What's the procedure for using oil in this thing? Just replace the bottom screen with the pad and load pad with oil, or am I taking out both screens? Any temp recommendations or suggestions on how much to load? Bag or whip? Thanks to all.

I think you just put a very small amount on the pad. No screen removal necessary. I only do flowers so I haven't done it personally. I do believe that that is all there is to it. Bag or whip is personal preference imho. Just experiment and have fun. Enjoy!

Oil goes on top of the pad, and then the pad goes into the bowl in the place of flowers. We tried max temp with a bag and it was pretty nice for dry dabbing, I can only imagine it gets better through water.

I was able to secure a herbie and its being sent out tomorrow some time, so I can expect it Friday or moan day for sure since its cananda day tomorrow and a national holiday.
Oh well now the anticipation starts and the wait begins.
I'm really hoping this thing does what every review and fc member is saying especially since I'm a medical user and am looking for precise extraction on so many levels and the anti inflamitory properties of the cbn,and cbd and of course THC all of which do a different thing and extract at different temperatures which can make a big difference In some ones well being and being that cannabis essentially a instant effect it makes it so much more effective when a vaperizer performs like ther herbalizer does as they say true medical grade vaperizer for the medical cannabis user.
I'm excited to see how it relieves my symptoms and helps me cope through out the day.
I have a dew strains and some oil so I'm ready to go, lol.
I can't wait.

Cheers, medical mark

I'm a medical exempted patient in Canada and use cannabis for a rare pain condition and cannabis is the main source of wellnes and relief from my many symptoms that are seviere and debilitating and being that the herbalizer is so effective its should be a great unit for me and my pain syndrome.

Here is my Herbie unboxing. All credit goes to hubby because my whole left arm is useless. My nerve block won't wear off until tomorrow. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but will be in a little bit. :)

im so curious to how the herbie compares to my vxh cloud ? cause mine caved the other day i believe the heater is messed up but my herbie is on the way and i think it hits just as hard by the looks of it.
either way its a conflict for me cause i really dont want to spend anything to fix it and if the herbie hits hard like in the videos then i will not need the cloud. besides the cloud is all about water tools and by the looks of it the herbster does a fine job with water tools and the vapor seems thick and consistant.
i cant wait to seee the herbster move vapor.
im realy interested to see how it will work for my wasting syndrome from my pain condition im only 105 lbs and was 185 lbs 6 years ago loosing weight but seem to level out at 105 lbs any less then that is scary, actually 105 lbs is pretty scary.
appeteite stymulation is a real must for me, help me herbie, help me

My nerve block wore off around 3am, and that's when the horrific pain set in. I didn't have enough food on my stomach to take a pain pill, so I decided to rely on my Herbalizer. Hubby pre-loaded a concentrate pad with a little wax before we went to bed. Even in my condition, being pre-loaded, it was pretty easy for me to use it. Just lift the lid, select vaportherapy, set the temp and attach the whip, and it heated up in seconds, literally.

I decided to use the fan assist because I felt terrible, and just wanted things to be easy. I was able to get really medicated in a couple minutes! Got rid of all my nausea, and a good deal of my pain, but not all of it. I'm not even 24 hours post surgery, though. It helped enough that I was able to lay back down and at least rest for another hour and a half. Then I was able to get up and eat some toast and take a pain pill. Then I had another session with Herbie. Now my pain is a lot better and I might even be able to lay down and take a nap.

I'm so happy I got an Herbalizer! It really saved me today!

I donated my ViVape2 to a friend so it was time to get another home unit.
After seeing all of the glowing reviews here and on youtube I just had to order a Herbalizer.
I just placed the order. I can't wait to get it.
Being in SoCal it should not take too long to arrive from San Diego.
I am really interested in using concentrates with this unit.
Will report back soon!

