substitute imo. I have an evo and while it's not far behind power-wise, I don't like it as much ergonomically and I find the elb's to be a hassle. This is why I'm rooting for this concentrate bowl to work for you guys!

By ergonomically I mean that with the evo it's harder to just grab the cool part of it, without bumping the knob out of adjustment. This is one reason I like the fact that the infinity has a separate controller box. Also even with a more supple cord than stock, there's no contest the evo cord is still quite a bit more cumbersome than the versa setup. What the evo has going for it is it's a little lighter, and much more durable (unless it falls on the bamboo). Although I doubt that the evo would have survived the event that caused the demise of my infinity, it might have had better odds.

I would love to pick and choose features between these two vapes, and create the ultimate hybrid!

It seems that the versa website is close to being up to speed, it just needs a functional shopping cart (it was limited to just one item checkout when I grabbed my extra bowl), infinity bodies to be "in stock" for us, and complete stater kits need to be listed for new customers. On the upside of versa's status atm, is that we have gotten a great deal on a one-of-a-kind heavy-hitting vaporizer!

I think that all of our beta units have been "tuned" slightly different, I also believe that chris is continuing to tinker with this stuff. We've got huge differences in our reported voltage sweet spots, some of us have bodies/heater cores made for boosting, and some are built for inflation. While it would be nice if a single unit could provide both boost and inflation, I think it may be an intractable issue without changing the whole infinity design. I know that I wouldn't mind grabbing a second heater/body/base for airpump/balloon use at some point, especially if prices stay in beta:) and the same controller box could be used for both units.
