Hey FC, I remember when I first started smoking, I took everything slow. I began vaping in 2012, used various of different vapes from MFLB, Arizer EQ and the Vapolution 2.0. Then I met a friend smoked spliffs, and got me addicted to tobacco which led me to getting addicted to the head rush I got everytime.

This is what killed my vaping experience, not only that I'm literally killing myself everytime. I need to change my habits and I want to start that by vaping again. My price limit is $150-$200, and doesn't really matter if it's desktop or portable, must also work well with concentrates!!!!

The two portable units I've been pretty keen on is the Arizer Solo and the Pinnacle Pro. I love how stealth the PNP looks but I want a vape that will get faaaaaaaaaat clouds, also be using it with a gong adapter!

Puffers

Micro-Climate Mastermind
Between those two? Solo

/thread

I agree with the other members though if you want to get into vaping full time I would budget for a desktop. It should make the easiest conversion that way. If you vape a lot on the go and don't have the $$ for a desktop right now get a solo and save up for it IMO.

An ecig is a good idea as another member mentioned although if you are just getting your nicoctine from spliff's it's probably not necessary and could be done cold turkey IMO. Although my fog machine errr sub ohm ecig is a lot of fun lol.

@Ratchett
I thought about the lotus and love mine but he mentioned liking the stealth factor in the pnp. While the lotus can put out some seriously tasty clouds the torch and two handed operation make it lackluster in the stealth department IMO. If stealth and slight learning curve aren't a factor though for the cash the lotus is hard to beat.

Neither the Solo nor the PNP are gonna give you fat continuous clouds. If you are used to long rips, get a desktop. The E-Nano is truly great for both flowers and concentrates, delivers constant, steady heat, hot enough to get all of the clouds out of your buds/concentrates and even combust your buds if you turn it up too high. The PNP and Solo both cannot reach the temperatures required to fully extract good concentrates. I would be wanting a device capable of up to 800 farenheit if oils are involved.

Still, the Solo is fantastic for flowers and dry hits, as well as bong rips, however, you have to wait for it to warm up for quite some time depending on the age of your batteries after each hit, as you draw heat away from the element when you inhale.

The PNP has irredeemable design flaws as of now, however a dialogue has been started with the manufacturer on this board after his departure for a number of months. It is not useful as a device for generating huge clouds in water pieces. I would recommend never going beyong heat setting 3 with a current PNP (custom gongs and the pgong/interim gong do mitigate the pong issue, but the top plastic assembly of the unit tends to crack once you start pushing beyond this temp for too long).

I'd do what herbovire said and get a nano, you're going to want the power of a desktop.
And you're not addicted to tobacco. You're addicted to nicotine. You can get yourself a low nicotine ejuice and a cheap but effective e-cigarette set up(let me know if you want my advice on that).

What about the Lotus Vaporizer? I love mine and it's great for combusters who enjoy that sensation of combusting a bowl from a waterpipe.

Both my Nano and my Lotus would certainly produce the clouds you're looking for!

The Lotus is harder to learn (someone referred to it as learning a manual transmission), but oh so rewarding and quite enjoyable once you've mastered it.

I feel like this can be somewhat true for me, I know for a fact I am addicted to nicotine but what keeps me coming back and not stoping, is the crave for that head rush I get when i smoke fat moles. I never will smoke a cig, but I will mix that shit religiously with my bud.

I guess I just need to find a different type of high....and damn guy's so many different options now...

E-Nano, Lotus, Herbalaire, LSV, SOLO

I'll say for desktop vapes the one that interests me the most right now is the E-Nano, but what's the major difference between the E-Nano and the Underdog?

If you don't smoke cigarettes, then you're probably better off without E-Juice so that you don't develop a larger dependency for nicotine. It totally makes sense for you to come back to those joints, you've associated the weed and nicotine effects as one experience. Maybe its like you said you need to find a different type of high? If you can get your hands on something close to pure sativa maybe that will solve your problems? If it works it works... if not, try e-cigs. just out of curiosity what's the approximate ratio of weed to tobacco in your joints?
I'll advise against the solo for someone struggling to make the transition. Why sacrifice power for portability if portability is not important to you? Right now you're better off getting the full experience of vaping, after you've transitioned you can start making those sacrifices. Its just much easier that way.

I can't really answer the last question, I'm not too familiar with the underdog, but I'm sure someone will.

"moles to the dome" hahah
havent had one in almost 3 yrs
I quit cold turkey and was sick for a week
I would usually have at least a good 20 moles per day.
Picked up a solo (which was fine since I had a mini t-break) and never looked back
But like @cawshook said, I would also advise against a solo as your first. Especially coming off of moles.
And it's going to be hard regardless of what vape you choose but if you're determined and actually want to stop it won't be a problem.
I still crave moles every once in a while...that head rush just feels too awesome/insane.
Enano is great a great choice tho.

As of now, what I've been trying to do is smoke fat dabs but that just gets me couch locked and I pass tf out. My ratio is 50/50...what there also known as. Stack half tabacco on bottom put the half on top and snap that baby and get the fattest head rush possible. *WARNING* if you do attempt this, please be advise you might get too domed and actually faint. I've seen it happen, and it's pretty hilarious.

I'm glad someone here has gone through this as well. I'm going to have to go cold turkey soon due to a family vacation...this is good and bad. Good thing is it'll help me off the moles bad thing is I don't know how well I'm going to cope w/o it. I'll give the E-nano some more research, but I definitely won't be buying the vape until I come back from vacation.

Here is a dead thread with a few opinions.
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/ud-or-e-nano.14231/

Personally I'm a UD man. The UD, Nano, and the Hi are all great vapes with customer service that is out of this world. 7th floor also makes nice products (SSV, LSV, DBV). It's a good time to be a vape buyer, lol.

(Disclaimer - I've never used a Nano, Hi, SSV, or LSV. )

I'm probably going to go with the E-nano, I love the fact that it heats up relatively fast and the price isn't too bad either. I would consider the HI...but wait time is way too long. I'll probably wait until it's back up on massdrop not really sure how frequent it gets added on there.