Hey all! I'm a longtime lurker here on FC inspired by Herbie to make my first post... When my beloved PD started tasting funky after years of noble service, I decided to upgrade. After discovering Herbie (thanks FC!) and taking the plunge, I can say with absolute certainty I am another very satisfied customer! Not that I don't have a few improvements/variations, but Herbie has truly set the bar next to any other vape I've tried (Volcano/PD/Nano/UD/VaporBrothers/etc). Herbie's vapor quality, speed, ease of use, flexibility and everything else people are saying is true IMO. We can only hope the Herbie dolphins are dreaming up a portable design! Here's my two bits:
• It's a little bigger than it needs to be. The clamshell idea is cool, but I rarely use the whip and store it elsewhere so the whip storage area is wasted space for me. I removed the lid thanks to a suggestion by another member, and I felt like I upgraded my Herbie! (if that's possible, lol)
• I probably won't ever use aromatherapy, and I'm thinking a simpler model without the lid and aromatherapy could be almost half the size. It might be an attractive model for some...a HerbieLite?
• For whip use, I followed another member's suggestions of getting some wider diameter high-temp silicone (McMaster was great). I felt it improves whip use, and really comes in handy connecting to water.
• As others have said, a GonG adapter and glasstop bowl would be amazing. I've macgruber'd a lowpro 18/14mm adapter to the bowl top using a downstem grommet. It works, but perhaps less than ideal.
• My favorite water piece with Herbie is a $99 hydratube I got from GBD–very little water, no splash–awesome! It sits pretty solidly right on the lowpro. I admit I was a little leery when I saw pics of others doing this, but with the closed mouthpiece and the water level I use I'm not worried. That said, I'll use the whip or bags with all except my most trusted guests though!
So all in all, I'm really loving my Herbie!!!
P.S. My avatar is from the cover of Herbie Hancock's Thrust album–also highly recommended!

According to fedex my herbie comes tomorrow! And I lucked out and was actually able to grab some really dank Super Lemon Haze (I have cuts in my hands from trying to grind it it was so wet :p ) . So I'm looking forward to seeing how the herbie handle it! Just wish I had the dabs to try too :/ . While I'm getting the general gist of what most other people like to run temp wise for various flower types, what temps do people like doing their dabs, on average?

For oils I start at 420 and finish at 445 (max)

Understanding that everyone has a preference, would you say that range is what most people regularly use?

Also, how does one usually adjust for what form the oil is in (crumble over, say, shatter, for instance)?

I'm going to guess though that unlike dry herb, the strain is a bit less relevant as per how hot you run it given it's all reduced into a different aforementioned state which I imagine has a little more to do with it.

This has already been done - many times. All the info you desire has already been posted in this thread. Plenty of detailed pics posted by several experienced members. Use search function or start from page 1 and read forward. Everyone seems to have their own way, you'll find one that works for you.

I've talked to Carrie regarding the need for an adapter and water tools specifically geared toward the Herbalizer. Kind of like VapeXhale, but in a Herbie sort of way. She said Josh and Bob have been working on that possibility, but it sounds like it's going to be some time before these accessories are brought to market.

I know some people like experimenting and using what they have on hand to hook Herbie up to water. It's just not my thing. I think it would be great to be able to connect the Herbalizer glass on glass without the whip or simply jamming a hydro tube on top with a piece of silicone. I've read this thread in its entirety and haven't seen a great water filtration hook up yet. I hope Josh and Bob can address this issue in the short run. I know what ever they come up with will be exceptional.

Just thought I should chime in here. I am waiting on delivery of my new herbalizer(first vape), all the owners in this thread make a pretty convincing argument!

anyway... more to the point. My herbalizer is coming from PlanetVape and I've been in contact with them. I asked if they would be offering a GonG attachment for the herbalizer, or if I could have one made since they do custom glass orders. They told me they are currently working on a few accessories for the herbie and they should be ready by the end of July. Also if you are looking for a do-it-yourself solution in the meantime I posted a question about a few pieces I though would work quite well a few pages back and never got an answer. Maybe someone could take a look at that post and tell me what they think, as I'm pretty sure it would be a great solution.

Sorry I'm not sure how to link to that post.... It shouldn't be too hard to find though.
